Chapter 33: The Predator Among Predators

[She’s more of a killer than them.]

After a while, the newcomers finally reacted.

[She said his voice is annoying, so she’ll kill him?]

[That’s some next-level psycho logic.]

[Her killing skills are even beyond your average psycho killer.]

[No joke, she’s actually terrifying.]

If someone else had said that, people would’ve laughed it off.

But they had just watched Seyul effortlessly take down not one but two serial killers.

Hearing those words from someone actually capable of it sent chills down their spines.

[Well, you’ve seen it now.]

[She’s always been kind of psychotic.]

[It hasn’t even been ten minutes since the stream started, and everyone already understands what kind of person she is.]

[But hey, you all chose to watch this stream.]

The longtime viewers replied indifferently.

‘Where do I find this bastard?’

Branded a psycho killer, Seyul acted the part and scanned the area for her target.

‘He’s watching me somehow, which means he must be using surveillance cameras. And in a place like this… there’s only one place all the cameras would be connected to.’

The security office.

That was the only possibility.

In an amusement park, security would monitor for emergencies.

Seyul searched for a map nearby.

Normally, these maps were meant to help players escape, but today, it served the opposite purpose.

Instead of leading her out, it helped her find a path deeper inside to the security office.

<What are you doing?>

As soon as Seyul started moving toward the security office, the host flinched.

He couldn’t hear her voice, so he didn’t catch her saying she’d kill him.

But the moment she checked the map and headed toward the security office, it wasn’t hard to guess her intentions.

<Hey, where the hell do you think you’re going?!>

The host snapped, immediately losing his temper.

Ironically, his reaction confirmed that Seyul was right.

<Stop! Stop right there!>

“No.”

Why would she stop?

She was already annoyed, and this guy was trash who trapped people in this hellhole just to kill them.

There was no reason to stop.

In fact, feeling even more excited, Seyul sped up.

For the first time since this whole thing began, the host was completely flustered.

If it had been a normal civilian, he would’ve laughed it off.

But he had just witnessed, clear as day, that the girl they brought in this time was no ordinary monster.

<Shit, f*ck!>

Panicking, the host kept swearing.

To the viewers, it was an amusing sight.

[Wow, this dude’s actually panicking.]

[He’s completely lost his cool. Never seen this before.]

[Usually, he’s just an asshole, casually messing with the players.]

[Serves him right.]

[Look at him freaking out, lol.]

The host wasn’t a well-liked figure to begin with.

Seeing him lose his composure was a satisfying sight for many.

<What the f*ck are you all doing?! That b*tch is heading straight here! Stop her now!>

He was going to die at this rate.

Overwhelmed by fear, the host broadcasted a call for the killers to gather.

The closest ones arrived first.

Three of them.

And all three looked downright grotesque.

One was a hulking man wearing a hockey mask.

He held a chainsaw in his hand, and the parts of his skin that weren’t covered were littered with scars.

Another was a lanky man wearing a metal glove with blades attached.

His pale skin and sharp features gave him an eerie presence.

The last one was a figure shrouded in a black robe.

His face was covered by a black hood, and he gripped a metal spike in his hand.

<Behold! Our show’s finest killers!>

Feeling emboldened by the arrival of his allies, the host regained his confidence.

<Let me introduce them. The big guy in the mask is Mason.>

<A man driven mad by domestic abuse, who went on a killing spree.>

<He’s taken out at least fifty people!>

With a professional touch, he began enthusiastically introducing the killers.

<The pale one over there? That’s Bladehand.>

<A fanatic obsessed with black magic, claiming to offer his victims as sacrifices to demons.>

<He’s killed at least forty people!>

<And last but not least, the one in the hood is the deadliest of them all.>

<A full-blown racist who murdered any person of color he saw.>

<He’s killed at least a hundred people!>

The host made sure to emphasize the numbers.

<Are you scared? Just looking at them makes you tremble because of the murderous aura emanating from their bodies, right?!>

The host was desperately trying to intimidate Seyul.

But—

“Hahaha!”

Seyul burst into laughter instead.

“Heh… Puhaha!”

A peal of uncontrollable laughter erupted from Seyul.

Holding her stomach as if it were the funniest thing in the world, she laughed freely, leaving everyone confused.

[Why is she laughing?]

[Is it because they’re weak?]

[Doesn’t seem like that’s the reason, though.]

Even the viewers who knew about Seyul tilted their heads in confusion.

“???”

“?!”

The killers also looked at each other, bewildered by the unexpected reaction.

<Why are you laughing?>

The host, who was trying to regain his composure, suddenly had a bad feeling.

“It’s just… The way you keep bringing up numbers like ’20’ and ‘100’ is so shallow that I couldn’t help but laugh.”

Seyul finally calmed her laughter, replacing it with a smirk.

“You act so proud over something so petty.”

“You!”

The killers bristled at the mocking remark.

They directed their murderous intent toward Seyul, but she brushed it off without even flinching.

‘This is nothing.’

