Chapter 31: Dominating the Game: Crushing the Enemy’s Spirit

The game began.

I purchased support items and potions and immediately dashed toward the bush in our designated invade-defense area.

Our team composition was filled with champions with low durability, making early 5v5 skirmishes unfavorable.

A single mistake could lead to severe losses and extend the game unnecessarily.

I carefully kept an eye on the surroundings.

“Ah, you think the skin looks pretty? You’ve got good taste. This is my favorite skin.”

Arin was interacting with her viewers.

Her character, holding candy instead of bombs, had an adorable look, a refreshing change from the typical explosive visuals.

It paired perfectly with the blue chroma she was using.

In internet broadcasting, keeping the audio lively and engaging is crucial, regardless of the content.

I chimed in to compliment her skin and join the conversation.

“Yeah, the skin’s really pretty. Do you like blue, Arin?”

“Ah, damn it…”

Arin shut her eyes tightly and slammed her armrests repeatedly.

Her face turned crimson.

Why was she reacting like this?

I genuinely meant the compliment because I thought it was cute.

Oh, right. The blue panties.

The image from the bathroom flashed through my mind.

I had made a slip of the tongue without realizing it.

“Ugh, so annoying. I should’ve gone in first.”

[?????]
[??]
[What happened?]
[????]

The viewers spammed question marks, curious about what was going on.

But I could never explain it to them.

Looking at Arin’s expression, it seemed like the damage I’d caused was far more significant than I’d expected.

I decided not to bring up anything blue in the future, even remotely.

“By the way, I’m genuinely curious—if you use that chroma, do the bombs turn blue as well?”

“Stop it already, you jerk!”

I really shouldn’t have said that.

It was rude and improper.

But her reaction was just too cute.

I couldn’t help but push one last time.

“Arin, pull back! They’re invading.”

As expected, an invade attack was incoming.

But we had already set up thorough vision, so we handled it with ease.

The enemies gained no advantage and retreated to their side.

“Hey! League of Legends is so much fun. You can’t dodge this, right?”

[What kind of targeting skill is this? Never misses. LOL.]

[Called it.]

[Ashe is just standing still, probably busy typing in chat. LOL.]

[Mummy boy can’t land a single bandage shot.]

[The lane’s getting pushed. How are they supposed to engage?]

After helping with the red buff leash, we moved to the bottom lane.

The long-awaited laning phase had begun.

The opposing bottom duo, Ashe and Amumu, were getting thoroughly outplayed.

Every time Xerath charged and released his lightning bolts, their health dwindled bit by bit.

Before long, they were dangerously low, having burned through their heals, flashes, and every spell.

“Go back to base or die. Oh, wait! I didn’t give you permission to farm CS!”

Arin was in high spirits, her mouth moving non-stop.

How could she keep up such high energy without skipping a beat?

Was this what broadcast experience looked like?

I realized I still had a long way to go.

My gameplay skills might be far superior, but that was all I had.

I lacked other important skills.

Streaming with her was making that abundantly clear.

That being said, her skill shots were impressive.

She was landing her bombs with a high accuracy rate and managing her mana well.

This was definitely different from when I played duo with Moonhwa.

How long had it been since I last had this much fun playing League of Legends?

The game was genuinely exciting.

“They’re so stubborn. Arin, they’re not going back to base.”

“Then they need to be punished. Kill these bastards!”

[DOUBLE KILL!]

In League, not dying is half the battle.

It’s crucial not to give the enemy champions any kills.

If you’re low on health, you should return to base.

Greedily staying for minion experience often ends in disaster.

Positioning myself strategically, I targeted both champions with a well-aimed lightning strike.

The Comet rune skill triggered, amplifying the damage, and they both dropped simultaneously.

“Ah! At least let me get a kill. I’m the ADC here.”

“The one who lands the killing blow gets the kill. If you’re upset, aim better next time.”

“Ugh, fine. At least let me get the turret gold.”

“No time for that. Let’s grab it quickly and head back to base.”

