Xiao Yuehua’s embrace was crowded and scorching—a mirror of the inner self she was exposing in this moment.
Jiang Li’s mind felt as though it had been struck by a sledgehammer; a violent, sharp ringing echoed incessantly in his ears. Groggily, he shook himself awake from the shock of the scene before him, his consciousness snapping back into focus.
“Student Yuehua… this is no longer within the scope of the script…”
“Don’t call me Student Yuehua!”
Xiao Yuehua’s arms tightened even further, as if she wanted to knead Jiang Li into her own body. Her expression was a volatile mix of fury and grievance.
“It’s not right, is it? The Professor clearly has feelings for me too, doesn’t he?”
“Student Yuehua, you might need to clear your head…”
“Call me Yuehua!” she bit out resentfully.
For a moment, Jiang Li found himself lacking the courage to meet her gaze; he could only shift his eyes away. “Do you… truly understand what you are doing right now?”
“You’re clearly the one who keeps playing dumb! Why do you always treat me like this?”
“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about…”
“Haa…”
Xiao Yuehua took a long, deep breath to suppress her surging emotions. When she spoke again, her raspy voice carried a seductive, bewitching magic.
“Professor… you feel it too, don’t you?”
“…”
“You are mine. From the day we met at the Freshman Competition, you were destined to belong to me.”
“…”
“The Professor’s smiles should be mine. His hugs should be mine. And his kisses, most of all!”
“Student Yuehua…”
“Hmm?”
Jiang Li’s throat felt parched as he tried to speak, but Xiao Yuehua only increased the force of her embrace. Under her dark, brooding gaze, he was forced to change how he addressed her in an attempt to soothe her spiraling emotions.
“Yue… Yuehua, you’re too young. You might have a skewed understanding of love… Love isn’t like this… perhaps we both need to calm down…”
However, the “soothing therapy” that usually worked was utterly useless now. Xiao Yuehua only offered a cold sneer.
“What right does the Professor have to always act like some expert on emotions?”
“What?”
“The Professor clearly doesn’t understand emotions himself, does he? Then what right do you have to lecture me?”
“Yuehua…” Jiang Li was struck dumb, unable to find a single argument to counter her.
For some reason, seeing Jiang Li fail to deny it made Xiao Yuehua appear even more excited. A greedy smile spread across her face, her breath fanning against his skin.
“Right? I’m right, aren’t I? Then why does the Professor always try to lie to me?”
Her hands reached under his shirt, wandering over his body without the slightest hint of restraint. Jiang Li shivered violently, wanting to push her away, yet for some reason, he found himself completely unable to act.
After enduring this for a while, she seemed satisfied that Jiang Li hadn’t pushed her away. She tilted her head up, her beautiful face flushed with a sickly, feverish crimson born of excitement.
“See? When it comes to feelings, the Professor is just like a little baby, yet he insists on acting like a grown-up… how cute.”
“What… what kind of madness are you talking about…”
At this moment, Jiang Li felt a profound sense of regret. Where had things gone wrong? Or was Xiao Yuehua a hidden time bomb all along? How could a cold, aloof girl turn into… this?
“The Professor taught me how to understand emotions. Now, it’s my turn to teach the Professor. But before that…”
Xiao Yuehua’s hands slid up from his collar, bunching his clothes into a wrinkled mess as she cupped his face tightly with aggressive desire.
“Why has the Professor been flirting with Ning Rou so much lately? Are you trying to leave me? Just because you think more highly of her?”
“Ah, Professor, answer me? Am I so pathetic compared to her?”
“It was just… simple… tutoring…” Jiang Li spoke through the crushing pressure, his heart nearly leaping out of his chest.
“What?” Xiao Yuehua knit her brows, clearly unsatisfied with the answer. “Why the sudden urge to tutor her? That shouldn’t have anything to do with the Professor, right?”
Taking advantage of her momentary distraction, Jiang Li quickly seized her hands, gripping them in his palms and forcing them apart.
“Ning Rou is a genius when it comes to emotions. I wanted to learn from her. Tutoring her was just a mutual exchange of favors…”
“Is that all?”
“That’s all.”
As he said this, Jiang Li pushed his [Poker Face] skill to its absolute limit, striving not to let a single flaw show in his expression.
Xiao Yuehua stared directly into his eyes. After a long silence, she suddenly exerted a burst of strength, breaking free from his grip and violently shoving him against the wall behind them.
Jiang Li felt a wave of incomprehensible, massive force hit him. By the time he regained his senses, he was pinned firmly against the wall. A second later, she forcefully sealed his lips with hers.
Though Jiang Li lacked experience, he could tell that Xiao Yuehua’s kiss was devoid of any technique. In this moment, she was like a famished she-wolf. Driven by overwhelming desire, she lunged at her prey; her assault on his lips brought a stinging pain, much like a wolf’s teeth tearing into flesh.
Jiang Li stood there, stunned and motionless. He passively endured everything she was pouring out. To be honest, Jiang Li was no saint; he wasn’t blind to the affection behind a girl’s proactive kiss. However, under the constant pressure Xiao Yuehua had applied today, his reason ultimately triumphed over his desire. He knew he had to step on the brakes for her out-of-control emotions.
But the strange thing was, no matter how urgent he felt in his heart, he couldn’t summon a shred of strength in his body.
What is happening… have I already fallen…?
Jiang Li’s mind was in a state of chaos. He couldn’t afford to fail here. If he did, what would happen to Jiang Yun?
Sensing the confusion in his eyes and perhaps guessing his thoughts, Xiao Yuehua’s face flared with visible anger, and she became even more ruthless. Her sharp canines pierced his skin; the moment blood pooled, she sipped it away.
Jiang Li could hardly breathe. Forcing himself to focus, he twisted his neck to fight for a sliver of space.
“Wait… wait! Xiao Yuehua, you’re crazy!”
Along with his ragged gasps, the feeling of fresh air rushing back into his lungs felt like a rebirth. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and knit his brows, deepening his tone in an attempt to push back against her overwhelming aura.
“What do you think you’re doing?!”
Contrary to his hopes, Xiao Yuehua didn’t seem intimidated at all. Instead, she revealed a gluttonous, enchanting smile.
“I already notified the Professor—your first kiss belongs to me.”
Jiang Li could only grit his teeth, forcing himself to maintain the confrontation. “This wasn’t in our agreement!”
“What agreement? An agreement for life?” Xiao Yuehua scoffed. But a moment later, her expression suddenly softened. She gently stroked the wounds on his lips. “I’m kidding, Professor. Don’t always keep such a stiff face; Yuehua will get sad… Do you always have this cold expression when you’re with Ning Rou? I doubt it…”
