Just as Su Han was making her way into the deepest reaches of the palace, a destructive annihilation ray streaked towards her. Even from a distance, she had felt waves of scorching heat, prompting Su Han to swiftly dodge, evading the annihilation ray. The spot she had occupied moments before was now engulfed in raging flames.
Having narrowly escaped death, Su Han patted her racing heart. “What in the world was that?”
Innumerable tentacles shot out, instantly embedding themselves in the wall beside Su Han. Then, a colossal eyeball materialized before her very eyes.
A bleeding eyeball, over a meter in diameter, glared back at her. Its enormous single eye emanated a terrifying glow, while behind it, countless tentacles writhed in a wave-like dance, resembling a monstrous entity from Lovecraftian myth.
“An Evil Eye Tyrant!” Su Han gasped in alarm. “Damn it, how could something like this appear here?”
Before Su Han could finish speaking, the colossal eye unleashed another devastating annihilation ray.
‘Wasn’t the Evil Eye Tyrant the final boss of a hidden dungeon during the beta test?’ she thought.
‘How could it be here? What the f*ck?!’
Su Han had encountered the Evil Eye Tyrant during the beta test while on a chance quest. Back then, a single annihilation ray from it had been enough to end her game.
The Evil Eye Tyrant was an incredibly formidable demonic creature. It possessed immense spiritual power, rendering it immune to all soul attacks.
Its tentacles, capable of inflicting incredibly high physical damage, were equally impervious to all magical assaults. These terrifying appendages not only boasted such formidable defenses but could also drain an opponent’s mana and battle aura.
Anyone touched by them would be instantly desiccated. Furthermore, its colossal eye could unleash annihilation rays of devastating power. All these attributes combined presented Su Han with a monumental headache.
The Evil Eye Tyrant’s true terror, however, lay in its mastery of mind magic. Unlike illusions, which stemmed from the brain, mind magic originated from the very depths of one’s consciousness.
An Evil Eye Tyrant of Rank 8 could effortlessly seize control of anyone’s mind below Rank 7. Such mental manipulation was exceedingly difficult to resist; without a high-ranking priest providing a mental protection barrier, facing one was nothing short of a catastrophe.
Su Han had no time to deliberate. The Evil Eye Tyrant’s tentacles lunged at her with lightning-fast speed. With no other choice, she activated [Kaleidoscope Aperture].
This slowed the annihilation ray, allowing her to evade it. Then, a beam of light, more dazzling than the sun itself, swept across hundreds of meters in the blink of an eye. In that instant, more than half of the palace was directly pierced through.
A soft hiss echoed. Countless magical building materials were instantly vaporized, and even the ground beneath her feet was carved with a trench dozens of meters long and unfathomably deep.
What was most lethal was that while the Evil Eye Tyrant unleashed its annihilation ray, its hundreds of tentacles were far from idle. They relentlessly assaulted Su Han from every conceivable, impossible angle.
The terrifying power and skill they displayed were almost comparable to an Emperor-tier knight, one who had already stepped halfway into the legendary realm.
Su Han drew her battle sword, which hummed softly. Her legendary sword technique, the Undying Sword Art, was unleashed. Sword shadows flickered. The battle sword, held in Su Han’s hand one moment, was out of its sheath the next, continuously slashing at the tentacles with invisible speed.
Hundreds of tentacles swished in unison. Su Han weaved through the gaps between them, battle sword in hand, intending to pierce the Evil Eye Tyrant’s eye. However, how could an Evil Eye Tyrant, possessing such profound intelligence, allow her to succeed?
Arcane and mysterious patterns materialized on its bleeding eyeball. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning shot forth, piercing through Su Han’s shoulder.
A sharp gasp escaped Su Han’s lips. “It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!”
She activated a technique to accelerate blood evaporation, rapidly healing her wound. Then, Su Han charged forward once more. Employing the Immortal Slaying Art, she remotely wielded her sword, continuously hacking at the hundreds of tentacles.
Next, her Death Sword Intent surged forth, solidifying her killing aura, attempting to overwhelm her opponent with sheer bloodlust.
However, just as Su Han was consolidating her killing intent, the Evil Eye Tyrant unleashed its Mind Enticement. For a brief moment, Su Han’s mind was lost, and another annihilation ray erupted.
Relying on [Time Stasis], Su Han then activated her forbidden technique, transforming her back into a dragon’s form, sprouting wings to swiftly evade the lethal strike. The vast expanse of ground where she had just stood instantly melted into scorching lava, then vaporized completely, leaving no trace. In its place was a massive, circular crater.
Su Han activated [Blood Feast], attempting to manipulate the Evil Eye Tyrant’s blood into a blood explosion. However, she found it utterly useless. Not only did it fail, but it also provoked a counterattack from the Evil Eye Tyrant.
Her battle sword melted into molten iron under the annihilation ray. Left with no other option, Su Han reluctantly deployed her trump card for the first time: [Emperor Armor]!
A dark golden battle armor enveloped Su Han’s entire body, even encasing her head. Dark golden shoulder pads extended backward, adorned with inch-long, dark golden barbs. A pure black cape billowed behind her.
Two dark golden horns sprouted from her helmet. Her breastplate was covered in rugged, dark golden scales that shimmered brilliantly. At the center of the breastplate, a dark golden gem was embedded—the core of a Destruction Demonic Dragon, serving as the [Emperor Armor]’s source of power.
The Emperor Armor was undeniably potent. There was no way to bypass its defenses other than with overwhelming combat power or by waiting for its duration to expire.
Its sole vulnerability lay in the crystal core embedded in the center of the breastplate. Should that core be extracted, Su Han would instantly perish.
Thus, while formidable, the Emperor Armor possessed a fatal flaw. It had its pros and cons. Yet, for Su Han, the advantages far outweighed the drawbacks.
Most striking of all were the dragon claws. Each of her five fingers extended into a dark golden talon. They resembled Wolverine’s claws, but were true draconic talons, growing directly from her fingertips on both hands.
The sight of those razor-sharp talons sent shivers down one’s spine. They seemed capable of disemboweling a demon of the abyss in a single, swift strike.
“Damn it, even in my forbidden transformation state, I probably couldn’t pierce your tentacles’ defenses,” Su Han cursed under her breath. “But I refuse to believe that the Emperor Armor, in its strongest form, can’t break through yours!” She then charged at the Evil Eye Tyrant.
