“Gasp…”
“Gasp…!”
I narrowed my eyes and looked around.
The expectant gazes were filled with a strange anticipation.
The owners of those sparkling eyes were my familiars, Aurel, and Hwanggu.
I realized that my current posture was quite odd. I was undressed, straddling a human woman’s belly, with her upper body exposed.
It was naturally a misunderstanding.
But I was confident. I had no such intentions, and this wasn’t my preference. I glanced at Dal Bunny’s large chest and stood up.
“Sob… Sob…”
Dal Bunny turned her slightly flushed face to the side, tears streaming down.
“What are you going to do?”
Aurel’s voice was filled with a peculiar anticipation.
What else? We should drag her outside and kill her.
Attacking inside the store was impossible.
“We have to kill her.”
Dal Bunny’s face showed shock at my calm words.
Aurel and Hwanggu were also surprised.
She had shown hostility as soon as she saw me. Killing her was the obvious choice.
If this had been a normal place and not a store, a bullet might have already pierced my head.
“Please don’t kill me!”
Dal Bunny tried to resist again, begging for her life loudly.
I looked down at her and shook my head.
“Hmm…”
“Please…”
Why should I spare a human?
I crossed my arms and tilted my head.
It felt a bit chilly below since I wasn’t wearing clothes.
“I’ll do anything, anything…”
“She says she’ll do anything!”
Aurel reacted excitedly to Dal Bunny’s words.
I ignored Aurel and pondered.
She said she’d do anything. Did that mean she was willing to become livestock, providing meat and blood without dying?
“Will you really do anything?”
I thought of the vampires gathered at the church.
Two humans were helping them, but it was far from enough to feed nearly fifty vampires.
What if we added one more person? No, one more livestock.
Like the werewolves do, extracting blood until the brink of death.
Just barely keeping them alive.
Using the minimum amount of potions to extract a large amount of blood.
Maximum efficiency.
“Anything…”
“Yes, anything. As long as you’re alive, right?”
“No, no! Not that!”
Dal Bunny shouted with a pale face, realizing something.
I sighed and frowned, and Aurel cautiously spoke up.
“Charlotte…!”
“What?”
“Why not make her a familiar?”
“A familiar… Ah…”
I thought about the benefits of making her a familiar.
If Dal Bunny became my familiar, she couldn’t refuse my orders.
Like with Yepi, I could extract a lot of information.
I decided.
To add one more familiar.
“No way…”
As I stood up and reached out, Yepi muttered blankly.
He seemed to realize what I was about to do.
I smiled lightly and said.
“Eat.”
A light command.
My voice, mixed with a bit of excitement, slowly spread.
“Huh…?”
Dal Bunny, who had been begging for her life, looked puzzled at my sudden action.
But there was no time to answer her question.
Swoosh-
A giant beast’s head rose from the shadow beneath my feet.
Dal Bunny, with a pale face, could only gape at the monstrous beast.
“Aurel, Hwanggu.”
I called Aurel and Hwanggu.
The other kids, being part of my familiar shadow, wouldn’t mind getting eaten together, but these two were different.
“Yes!”
“Yes!”
Hwanggu and Aurel quickly ran over at my call.
Even with the two girls removed, Dal Bunny couldn’t move.
All the preparations were complete.
As I signaled to the shadow beast, it immediately closed its mouth.
Crunch-
The shadow swallowed Dal Bunny and soon spat out a large egg.
Inside, Dal Bunny’s form was changing.
I turned towards the store NPC.
“Looking for something?”
“Show me the items.”
“Hmm…”
The NPC nodded at my words.
At that moment, a familiar game interface appeared before my eyes.
[Black Under Armour]
Level Requirement: 5
Defense +5
A basic armor commonly available in stores.
It automatically adjusts to the wearer’s body size.
10,000 Credits
[Ankle Brace]
Level Requirement: 5
Defense +2
Strength +1
A basic armor commonly available in stores.
It slightly reduces the probability of ankle injuries.
10,000 Credits
[Black Leggings]
Level Requirement: 5
Defense +5
A basic armor commonly available in stores.
It automatically adjusts to the wearer’s body size.
10,000 Credits
“Ha…”
I sighed as I looked at the items for sale.
I had hoped for more, but as expected, only very basic armor was available.
And the prices were higher than those for weapons.
“Do you also buy items?”
“Of course.”
I nodded and gestured towards the shadow.
Skill books that I had farmed from the bookstore poured out.
“Oh…”
The shop NPC was impressed by the significant amount of skill books.