To Seyul, their killing intent was like a weak breeze.

After all, these so-called ‘killers’ were just people who had secretly murdered in the safety of modern society.

Compared to those who had survived real battlefields, their presence was laughable.

“If killing just that many people is enough to stain your soul with ‘murderous intent,’ then you’re not much at all. Want me to show you what real killing intent looks like?”

Seyul’s gaze locked onto the killers.

That was all.

From the viewers’ perspective, all she did was glare at them.

But the reaction was explosive.

“Urk!”

The killer with the bladed glove, ‘Blade Hand,’ suddenly started vomiting.

Collapsing to the ground, he spewed out everything in his stomach, shaking uncontrollably.

“Hrk… Huurgh!!”

The burly killer, Mason, screamed like a terrified child and stumbled backward.

“Hueeeng… Mommy!”

The hooded killer also crumpled to the ground, hugging his knees and sobbing as he called for his mother.

[Uh… did they just go insane?]

[What’s wrong with them?]

These three were considered high-ranking bosses in the game.

Yet, here they were, quivering like frightened animals.

<You bastards! What the hell are you doing?!>

The host, who had placed his faith in them, was losing his mind.

<Why are you acting like this?! What’s happening?!>

“T-This woman…”

Blade Hand, trembling, pointed at Seyul.

His face was filled with uncontainable horror.

“She’s not just some killer! 10 people? 100 people? That’s nothing compared to what she’s done! I can’t believe it… Just how many has she killed to exude such killing intent?!”

As killers, they were naturally more sensitive to murderous auras than ordinary people.

The moment Seyul released even a fraction of hers, they immediately understood

They were facing someone who had committed an unfathomable amount of slaughter.

“P-Please spare us!”

“We won’t resist anymore!”

“We’ll do anything, just please…!”

The three killers, completely overwhelmed, groveled at Seyul’s feet, begging for their lives.

[Why is a killer begging a player for their life?]

[Isn’t this supposed to be a horror game?]

[Yeah, a horror game… for the killers.]

[She’s not just a ‘survivor.’]

[She’s basically a mass murderer at this point.]

[Honestly, after seeing her play, it makes sense.]

[No, seriously… What even is she?]

[Why are even killers saying she’s worse than them?]

[I told you, she’s a Hunter.]

[If she’s been hunting monsters instead of humans, it makes sense that she’d have that kind of aura!]

The viewers speculated wildly about Seyul’s true nature, unable to believe what they were witnessing.

Meanwhile, Seyul casually stroked her chin, looking down at the groveling killers with utter disdain.

“Then, can you bring me that annoying guy who’s been running the broadcast?”

“Yes!”

“Of course!”

“We’ll bring him right away!”

Without hesitation, the three killers sold out their own comrade.

A short while later

The host was dragged in by the three of them.

“W-What the hell?! Who the hell are you?!”

Surprisingly, the host looked relatively normal. But the moment he saw Seyul, he trembled in fear.

‘So this is the guy who made those killers grovel with just her presence?

If she’s killed so many that even a guy who’s murdered a hundred people is scared  Just how many people has she killed?!’

Half terrified, half in disbelief, the host stammered out his question.

Seyul, however, simply pulled a sour expression.

‘I didn’t just kill people… I’ve even taken down things that were already dead.’

In the otherworld, Seyul had fought across countless battlefields.

More often than not, she had to take on hordes of enemies alone.

Whenever her enemies realized they couldn’t handle her one-on-one, they’d bring in reinforcements—

Barbarians who invaded the kingdom where Seyul had lived.

Sinister sea-dwelling creatures that emerged endlessly from the depths, hunting humans.

Demonic armies that swarmed through the gates of hell, unleashed by a lunatic.

A necromancer who promised a one-on-one duel—only to summon an undead army instead.

And so on.

She had fought all kinds of monsters.

The common trait among them?

They never surrendered.

Inevitably, she had to kill them all. And as a result, her kill count skyrocketed.

“Maybe around… a million?”

Even she wasn’t sure, so that was the best answer she could give.

[1 million?!]

[Come on, that’s way too exaggerated.]

[Even if you led an army and waged a war, you wouldn’t be able to kill that many.]

The viewers dismissed it as blatant exaggeration.

“A-Are you serious…?”

But the host he knew.

After dealing with countless murderers in this business, he could instinctively tell

She wasn’t lying.

“Somebody… somebody help me!”

There was a grim reaper standing right in front of him one who had slaughtered a million souls.

Overcome with terror, the host cried out for help.

But it was pointless.

“Uwaaagh!”

“W-What is this killing intent…?”

“A m-monster…!”

Hearing the commotion, more killers gathered.

But the moment Seyul unleashed her aura

They reacted just like the first three.

Not a single one of them dared to challenge her.

Faced with Seyul who was far, far beyond them in every way

They cowered and surrendered without resistance.

In the end

Aside from the two killers Seyul had already slain

Every single murderer had bowed their heads before her.
