Chapter 30: Hex Rotation, Part 3

Fortunately, I wasn’t too late.

Everyone who emerged from the shattered Domain was unharmed.

“Who are you?”

The octopus curse asked. I considered for a moment, then chuckled.

“Just a passerby.”

It wasn’t entirely untrue. I had arrived here by chance.

The curse scowled.

“Then be on your way. If you interfere…”

“…”

“I’ll kill you.”

I burst out laughing again.

“You? Kill me?”

That was the funniest thing I had heard all year.

‘Is this it?’

In martial arts stories, a vast difference in skill often led to the weaker party boldly challenging the stronger one, unaware of the disparity.

This seemed to be the case here.

I had been mentally simulating a fight against this curse since I arrived, and the outcome was always the same.

I wouldn’t lose, as long as I didn’t get careless.

Time for a proper introduction.

[Demonic Divine Art Demonic Heaven Splitter]

Demonic Heaven Splitter was a devastating attack, capable of shattering the heavens.

While I rarely used it against humans, it was perfectly acceptable against curses.

The power of Demonic Heaven Splitter, capable of destroying even the sky when mastered, surged through my fist and struck the octopus curse.

‘Did it withstand the attack?’

“That hurts!!”

The curse screamed in pain, but it didn’t seem significantly injured.

‘It’s like it has infinite HP.’

Nanami Kento had mentioned this in the original story. The octopus curse could take damage, but its HP was practically limitless.

The impact felt satisfying.

My attack had connected perfectly.

However, its near-infinite HP rendered the attack ineffective.

‘What to do…’

As I pondered a solution, the curse punched me.

“That hurts!”

I calmly caught its fist.

While its HP was practically infinite, its other stats were inferior to mine.

I relaxed.

Infinite HP wasn’t a problem.

It was near-infinite, not truly infinite.

‘One shot.’

All I needed was a single, overwhelmingly powerful attack.

I bit my hand.

Crackle!

Lightning struck the earth. Everyone around me scrambled back in surprise. I had transformed.

[Titan Transformation]

I looked down at the stunned curse, slowly raised my foot, and stomped down with all my might.

Boom!

The ground shook as if an earthquake had struck.

Concrete shattered and flew in all directions, transforming the surroundings into a scene of utter devastation.

Just before being crushed, the curse remembered.

The fear of being controlled.

The humiliation of being trapped.

‘Hanami… I’m coming.’

Squish

‘That was anticlimactic.’

It was over too quickly. I expected it to withstand at least two stomps, but it died instantly.

Perhaps it was weaker than I thought.

I deactivated my Titan form, emerging from the nape.

“Haa!”

Being inside the Titan’s nape always felt a bit stuffy.

I hoped it would improve, but there was nothing I could do about it now.

I looked at the stunned onlookers and asked, “I’m going after Sukuna now. Anyone want to join me?”

They all stared at me as if I was crazy.

Why?

Maki Zenin stood there, her mouth agape.

She couldn’t believe what she had just witnessed.

‘There are many types of cursed techniques, but I’ve never seen or heard of anything like that.’

Defeating a special grade curse-level opponent in human form? Possible. They had all seen Gojo Satoru, the monster who defied human comprehension.

But what she had just witnessed was unprecedented.

“It was like a Titan.”

A Titan.

A mythical creature from stories. She had never considered their existence, but perhaps she had been mistaken.

She had just seen one.

A Titan.

‘Who is he?’

Accepting the existence of Titans brought another question to mind.

Who was the man standing before her?

Capable of transforming into a Titan and overwhelming a special grade curse in human form.

‘Perhaps…’

He was a sorcerer from the Heian era, the golden age of jujutsu.

‘Then he must be at least 1,000 years old?’

The thought terrified her.

A human who had lived for over a millennium.
