After using a teleportation spell to bring Eleia into her Tokyo apartment, Elia let out a sigh of relief.
“Looks like my cleaning magic really works. It’s been so long and still spotless.”
“This is where you live?”
“Yeah, a regular two-bedroom apartment. One room was originally for magic experiments, but I stopped using it.”
“So you bought this place?”
“More or less. I’m a big shot on Earth, so I have houses in Japan, China, and the US.”
“If it were me, I’d just kill someone and move in.”
“Don’t be so violent. I gave you my memories of Earth before we came, right? You should understand this planet.”
“I was just saying if. And based on your memories, this planet really does have a lot of good food and fun stuff. I like it. But as a sign of goodwill, take me out to eat.”
“Got it! But when we’re out, is it okay if I just call you by your name? Adding ‘sama’ or ‘your grace’ sounds weird.”
“Sure.”
“Thanks! First, I’ll take you to get a burger meal! But how about I magic you up a dress first?”
“Sure, I want a purple one.”
Later, the two hit the streets. Eleia looked around curiously.
“Humans on this planet really aren’t dangerous. So, who exactly do you want to fight?”
“To be precise, someone about as strong as me. Even if I do fight, it wouldn’t traumatize me.”
“What if I drag them into a mental realm and throw them in a boiling oil pot? I can pull any creature into a mental space where pain is just as real. I can even amplify it.”
“Sounds good! Just imagining it makes me feel better.”
After walking for a bit, they finally reached a burger place. Elia ran over and ordered two big meals, handing one to Eleia.
“Smells so good. What’s in this?”
“It’s a spicy chicken burger, chocolate bubble tea, chicken nuggets, and fries.”
“Sounds great. Let’s find a bench to eat. I saw one over there.”
“Okay!”
After finding a bench, Eleia started eating immediately and was surprised at how delicious it was.
“Is this planet a gourmet paradise? Even a random shop tastes this good!?”
“Most shops are decent, but it depends on your taste. What do you usually eat, Eleia?”
“Not much. I’ll try things out of curiosity, but they usually disappoint me.”
“But I’m curious—why did you fall into darkness? For me, I was bullied as a kid, then got a power that made me really strong. That’s how I became a witch.”
“For me, it’s simple. Partly just my personality, and partly classified. Plus, I’m a being made from the negative will of many worlds and some messy evil gods’ grudges. So yeah, I have a strong thirst for violence and torture. And don’t forget—my power is unbeatable!”
“If you’re that powerful, why not rule humanity?”
“Not interested. I’d rather treat humans as toys. But if this planet keeps feeding me good food, I might just spare it. Just introduce me to more fun and tasty stuff. And if anyone bullies you, I’ll destroy them. With me around, no one can hurt you.”
“Good to know. I was planning to beat that guy up soon anyway. Until then, how about you stay at my place?”
“Sure, I’ll stick around for the food.”
Meanwhile, Rin was searching online how to cook softshell turtle, only to find everyone else’s recipes better than hers. She walked into the living room.
“Sis, want some turtle soup?”
“As long as it’s tasty. Since Mio and the others are here, how about we go buy two more turtles?”
“Good idea. But I’m thinking of buying cooked ones from the shop to see how good they are. Also, we can get new phones and bubble tea for Galina and the others.”
“Alright, and get one more chocolate bubble tea for me.”
“Me too! I love that flavor!”
“Let’s go!”
“Give me two minutes to steam this turtle. It should be done by the time we’re back. Then I’ll braise the other one.”
“Okay!”
After taking care of things, Rin and Lin went out.
While walking through the streets, Rin suddenly remembered two dishes.
“Hey sis, I just remembered Mio’s memory had cola chicken wings. Should we buy like thirty wings and a bunch of cola to make it?”
“But wings need to be marinated for at least 20 minutes. Unless you have a trick to speed it up, it won’t work.”
“That’s easy for me. I like waiting, but since we’ve got a lot of people today, I’ll speed things up.”
“Can you tell the quality of wings?”
“Of course. I can use a bit of magic in my eyes to auto-detect the best ingredients.”
“You can do that with items too?”
“Yep! I can even see an item’s durability, lifespan, and when to sharpen knives. It’s just a matter of whether I want to use it.”
“You don’t use it often?”
“Sometimes I like to rely on luck. By the way, sis, can I transfer some of your dark energy to myself? That way I can generate it too.”
“What for? Even for pranks, I don’t see the point.”
“Well, we’re sisters, right? If you have it, I should too.”
“That doesn’t sound like you.”
“Only a few people know my true identity. And even if they do, it doesn’t matter. I’m just like this.”
“Just like I used to be—willful.”
“Being willful is fine, just don’t go overboard. Anyway, we were discussing dishes. Was it kung pao chicken and fish-flavored pork?”
“That’s two dishes.”
“Whatever. Cola wings, kung pao chicken, fish-flavored pork—I’m adding them all to today’s lunch menu.”
“Then for dinner, you’ll help me with curry rice. Watch how I make it. You should learn.”
“Can I add alcohol?”
“Absolutely not! And I don’t want our queen ladies touching booze or cigarettes either.”
