Leng Qing’s expression turned cold.
She slowly swallowed the tea down her throat.
She waited until Sphinx was desperate enough before speaking leisurely.
“You’re too naive. I’m the chief of the Potion Department, and you just went ahead and drank the tea I gave you so easily.”
“You… what did you put in the tea?”
Sphinx had to use all his strength just to avoid collapsing to the ground.
“Nothing much. Just that a classmate of mine, also a top student, once told me you were cute, and he wanted to sleep with you.”
“Normally, you hadn’t offended me, so I wouldn’t have made a move.”
“But now…”
Leng Qing’s eyes gleamed with a cold glint.
“Since you’ve wronged me first, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Sphinx immediately covered his butt.
“You… how can you do this? I… I was just following someone’s orders.”
Leng Qing gave a slight nod.
“I’m just following someone’s orders too. Oh, and actually, I really dislike seeing two men rolling around in bed.”
“So, my dear junior, I came up with a solution for you.”
The heat in Sphinx’s body began to rise gradually.
When the changes started, he was shocked to see his chest slowly protruding outward.
Sphinx was horrified.
“You… you used…”
“It’s a gender transformation potion. A magical brew developed from ancient texts.”
“It has the miraculous effect of turning a boy into a girl.”
“Now that you’re a girl, there’s nothing strange about you sleeping with my classmate anymore.”
Sphinx frantically searched his memory for every potion expert he knew.
Leng Qing shook her head, as if dismissing his thoughts.
“Seven days. The potion takes effect in seven days.”
“Even if you find a potion expert who can break through the magical defense and identify the ingredients, there’s no way they can study its properties and develop a cure within a single week.”
“Maybe a grand magus could brute-force break my potion’s effects in seven days…”
“But why would a grand magus waste an entire week of research just for you?”
Sphinx stared blankly at Leng Qing.
He had imagined she might seek revenge.
He knew he might suffer physically.
But he never expected her to be this ruthless—leaving no room for escape.
“S-Senior… is there really no way to undo this?”
Leng Qing shook her head.
The smile had completely disappeared from her pale, delicate face.
In its place was the pride and disdain of a queen.
“In five days, your senior Landon is scheduled to present his experiment results to me.”
“Do you know what that means to me?”
Leng Qing was waiting for him to take a stand.
Sphinx clenched his teeth.
After hesitating for a while, he said, “If… if you can undo the potion’s effect on me, I swear I’ll make sure Landon’s plan completely fails.”
A satisfied arc appeared on Leng Qing’s lips.
“Oh? Really?”
Sphinx spread out his hands.
“Do I have any other choice now?”
“Good. Then I’ll be waiting for your good news.”
Leng Qing left with her maid.
She left behind the beautiful girl Hodor to watch Sphinx in his sorry state.
“I think you understand the situation you’re in.”
“And don’t count on the department head, or the dean, or anyone like that to be on your side.”
“Everyone on campus knows how arrogant Senior Leng Qing is.”
Leaving behind that final warning, Hodor left with her summoned creature.
Sphinx slowly pushed himself up from the floor.
He looked in the direction Leng Qing had gone, a trace of venom in his eyes.
But that venom was quickly swallowed by a sense of calm.
Victoria looked over Collins’s experimental notes.
Collins had already reached the fourth-level magical circuit in his magic array research.
With Collins’s talent, there was no need for him to stay at the fourth level—he could already be pushing toward building fifth-level circuits.
But good family education and the experience of countless predecessors had taught Collins: what he needed now was to consolidate his foundation, not to charge upward recklessly on youthful ambition.
“You… you really can analyze fourth-level magical circuits?”
Victoria lifted her small head from Collins’s data.
She was a half-expert herself and could tell that Collins’s experimental data and procedures were incredibly thorough.
So advanced, in fact, that even a mage like her had to look up to it.
Collins also raised his head from the material Victoria had brought him.
“Ah, I can not only analyze—I can build, optimize, and stack circuits too.”
Analysis was the most basic skill in magical circuitry.
Building, optimizing, and stacking came later—and those were the true depths of the discipline.
Victoria opened her mouth but then swallowed her thoughts.
She had graduated from the Magic University in just two years, having earned enough credits through sheer brilliance.
She knew very well how expensive it was to invite a mage who could analyze third-level magical circuits to assist in an experiment.
And yet, the boy in front of her—who could analyze fourth-level circuits—had become her assistant for what was basically a bargain price.
And to top it off, he was a mid-tier mage.
