‘Something’s following us? Ugh! Don’t scare me!’
I involuntarily clutched Maple’s sleeve even tighter. The sky was already dark, and the trees in the forest appeared grotesquely distorted.
“Is it a treant? Or some other terrifying creature? They say witches often dwell in forests like this…”
“As for witches, isn’t there one living in your own palace? What’s there to be afraid of?” Maple scoffed. “I suspect it’s those who don’t want to see me defeat the First Prince, trying to make a move on me while we’re in the forest.”
“Are you paranoid? With me here, who would dare?”
Just then, a silvery shadow emerged from behind a tree!
My white hair bristled with fright.
“Whoa, a ghost?!”
Huh? It wasn’t?
I focused my gaze, realizing the silvery shadow was actually a white horse, its entire body shimmering with silver light. A spiraled horn protruded elegantly from its forehead.
It stood still in the distance, fixated on us.
I gasped, “It’s a unicorn!”
“Ah, yes,” Maple replied calmly. “We’ve been searching for it, and it turns out it’s been following us all along.”
‘Is this what they call ‘being attracted to pure maidens’?’ I thought.
I never imagined that we, two femboys, would actually lure a unicorn here!
“A unicorn!” Suddenly, people appeared.
Several figures emerged from seemingly nowhere, surrounding the majestic creature.
“First one to catch it gets it!” they shouted, rushing forward with lassos and other hunting tools.
Panicked, I tugged at Maple’s sleeve. “If you don’t do something, someone else will snatch the unicorn!”
No sooner had I spoken than—
The unicorn kicked one of the armored knights, sending him flying over a hundred meters, where he crashed through several large trees!
Immediately after, it used its horn to toss another person into the air, who disappeared deep into the forest.
I stared, utterly dumbfounded. My worries had clearly been unnecessary. What kind of monstrous unicorn was this?
After dispatching the attackers in the blink of an eye, the unicorn turned its equine face towards us, excitedly licking its lips.
Ugh! A shiver ran down my spine!
Seeing the dire situation, Maple tugged the reins and declared, “Retreat!” We wheeled our horses around and galloped away. The unicorn, its tongue lolling out like a pervert, pursued us relentlessly.
“Whoa! The unicorn in my imagination wasn’t like this!”
“Then what did you imagine? Aren’t all unicorns like this? When they see a beautiful girl, they—”
“Whoa! So unicorns interested in femboys actually exist?”
“What nonsense are you spouting? It’s clearly coming for you because you’re cute!”
But I’m not!
This is insane!
“Maple! You absolutely cannot hand me over to that unicorn!” I clutched his sleeve, on the verge of tears.
“Nonsense. You’re my fiancée! Turn around and see if we’ve lost it.”
I glanced back, then quickly snapped my head forward, terrified.
“It seems to be getting closer!”
“Tsk, it’s truly persistent… Watch this.” Maple, gripping the reins, performed a series of maneuvers I couldn’t comprehend, then stomped hard on the stirrup.
Our horse executed a sudden, sharp turn! It was incredible! Luo Bing’ai’er once mentioned how skilled Maple was at riding, and now I truly believed it.
“Well? Did we lose it?” Maple asked, brimming with confidence.
I mustered my courage and glanced back at the unicorn—
“Whoa, it just drifted around the corner!”