I received credits in exchange and purchased the black leggings and ankle brace.
I wished I could buy items for Hwanggu and Aurel too, but I didn’t have enough credits.
“Sigh…”
I tried on the very thin leggings.
The size seemed slightly large, but it instantly shrunk to fit snugly around my lower body.
The design was quite aggressive, showing the curves of my body.
The end of the leggings clung to my soft thighs, creating a peculiar line.
Then, I put on the ankle brace.
Even though my stats and defense increased, I didn’t feel significantly stronger.
Once I finished putting on the basic armor, I summoned the shadow to create my usual clothes.
“Sigh…”
Aurel sighed, looking disappointed.
Hwanggu didn’t say anything, but her ears drooped, suggesting she felt the same as Aurel.
Why are the people around me like this?
Just as I was about to scold Aurel and Hwanggu,
crackling noise suddenly caught my attention.
When I turned my head, I saw a large egg cracking.
A new familiar was about to be born.
“Charlotte…! A new one is about to be born!”
“I know.”
“It’s your child, Charlotte!”
My familiar, my child.
It wasn’t entirely wrong, but it felt strange.
My expression twisted slightly.
At that moment.
Crack-
The black egg completely shattered.
“Ah…”
What poured out from inside was, of course, a girl who resembled me.
Long silver hair and a beautiful, pale body.
At that moment, the Mystic Eye conveyed the girl’s information.
[Dal BunnyVw]
Level: 13
Species: Vampire (Charlotte’s Familiar)
Health: 100%
Mana: 100%
Emotional state: Panic, Fear
I nodded as I reviewed the information.
The familiarization of Dal Bunny was successfully completed.
Her level had significantly decreased, likely a penalty for becoming a familiar.
“This, this is…”
Dal Bunny stood up and examined her body.
She seemed to have a hard time accepting her transformed appearance, her face showing distress.
Aurel, fascinated by Dal Bunny’s new form, approached and poked her soft skin with her fingers.
Each time Aurel’s fingers touched, the soft skin seemed to nibble on the small fingers.
Hwanggu started sniffing Dal Bunny.
Her sniffing posture, lying down, looked more like a puppy than a wolf.
“Gasp…! Gasp…!”
“Aurel.”
I called Aurel back.
If left alone, Aurel’s fingers might pierce Dal Bunny’s skin.
Aurel retreated with a sullen expression.
“How do you feel?”
“Weird… I feel weird…”
Dal Bunny answered tearfully.
Her gaze, looking up at me, seemed much cuter than before.
I was reminded of my weakness.
I really am weak to children.
“Stay inside for now.”
“Inside? Where?”
I put Dal Bunny into the shadow.
We needed to leave this place quickly.
The loud explosion must have echoed throughout the city.
It was only a matter of time before humans arrived.
Although dealing with Dal Bunny took a lot of time, gaining a cute familiar made it worthwhile.
“Let’s go.”
I led Aurel and Hwanggu out of the sewer.
It was a shame we couldn’t buy more armor, but now that we knew the location, we just needed to gather credits.
Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any human players as we exited the sewer.
As soon as we entered a suitable building after leaving the sewer,
the smell of blood began to waft from afar.
It was the scent of human blood.
And quite a lot of it.
“Sniff sniff!”
Hwanggu, sensitive to smells, also lifted her head and started sniffing.
I patted Hwanggu’s head and cautiously looked out the window.
At the end of the dark road, a group of humans was rapidly approaching.
They weren’t running on foot. They were riding something.
Vroom-!
The clear sound of engines echoed from afar.
They were riding motorcycles.
There were ten motorcycles in total, all in good condition.
In the late dawn, they looked like a gang of bikers racing down the road.
As I watched in awe, the humans approached the site of the explosion.
They stopped and began to dismount one by one.
I used the Mystic Eye to check their information.
Two of them were level 20 humans.
The other eight also had quite high levels.
The humans who dismounted began to survey the surroundings and then jumped into the collapsed sewer.
Only two humans remained on the road.
Our instinct is spot on. Those bikes are very tempting! And it sounds like they’re just begging to be taken for a spin.
Let’s proceed smartly here. We’ll need to outmaneuver the two guards without attracting too much attention.
Given the abilities, we could create a distraction that lures them away from the bikes.
Perhaps using shadows to make noise in a different direction or deploying a familiar to lead them off.
Once they’re away, seizing those motorcycles becomes a lot more straightforward.
With Aurel and Hwanggu’s help, we sped away before they even know what hit them.