“Understood!”
Less than seven minutes later, they bought a big softshell turtle from a small restaurant and had it delivered home. But outside the shop, their eyes widened.
“Who’s that?!”
“???????”
Across the street stood Elia and Eleia. Rin sensed something—her aura was identical.
“Sis, were you cloned?”
“Who knows? Let’s go check.”
“Okay!”
As they crossed the street, Elia and Eleia were shocked.
“Eleia, this person looks just like you.”
“Not just looks—it’s exactly the same.”
Rin smiled.
“You’re Eleia? The one who blows up planets on a whim?”
“Yeah… Wait a second—your voice is just like mine?”
“I was about to ask the same. Were you cloned by Xiao An and the others?”
“Don’t know them. What’s your name?”
“Kamigoe Rin Viscott. And this is my sister, Rinne.”
“Nice name. I’m Eleia, the most terrifying abyss witch! Brought here by this one from a past timeline.”
“So what time are you from? What were you doing yesterday?”
“I blew up a planet called Ya-2. The lifeforms there were like snot slugs. Made me want to puke.”
“Agreed. That’s why I blew it up.”
“What do you mean?”
“Rin is just my current name…”
“Are you… the future me?”
“Yep! And you—who are you?”
“Elia! Forever youthful-looking and the cutest witch alive!”
“Why’d you bring me here?”
“What if I don’t say?”
“Then I might beat you up. And my current power is way beyond what I had back then.”
(I remember I wasn’t that evil back then… just a foodie.)
“It’s just a one-on-one fight. Eleia agreed too.”
“Yeah, but the people on this planet seem peaceful. Did you fall for the food too?”
“Pretty much. But what’ll you do after the fight?”
“Same old stuff… but Elia, got any ideas?”
“How about going into business with me?”
“What kind of business?”
“Find a planet with a good environment, use my magic to copy alien cities onto it, and sell them to rich aliens. The service includes making atmosphere, adjusting climate, and replicating native soil and plants.”
“This world has universal currency?”
“Yep. For example, Earth could sell for 3.9 billion Dragon Coins. That’s the universal currency of this world’s galaxy.”
“So we can use it to buy lots of food?”
“Yes, this currency works on many alien planets.”
“How long would it last?”
“About 16 years. A planet’s minimum value is around 800 million. And since we both look like cute girls, we can push it a bit.”
“Boring.”
Rin looked completely uninterested.
“Elia explained it so well—why don’t you care?”
“Try living with a god and you’ll get it. Rich people’s lives are super boring.”
“So what do you do now?”
“Spend time with the people I love. Sleeping, playing together—those are the best. But do you want my memories?”
“Of course! That way I can know what happened to me in the future.”
“Rinne.”
“Got it!”
Rinne snapped her fingers, and the memories and emotions of Eleia and Rin were instantly synchronized.
“…I see. Seems like a lot has changed. But there are still things I don’t agree with you about.”
“Like what?”
“Why do you like Sirin? And call her ‘Your Majesty’? You’re clearly stronger than her.”
“I don’t know the reason either, but I just like her.”
“Well, it’s good for me anyway. After all, I’m your past self. Now that I have your memories, I can avoid repeating the same tragedies.”
“You still want to go back to the old ways?”
“Changing a little is fine, but I won’t go as far as you. At least, I’d rather rule the world than destroy it.”
But Eleia seemed quite pleased.
“Eleia, do you think I should pull your sister from another timeline?”
Rin & Eleia: Absolutely not!!!
“Okay, okay.”
“Um, sister Elia, can you explain your pulling-people trick?”
“It’s simply pulling someone from another timeline. The person pulled over basically doesn’t exist in spacetime, so there won’t be any parallel universe problems.”
“So… you could pull infinite sisters?”
“In theory, yes. But it’s really hard to do. It consumes a lot of energy and has a cooldown—668 Earth years. So when I pick someone, they have to be terrifying, evil, and powerful.”
“Yeah, in my time I was basically invincible. Who knew future me would run into so many powerful enemies.”
“You got defeated?”
“Yes, which is why my personality softened. But don’t worry—I can still beat people up just fine. My power’s more than enough.”
“That’s good. Otherwise, such a huge energy cost would’ve gone to waste.”
“Sister Elia, have you never thought about solving problems with money? Aren’t you afraid of attracting hatred?”
“That person said even if I got help, it’d be useless. She prefers direct fights. Eleia hits hard—it’s guaranteed to leave psychological scars.”
“Add in me pulling her into the mental space and beating her senseless. I can boil or deep-fry her—whatever works!”
“Can you not change topics so fast? Or maybe just show her an overwhelming power gap and make her pay to settle things?”
But Elia sighed.
“If only it were that simple. The problem is… that person blinded my right eye. None of my healing magic works.”
“So that’s why you thought of my sister?”
“Exactly! I didn’t want to blind her, but leaving a mental scar is good enough.”
“How about we make a deal? I can heal you right now, but you’re not allowed to go after her. Pranks are fine though.”
“Seriously?”
“Why would I lie? I can heal you on the spot.”
