As expected of the strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna exuded a powerful presence.
However, he wasn’t invincible.
‘Let’s start with a light greeting.’
[Demonic Divine Art Demonic Overlord’s Stride]
Demonic energy pressed down on Sukuna, but aside from a slight frown and a hint of discomfort, he seemed unaffected.
“A curious technique. But weak.”
I feigned a look of disappointment, as if my strongest attack had failed.
I needed him to underestimate me. I had deliberately suppressed the power of Demonic Overlord’s Stride.
If I appeared too weak, he wouldn’t bother fighting. I needed to display just enough strength to pique his interest.
Sukuna sighed, seemingly disappointed.
“If that’s all you’ve got, you die here.”
He unleashed the same fiery arrow attack he had used against Jogo.
“Die.”
I let it hit me.
I needed to create an illusion of vulnerability. That would lead to his downfall.
Whoosh
Flames engulfed my body.
Intense pain surged through me, but I endured.
Just as the flames threatened to consume me entirely, I bit my hand.
Crackle!
[Titan Transformation]
Lightning struck from the sky.
As Sukuna stared at the lightning in surprise, I transformed.
“What?! You have some interesting tricks!”
Sukuna laughed, filled with excitement.
“Very well. I’ll show you my Domain.”
Sukuna’s mouth opened.
“Domain Expansion Malevolent Shrine”
Sukuna’s Domain enveloped me, and I didn’t resist.
Moments later, I was within his Domain.
The sight would have made me vomit if I were still an ordinary human.
Cow skulls littered the temple grounds, and a massive mouth loomed over me, threatening to devour me whole.
I paid it no mind.
It was meaningless.
What mattered was the barrage of Dismantle attacks raining down on me.
I reinforced my nape, the Titan’s weak point, with hardened armor, protecting it from the onslaught.
‘Glad I prepared for this.’
When I instructed Grisha to steal the Founding Titan, I also asked him to bring the Armored Titan’s hardening serum.
At the time, I had wanted it to increase my own strength, but it turned out to be a lifesaver.
Without it, I wouldn’t have known how to harden my skin, and my nape would have been exposed to Sukuna’s Dismantle.
“You’re desperately protecting your nape. Is that your weak point?”
While Sukuna could deduce my weakness, it didn’t matter.
I had lured him into a false sense of security.
I had suppressed my power, taken his attack without resistance, all to make him underestimate me.
In his eyes, I was merely a toy, slow and predictable.
But he didn’t know the true speed of my swordsmanship.
I drew my sword from my inventory.
‘It’s a shame.’
While the sword was of excellent quality, it wasn’t on par with my own level.
However, it didn’t matter in this moment.
Decapitation depended on skill, not the quality of the blade. And I had the skill to decapitate Sukuna.
So what was there to fear? I just had to cut down the smirking bastard before me.
“Hmm, you’re holding up well, but that’s all. You can’t endure this forever unless you have infinite stamina.”
Sukuna yawned, bored.
“How dull.”
This was my chance.
I gripped the sword in my Titan hand and drew it.
[Demonic Divine Art Heavenly Punishment]
My Titan body moved faster than the eye could follow.
Sukuna, caught off guard, tried to react, but it was too late.
My blade had already severed his head.
I showed no emotion as Sukuna’s head flew through the air.
Thud
His head rolled across the ground.
“Impossible!”
Despite being decapitated, Sukuna’s tenacious life force lingered.
“I, the King of Curses, the strongest sorcerer, can’t die like this!”
I grabbed his head and lifted it, meeting his gaze.
I chuckled and said, “Weak.”
“What? I’m weak…?”
Sukuna was momentarily speechless, then he erupted in rage.
Cough
“If I had all my power, you wouldn’t even be a match for me!”
He coughed up blood, but I wasn’t impressed.
He might have been right. If he had all his power, I might not have won.
But that wasn’t the current me. While he had been dormant, I had grown stronger, capable of crushing him like an insect.
I took the risk and fought him solely for the sake of growth.
Pain that didn’t kill me only made me stronger.
“How boring. Die already.”
“I’m boring…?”
“Yes, you’re weak.”
He screamed in denial.
“I am the King of Curses! I can’t be weak!!”
His desperate pleas were pathetic.
Arrogant in his strength, now unable to accept defeat.
It was unsightly.
I had no desire to converse with him any longer.
But there was one thing I needed to say.
“Listen closely. If you are the King of Curses…”
I declared,
“I am the Demonic God.”
With those words, I sliced Sukuna’s head in half.
It was an inglorious end.
The once-feared King of Curses, decapitated by a Demonic God.
Silence descended.
Maki Zenin and the others, who had arrived late, witnessed the scene and understood.
The strongest man in this world was the one who called himself the Demonic God.
