Chapter 30: “Traitor”

A man with a slim build wielding twin swords is being chased by numerous enemies.

The fighter’s fists and kicks push him into a corner, and the swordsman’s blade tears through his body.

• The sniper’s bullet will never miss.

Losing vitality rapidly, it seemed certain that the man would soon die.

It was because of this.

Even when the man’s ally appeared, the pursuers didn’t retreat.

Just one more hit, just one more hit.

Then they could sever the demon slayer’s breath.

The executioner, using his large body as a shield, blocked the way in front of his ally.

Instead of a left hand, he had a hook, and in his right hand, he held a terrifying large cleaver.

The burlap sack-like mask on his head instilled fear.

How does he see in front of him when there are no eye holes?

The sniper’s bullet is straight, and if something blocks its path, it can’t reach the enemy.

The demon slayer, hiding behind the executioner’s back.

One of the fighter or swordsman must finish him off.

They ignored the executioner and turned to the side.

As long as one of them kills the demon slayer, their victory is secured.

The executioner decided to block the swordsman.

With a stomp, the ground shakes, making the swordsman’s body stagger.

In that moment, the fighter sneaks up behind the executioner.

If he can land just one punch on the demon slayer.

It would be impossible to avoid the fighter’s punch, which is so fast that it’s hard to even see the movement.

But there was no impact on the punch that was certain to hit.

The opponent disappeared in an instant, from in front to behind.

A hit was felt on his back.

The attacker missed, but the enemy struck him.

The fighter, now adopting a defensive stance, tries to turn around to counterattack.

But now, the demon slayer, charging with twin swords, tears through the fighter’s body.

His health quickly drained away.

To lose to an opponent who just needs one more hit to die, such disgrace was unbearable.

One more hit, just one more hit.

Please, let me land that one punch!

However, before the punch could land, the fighter’s life was extinguished.

A loud roar of a demon echoes.

It was the sound of the demon slayer transforming into a demon.

In summary, it meant the situation was ruined.

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <Why is that reversed?>

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <Abuse??? >

GaegukComedy (Fighter) – <How is there abuse in a single game?>

GaegukComedy (Fighter) – <Isn’t Jeonjeonseol hacking? How did the fighter dodge the Q?>

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <Did he dodge it?>

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <Did he miss?>

GaegukComedy (Fighter) – <You try hitting then, **>

GaegukComedy (Fighter) – <You can’t even hit non-targets, just stick to being a sniper, ****>

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <If we clear the meat shield, it’s an easy kill>

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <You guys can’t even do that>

SniperHoon (Sniper) – <Quit the game>

SwordsmanOnly (Swordsman) – <Does Wild look like a ᄌ?>

SwordsmanOnly (Swordsman) – <What is this, some sort of mountain?>

The demon slayer, now transformed, absorbs the souls of the enemies he’s killed, restoring a great deal of health.

His attack type changes to ranged, with increased attack power and speed, and his charge skill is reset with each kill.

Eventually, the swordsman was swiftly cut down, and the sniper, trying to escape, was dragged back to the demon slayer by the executioner’s hook, as he was bound by another enemy.

The demon slayer finished them off with a 5-kill streak.

<Wow ᄉᄇ>

<First match and it’s already a mad movie>

<Does the fighter have a motion for Q??? Why did I not know until now?>

<It doesn’t matter if you know or not, no one can dodge it anyway>

<How did he manage to fill his grudge bar, though? ᄏᄏ>

<Is this not his first match?>

<Now that I see it, he intentionally got hit in the middle>

<The low-health CC move is legendary>

<Everyone fell for it and went down>

The demon slayer’s grudge bar fills up the most when skills land, and even hitting with basic attacks or losing health fills it as well.

Due to the enormous gauge, it’s very difficult to transform at the perfect moment, making this a character suited for high-level players.

Even when the gauge is almost full, the enemies often escape before he can transform.

Jeonjeonseol deliberately took hits from enemies to fill the grudge gauge, lowering his health to make sure they couldn’t escape without finishing the job.