“But I don’t want Eleia to have come all this way for nothing. I can’t just send her back.”
“I’m fine. Just treat me to food, drinks, and fun. I just got future-me’s memories, but I still want to hit up a game store with you.”
“Okay, your call. But what about your sister?”
“Fight or not—up to you. Future me… you don’t mind, right?”
Rin could see Eleia was serious and had no choice but to agree.
“As long as you don’t drag me in, do whatever.”
But Elia hesitated. Which was more important: revenge or healing her eye? Her species had no lifespan and could live forever. But both her eye and revenge were deeply important. She couldn’t decide.
“Give me some time to think.”
“Sure. But what grudge is between you two? She couldn’t have blinded your eye for no reason.”
“To be precise, it was about ruling a planet. I spent 40 years planning it. She stopped me—and messed up my eye along the way.”
“You’re the villain?”
“From a certain point of view, yeah.”
“?”
“You sound kinda dumb. The biggest advantage of ruling the world is unity. Unity reduces disputes. If every place is separate, sooner or later different laws and languages will cause problems. So there should be one unified language too.”
“Like Qin Shi Huang on this planet?”
“Pretty much. Personally, I wanted to rule the world because it was my ambition. But that dream’s pointless now.”
“So you gave up the idea?”
“Yes. Later, I realized ruling is too much hassle. Better to be free and have fun. Occasionally run a business. Maybe think up ways to get revenge.”
“I see…”
(So boring… but Elia has divine energy. And her power’s similar to Bella’s. Why go after sister though? I don’t want to use mind reading, but I’m too curious…)
“Hey, sister Elia! Are you connected to a god? I can sense divine energy.”
“That’s simple. I once extracted power from a low-grade divine weapon. Then I transferred that divine energy into myself. So now divine power grows with me.”
“Where’d you find that weapon?”
“In a time rift. I was trying to do a bomb test and stumbled upon it.”
“I see.”
“Rinne, let’s go. Back to what we were doing.”
“Okay!”
“Wait! Um, where are you two going?”
“Buy food, get a phone, then go home.”
“Home…”
Because her emotions and memories were fully synced with Rin’s, Eleia now felt very alone—it was painful.
“Sorry, I forgot about your situation.”
“It’s okay. I’ll stay with Elia for now. She dragged me here, so she’s responsible for my living costs.”
“That’s no problem. I don’t know your past, but I do know you’re powerful. Ruling the world would probably be easy for you.”
“Of course. I’m the strongest Abyss Witch!”
“Heh.”
“Was sister always this much of a chuunibyou?”
“Yup. Weren’t you?”
“I have a dark past, but I don’t want to talk about it. Just thinking about those things I said back then makes me cringe.”
“Then just erase your memory.”
“Some things can’t be solved by memory deletion. And if someone else can handle it, why should I?”
“True. Let’s go then! See you next time, other me!”
“Sure!”
“And don’t forget about my eye.”
Rinne snapped her fingers, and Elia’s eye was fully healed.
“Thanks.”
“No problem. See you next time!”
After they left, Eleia rubbed her belly.
“Elia, want to try my homemade curry?”
“Sure! I’d love to see your cooking. If it’s good, can I learn it?”
“Of course.”
After a bit of walking, Elia smiled.
“Can I just call you Reia?”
“Then I’ll call you Lia, how’s that?”
“Deal. But Reia, can you really make curry?”
“Of course. Ordinary ingredients are enough. I got all these memories from my future self. That version of me was learning to cook all kinds of dishes—for Her Majesty.”
“Her Majesty?”
“Her name’s Sirin. A really cute girl. And that me also had other little sisters.”
“Sounds like she lived a better life than you.”
“Like heaven and earth.”
“Well, your future self is definitely stronger—and not someone to mess with. Now that you’ve synced her emotions and memories, how do you feel?”
“I’ve been influenced by her gentleness. Makes it harder for me to go all out. But if needed, I won’t hesitate to kill.”
“Can you ask your sister to delete the memory again? I feel like she could.”
“No need. What if I cause trouble after forgetting?”
“Fair enough.”
“But don’t worry. I’m me. She’s her. Some things don’t connect.”
“Good.”
“But let me warn you—future me isn’t some saint. Best not to provoke her.”
“But you’re technically the same person. Your personalities shouldn’t be that different. Besides, I’m not afraid of you.”
“Are you strong or something?”
“Maybe not as strong as you. But I have insurance. If you kill me, time in this world will rewind to the moment I summoned you. I’ll keep my memories too.”
“Only works on me?”
“My power’s limited. And the cooldown is 800 years, so I’m very cautious.”
“But you’re telling me all this so openly? Aren’t you afraid I’ll do something to you?”
“I already said I’m not afraid. And I don’t dislike evil people. Plus, your personality seems like someone I could get along with.”
“True. Unlike that me, I don’t know a ton of people. Honestly, I only know you.”
“Let’s stop talking. Time to shop. Will future you play PS5?”
“Of course! And based on the memories, PS5 supports PS4 games. I can play with you.”
“Great! Let’s go buy it together—just for fun.”
“Thanks!”
