Gu Wei’s Twisted Game

Chapter 361,501 words13 min read

Ultimately, it was Gu Wei who put forth a plan that, while appearing to solve the problem, actually spawned a much greater one.

“Enough! Stop bickering, all of you!” Gu Wei waved her hand irritably. “Xiang Qing will sleep in my room tonight!”

She paused, casting a swift glance at Shen Lanzhi.

“If you’re so worried, you can join us!”

“All three of us, together in one bed!”

With that declaration, the air itself seemed to fall silent.

Xiang Qing: “???”

Shen Lanzhi: “…”

‘Seriously, my dear woman, is your thought process a little too convoluted?’

‘What kind of baffling move is this for the year?’

‘Even a buy-one-get-one-free deal isn’t offered like this!’

Shen Lanzhi had clearly not anticipated such a move from Gu Wei.

However, a moment later, she reconsidered; having three of them together was certainly better than leaving Xiang Qing to face that madwoman alone.

Thus, she nodded, a gentle smile once more gracing her lips.

“Very well. As long as I can keep an eye on Xiao Qing, I don’t care where I sleep.”

And so, the matter was pleasantly settled.

Gu Wei’s bedroom was extraordinarily spacious.

The large bed, let alone accommodating three people, would have been more than enough for five.

After her shower, Xiang Qing, clad in a silk nightgown Gu Wei had found for her, hesitantly shuffled towards the bed.

The nightgown was a bit too large, hanging loosely on her frame, its low neckline revealing her delicate collarbones.

Shen Lanzhi was already lying on the left side of the bed, dressed in her own purple silk robe.

Gu Wei, meanwhile, in a black lace camisole nightdress, leaned against the right side of the bed, engrossed in work on her phone.

Her long, slender legs were casually crossed, glowing with an almost luminous paleness.

Xiang Qing looked to her left, then to her right, feeling as though she were Tang Monk fallen into the Spider-Woman Cave.

To her left, a gentle, ethereal goddess.

To her right, a vibrant, alluring succubus.

‘How could anyone possibly withstand this?’

“What are you still standing there for? Get on.” Gu Wei commanded, without even raising her head.

Xiang Qing swallowed hard, resignedly clambered onto the bed, and lay down in the very middle.

The moment she lay down, she felt her entire body stiffen.

From her left, the fresh scent of gardenias emanated from Shen Lanzhi.

From her right, an aggressive, cool fragrance wafted from Gu Wei.

The two distinct aromas intertwined, permeating her nostrils and making her feel almost oxygen-deprived.

‘It’s over; I’m absolutely not getting any sleep tonight.’

“Turn off the light,” Gu Wei instructed.

With a soft click, the entire room plunged into darkness.

Only the city’s neon glow from outside cast its light through the enormous floor-to-ceiling window.

Xiang Qing nervously closed her eyes, trying desperately to lull herself into sleep.

One minute…

Five minutes…

Ten minutes…

Not only did she fail to fall asleep, but she felt increasingly wide awake!

This was because she could distinctly feel that the two people beside her weren’t asleep either!

Just as she was lost in a flurry of wild thoughts, a slightly cool hand subtly emerged from beneath the covers, gently resting on her waist.

It was Gu Wei!

Xiang Qing’s body instantly tensed.

She dared not move a muscle, even forgetting to breathe.

The hand was far from well-behaved; its fingertips traced along the edge of her nightgown, lightly caressing the soft flesh of her waist.

It was as if playing a piano, sending shivers rippling through her.

Xiang Qing’s heart hammered like a drum.

‘Help me! What is this madwoman trying to do?’

Yet, this was not the end.

Almost simultaneously, she felt her leg being entangled by another warm, soft leg.

It was Shen Lanzhi!

Xiang Qing’s mind buzzed.

‘No way! Sister Lanzhi! Even you, with your honest looks, have defected?’

‘What happened to being gentle and virtuous? What happened to protecting me?’

‘Is this your idea of protection?’

Xiang Qing was now a sandwiched cookie, held firmly by both sides, utterly unable to move.

To her left, Shen Lanzhi’s leg was wrapped around her, her breathing steady, as if asleep, yet the pressure never eased.

To her right, Gu Wei’s hand, no longer content to linger on her waist, began to explore upwards, inch by inch, along her spine.

Warm breath feathered against the back of her ear.

Gu Wei’s voice, tinged with a husky allure, distinctly broke the silence of the night.

“Little nanny, are you asleep?”