The enemies, mesmerized by the thought that they just needed one more hit, chased after Jeonjeonseol.

However, Jeonjeonseol dodged all three decisive skills of the fighter and turned the tables.

The remaining enemies had no choice but to surrender their lives to her teammate, who was lying in ambush.

“Nice tanking, Wild!”

“Great reaction! Wow! You’re still alive!”

Though they couldn’t high-five through the monitor, Jeonjeonseol and Wild praised each other through their microphones.

It was the kind of teamwork that could make it into a best mad movie.

Jeonjeonseol did well, but it was only possible because she trusted Wild.

No matter how good Jeonjeonseol was, she couldn’t avoid the sniper’s shot.

It was Wild who saved her by blocking it.

In fact, Wild also perfectly marked the swordsman.

<Swordsman charging and getting pulled by the hook was hilarious>

<The mountain itself ᄃᄃ>

<How does Wild dodge the sniper’s shot while also blocking the swordsman?>

<If you could do that, you’d be a pro right now, haha>

<Wild is truly different>

<20>

‘This is a team! A team that moves smoothly without needing to say a word!’

Jeonjeonseol, who had been lamenting the terrible talents of the viewers while broadcasting on Maepa.

After matching up with Wild, she felt so good, and she thought that she could never go back before working with him.

It felt like she had gained half of her life.

‘The fighter dodged Q with a blink. This guy’s insane.’

Wild thought.

Dodging the fighter’s Q by watching the motion was something only the fastest reflexes among top-tier pros could do.

The attack motion is big, but the precursor motion—like pulling the arm slightly back—can be seen and reacted to.

It’s a 5v5 team game, not a 1v1 fighting game, so who even pays attention to those kinds of motions?

But he didn’t back away far; instead, he went behind the enemy and dealt damage while turning the tables.

It was truly a crazy play.

‘Wait, is she insane?’

The voice coming through the headset was so awkward.

The person showing equal skill to me is a girl?

‘Sorry, but it’s lucky I saw the photo.’

Wild was quite popular.

He wasn’t the type of person who was hungry for women.

So when Jeonjeonseol told him not to fall for her, he reacted by thinking it was nonsense.

• He realized he might have been wrong.

Women were always outside his realm.

They didn’t understand games, and even if they did, they couldn’t enjoy them together.

For a normal person, maybe that wasn’t a big deal, but for a pro like Wild, they could never play ‘the same game.’

They could only play lower-level social games, but they shouldn’t.

But she had already slipped into that realm.

If he hadn’t seen the photo, he might have fallen for her completely.

Whew, thank goodness.

<Jeonjeonseol exchanged appearance and gaming skills ᅲᅲ>

<Pretty face, but bad at gaming>

<I didn’t even turn on the webcam, but these guys are overdoing it>

<She’d be a big hit if she debuted as a VTuber, right? Should I buy her a frame?>

<Her voice and gaming skills are legendary>

<This could work internationally>

<She should have quit that crap game and focused on team play ᄍᄍ>

“Get out of here, you little bastard.”

Jeonjeonseol still couldn’t hold back her anger toward Maepa.

But it was a clear fact that when she played Team-A, many people were amazed by her gameplay.

To watch gaming broadcasts, you need to know something about games.

It seemed a bit tough to get people to acknowledge the rough graphics and complex system of Magical Fight.

‘After all that hard work on the lecture broadcast.’

Claps only happen when hands meet, and you can only wear shoes if they match.

Magical Fight, with no worthy opponent for Jeonjeonseol, became a game that couldn’t be enjoyed.

“I can’t lose Maepa! I can’t lose everything!”

“Why are you suddenly like this?”

“I hate Teamfight Arena! I hate Infinity, who destroyed Maepa, and I hate all of you who betrayed Maepa!”

“Hey, if Team-A disappears, I’ll lose my pro status!”

“Betrayer!”

But the most hated thing was the fact that she had just enjoyed Teamfight Arena.