Things were going smoothly.

We secured a double kill, broke two layers of the turret shield, and pocketed the turret gold.

Back at the fountain, I purchased the Tear of the Goddess item.

It came with an option that restored 20% of maximum mana upon leveling up.

I was ready to hit even harder now.

“Wow, bro! What’s with your damage? You’re insane!”

“They won’t be able to handle it now. Let’s finish the bottom lane quickly and rotate to mid.”

I hit Ashe with a Q skill lightning wave and a W skill eye of destruction simultaneously, dropping her health to half in an instant. Panicked, she retreated in a rush.

[All Chat][Ashe: Please report Amumu. He’s just standing back, watching against a poke comp.]

[All Chat][Amumu: You’re at critical health because you got hit by every skill. How am I supposed to engage?]

There it was—team arguments in all chat.

Ashe and Amumu were bickering in plain sight.

This made the game even easier, as it would lower the morale of their entire team.

“Arin, Lee Sin is behind the dragon pit.”

“Got it!”

The enemy jungler, Lee Sin, came for a gank.

We fell back cautiously, avoiding unnecessary risks.

Even then, I managed to land another skill shot, further reducing his health.

Ashe, seemingly flustered, stood still for a moment before attempting to recall.

….

[Quick recall. LOL.]

[Ashe looks thrilled. 5-minute CS count: 17. LOL.]

[Meanwhile, they interrupted the recall with a bomb. Are these guys demons? LOL.]

[This game is so cursed. LOL.]

….

“Nice! You stopped their recall perfectly.”

“Bro! Let’s just push. They’ve burned all their spells, and Ashe is low on health, so she can’t assist the gank anyway.”

At this point, even Lee Sin wasn’t much of a threat.

We continued to spam skills and relentlessly pushed the lane.

What could they do?

It was essentially a 2v2, and we were confident.

The difference in items and skill levels was massive.

“Lee Sin’s retreating.”

“Alright, bye-bye.”

It seemed Lee Sin judged the gank meaningless and returned to his jungle.

Meanwhile, we kept pushing the lane and landing skill shots.

Amumu was on his last breath, and another perfect opportunity arose.

“If you’re going to leave, at least drop a kill first!”

Frustrated, Ashe retreated far behind the turret and tried to recall again.

Pointless.

Did you think I couldn’t reach you from that distance?

Xerath charged his skill for a long time, reaching the maximum range.

Then, he used his Flash spell to teleport forward.

The already long range of his Q skill extended even further.

Ashe, hit at the very edge of the range, died once again.

[You have slain an enemy.]

“Amumu, come here. I’ll be gentle. Hehe!”

Jigsaw pulled Amumu in with his W skill.

We all unleashed our skills, competing for the kill.

[You have slain an enemy.]

Tsk, this time Jigsaw landed the last hit.

Well, I’ve gotten three kills already, so I can let one slide.

Growing together is a good thing anyway.

….

[Jayce: Ah! Lee Sin’s camping top. Why is our jungler playing RPGs instead of helping?]

[RealZhao: Didn’t you see I was covering mid after it got pushed? And come on, that gank led to your death. What do you mean you barely survived?]

….

Unfortunately, our top laner, Jayce, was killed by Lee Sin’s gank.

But it wasn’t too bad since we were too far to provide any cover.

Meanwhile, we had wiped out the enemy bot duo and pushed the minion wave to the tower.

It was now safe to attack the turret freely.

We chipped away at its health until it was down to a quarter.

“Alright, see you later. We’re heading to mid.”

When the turret’s health dropped below 25%, Jigsaw activated his W skill’s passive, instantly destroying it and effectively ending the bot lane phase.

The revived enemy bot duo arrived in haste, only to find their turret destroyed.

They stood there, dazed.

“Eight-minute Luden’s Echo feels so good.”

“You too? Oh, same here.”

The game was going exceptionally well.

Both Xerath and Jigsaw had already completed their first core mythic items.