‘Asleep?’

‘Asleep my ass!’

‘With an arm around me on both sides, who could possibly sleep?’

‘Even the King of Hell would have to stay awake for another night!’

‘Pretend to be asleep! Yes, pretend to be asleep!’

‘I’m a professional actress! As long as I don’t open my eyes, I’m asleep! As long as I don’t react, I’m dead asleep!’

Xiang Qing made her breaths light and long, her body utterly still, perfectly mimicking a corpse.

Seeing her lack of reaction, Gu Wei’s lips curved into a mischievous smile.

The hand resting on her waist began to misbehave.

Like tiny insects with legs, her fingers slipped through the gap in the silk nightgown, gently tickling the soft flesh at her side.

Then again.

Xiang Qing’s body instantly tensed!

‘It’s itchy!’

‘Help! So itchy!’

‘She hated being tickled the most!’

Xiang Qing bit down hard on her lip, suppressing all the ticklish sensations in her throat.

‘Hold it in, Xiang Qing! For your sea-view apartment! For the yuan! What’s a little discomfort like this?’

However, Gu Wei’s hand showed no intention of stopping.

Those mischievous fingers escalated their assault, roaming across her waist, precisely targeting every sensitive spot.

Xiang Qing felt like a squid roasting over a fire, her body involuntarily beginning to curl.

A soft ‘Pfft…’

a stifled giggle she couldn’t hold back, escaped from her nose.

‘It’s over.’

‘My Oscar-worthy acting has failed.’

“Heh,” Gu Wei’s amused voice drifted from above. “Still pretending? You’re practically oinking.”

Xiang Qing’s body instantly stiffened, deflating completely.

Slowly, ever so slowly, she opened her eyes, meeting Gu Wei’s surprisingly luminous gaze in the darkness.

“C-CEO Gu… I was wrong…” Xiang Qing’s voice was barely a whisper, like a mosquito’s buzz. “I… I was just too nervous, I got scared…”

“Am I that frightening?” Gu Wei’s fingers ceased their movement, yet remained pressed against her skin. “Enough to scare you like this?”

‘You’re not frightening? You’re scarier than the NPCs in a haunted house!’

Outwardly, however, considering the fifty-two thousand yuan, her survival instinct surged.

“No, no!” She shook her head like a rattle-drum. “How could you possibly be frightening, CEO Gu! You’re a fairy! A Celestial Maiden descended to the mortal realm!”

“I’m not scared, I’m excited! Yes! Shaking with excitement!”

“It’s perfectly normal for a mortal, upon first encountering a fairy’s aura, to have their body become a little uncontrollable!” Xiang Qing began to spout nonsense with a straight face.

“Just look at your hand, so soft and smooth, touching me like an electric current; I… I’m simply overwhelmed, utterly overwhelmed by your favor!”

This barrage of flattery was so convincing, even Xiang Qing herself almost believed it.

Gu Wei was clearly pleased; she let out a soft hum, and the tension in her tone finally dissipated.

Seeing this, Xiang Qing quickly struck while the iron was hot, posing the question that had been bothering her all night.

“Um… CEO Gu, I have a question that I haven’t been able to figure out.”

“Ask.”

“Why did you… let Sister Lanzhi stay here too?” Xiang Qing carefully chose her words. “This is your home, after all. Even if she was just here to look after me, you could have easily refused.”

Gu Wei fell silent for a moment.

Just as Xiang Qing thought she wouldn’t answer, Gu Wei suddenly smiled.

“Because, with her here, it’s more fun.”

‘More fun?’

A question mark slowly materialized above Xiang Qing’s head.

‘What kind of logic is that?’

‘A romantic rival moving into your own home, and that’s fun?’

“You wouldn’t understand.” Gu Wei’s fingertips began to slide restlessly again. “What’s the point of prey delivered directly to your hand? Watching the prey in someone else’s grasp, then, right in front of them, slowly snatching it away—that’s what’s thrilling.”

“Seeing Shen Lanzhi’s expression, wanting to protect you but powerless, only able to glare in frustrated anger—that’s what I find truly satisfying.”

A sudden chill of sweat trickled down Xiang Qing’s back.

‘I understand now!’

‘I completely understand!’

‘This woman is an ultimate, invincible pervert!’

‘She doesn’t enjoy having me; she enjoys the process of snatching me away from Shen Lanzhi!’

‘She just loves seeing Shen Lanzhi frustrated!’

‘So I’m just a part of your game, huh!’