I benefitted from kills and support item effects, while Arin collected CS. With turret plating and destruction rewards, we accumulated an enormous amount of gold.

[Look at that damage, lol.]

[Half health gone from a scratch, rofl.]

[Even Lissandra, who was holding her own in lane, is baffled, haha.]

[Come on, is this even a game, lmao?]

[At this point, I wouldn’t blame the bot duo for raging, lol.]

We followed the plan and rotated to mid lane.

The original mid laner, Galio, was sent down to bot.

Just landing a single Q skill reduced the enemy mid laner Lissandra’s health by nearly half.

Lee Sin rushed over to provide cover, but the gap had already widened too much.

Desperate, he used his dash skill to approach but ended up getting beaten and had to Flash away to survive.

Thus began the endless barrage.

Xerath and Jigsaw continuously spammed their skills.

The enemy champions darted around like it was a shooting game, dodging as best as they could.

But it was all futile—they were in the palm of my hand.

Cute, really. Their movements were predictable.

Another successful attack left them critically low.

“Boom!”

Boom!

[Double Kill!]
[On a Rampage!]

Jigsaw unleashed his ultimate, Inferno Bomb, covering Lissandra and Lee Sin in a massive explosion.

Both champions perished in the fiery blast.

….

[All Chat][Lissandra: Ugh, screw this game. Just push mid. I’m done.]

[All Chat][Lee Sin: This team luck is disgusting. Bot lane players aren’t even human. Why are Ashe and Amumu still level 6 and doing nothing?]

[All Chat][Lee Sin: Are you seriously just farming the lane with Galio right now?]

[All Chat][Ashe: What difference would it make if I went up? You should’ve fixed this with your ganks earlier.]

[All Chat][Lee Sin: What do you mean no difference? At least become an ult bot or something.]

[All Chat][Ashe: …]

….

The enemy team’s morale was utterly crushed.

Lissandra stopped showing up altogether.

This game was ours.

Since they asked, we obliged and pushed mid lane.

[All Chat][Amumu: Ashe kept yelling at me, so I’m just throwing the game. Please kill me.]

“What a mess. Arin, maybe you should’ve gone easier on them. The enemy team’s completely lost it.”

“You’re worse than me, oppa.”

The game ended anticlimactically.

The mid laner was AFK in the fountain, and the support suicided into the turrets.

There was no point in continuing.

As soon as the 15-minute mark hit, the enemy surrendered.

[Victory]

“Too easy. Sorry, girls who set the mission. I just couldn’t find a way to fail this one.”

“Arin, good job.”

“Well done. But seriously, how are you this good? There’s no way this is bronze-level skill. What’s your main account’s rank? Just tell me.”

“This is my main account.”

“Yeah, right.”

It was a smooth win.

Honestly, it felt like playing against AI.

At least AI doesn’t lose its composure.

Once one lane crumbled, the rest followed like dominoes.

Playing with Arin as my duo made it feel like there was no threat at all.

It’s only been 15 minutes.

Does that mean I have 45 minutes to finish two more games?

Today’s main mission was to finish three games in under an hour. It seemed easily achievable.

“Yeah, just finish quickly. That’s why I set the mission in the first place.”

Today was truly a good day.

I couldn’t stop smiling since Yuseong picked me up in his car.

Our relationship had gotten closer so quickly.

Even though the original plan failed, there had been definite progress.

When the broadcast started, I was in high spirits.

But as the haunted house segment ended, my emotions began to shift.

“Arin, I’m sorry. I must’ve been too mean. I won’t do it again, okay? Cheer up, please?”

From the moment Yuseong stroked Arin’s hair, a wave of irritation surged through me.

What is this? Why? She didn’t even try.

Why does she get comforting, kind words from Yuseong?

If they had just been joking around or had meaningless physical contact for content, I wouldn’t feel this annoyed.

But I’ve never received a warm gaze like that!

Ugh, whatever. Why am I becoming so petty?

Yuseong’s stream is thriving right now.

I should be happy, but I just can’t be.
