Chapter 36 Part 3: Christmas

After wiping the blood off Shine and my body, Amy returned to her room with various vitamins from Lavin.

The vitamins filled in the pure white envelope all had a sweet and sour taste.

“What do you want, Shine?”

The list of words that filled up her.

“All of this?”

“Yes.”

“Isn’t it true that Shine and I licked our tongues and took the vitamins Amy had given us in our mouths.”

“Shine. Are you sleeping well at night?”

Shine nodded at Amy’s worried words.

His eyebrows flinched at the sour taste of the vitamins filling his mouth.

“Are you writing a letter here?”

Shine said, pointing to the stationery.

The stationery set Amy had brought had a very pretty design.

The background reminded me of the soft night sky.

The faint falling snow in the background.

Even the small words “Merry Christmas” written at the very bottom.

Only then did I realize that Christmas was just around the corner.

“Yeah. You write down what you want to receive on Christmas.”

“Then Santa will give you a gift?”

“Yes.”

At Amy’s answer, Shine’s pen began to move.

Seeing her writing something down diligently, I also moved my pen.

I thought a magic wand would be the best.

“Should I just write down the gifts I want?”

A letter.

I’ve never written one in my life.

So I had no idea how to write it.

“I have to say hello too.”

It’s hard.

I groaned while holding my pen.

What should I write?

I glanced over and looked at Shine’s letter.

Her hands didn’t stop.

The handwriting that was being written at a steady pace looked quite pretty.

“Here.”

Shine held out her stationery in response to my question.

“Yes.”

“Isn’t it true that you can only receive one gift?”

“Is that so?”

Shine put down her stationery and fell into thought.

Amy smiled as she looked at us.

“Then I’ll have to write a new one.”

Shine reached out and pulled out a new stationery.

She looked over the first letter she had written and began to select the gifts she really wanted to receive.

Watching Shine like that, I carefully wrote down the words.

The first thing I wrote was a greeting to Santa.

But I also didn’t forget to appeal to how good I had been.

I exaggerated everything I had done, worried that I might not receive a gift.

The last thing I wrote was the gift I wanted to receive.

Lucy’s magic wand.

It was a very satisfactory letter.

I nodded and folded the letter neatly.

“Amy, I’m done.”

“Would you like to show me?”

I hid the letter behind my back.

This is a letter to Santa.

Since it contained a lot of embarrassing content, I couldn’t show it to Amy.

The tips of my ears burned.

“Ah… I can’t.”

“Why?”

“This is a letter to Santa.”

I carefully touched the letter hidden behind my back.

I could hear a rustling sound.

“I see.”

Amy nodded.

I checked Amy’s expression just in case.

I was worried that she would be upset if I didn’t show her the letter.

But Amy was no different than usual.

There was just a small smile on her lips.

“Then shall we put it in an envelope and put a sticker on it?”

Amy said, handing over a rather fancy-looking envelope and a shiny sticker.

The gold star sticker looked quite pretty.

“Wow…”

I took out the letter I had hidden behind my back and carefully put it in the envelope.

After that, I attached the star sticker Amy had given me and sealed the envelope.

“I’m done.”

Shine also finished writing the letter, so she neatly folded the letter she was holding.

She also attached a sticker to the envelope like me.

“Okay. Then I’ll send it to Santa?”

“Me too! I’ll go with you!”

I got up in a hurry at Amy’s words.

It was a letter to Santa.

I wanted to send it myself.

Amy got up from her seat and made a troubled expression.

After thinking for a moment, Amy took out her cell phone and tapped the screen several times.

After that, as if the problem had been solved, a small smile appeared on her face.

“Then shall I go with you?”

“Yes!”

Amy gave permission.

I immediately jumped down from my chair and ran to Baekshi.

I took off the hat from Baekshi, who was taking good care of my hat.

I pulled down the large witch’s hat and headed towards the large full-length mirror.

I carefully examined the hat to see if there were any strange wrinkles.

“Let’s go, Amy.”

After confirming that there was nothing wrong with my hat, I ran to Amy who was waiting at the entrance.

Shine was also putting on her shoes.

As I left the room, I was able to find a small wreath hanging in front of people’s doors.

I was quite envious of the people who were getting into the Christmas spirit.

“Amy! Let’s hang that up too!”

“Should we?”

“Yes!”

“Then I’ll send the letter and grab what I need on the way back.”

My eyes sparkled with anticipation.

We crossed the hallway and arrived at a staircase with tall pillars.

I looked up at the stairs with an anxious face.

Do I really have to go up here?

However, Amy lifted both of us up at once, making my worries seem pointless.

I hung on to Amy’s arm and climbed the stairs.

After climbing the stairs for a while, Amy passed the floor with the model park and dropped us off on the next floor.

It was an unfamiliar place for the first time.

However, the structure of the hallway was similar to other places.

When we crossed the new hallway and arrived, there was a large mailbox.

It was quite an unusual sight.

“Are you sending it here?”

“Yes.”

Amy approached the mailbox naturally.

I looked around to check the mood of the people.

It seemed that everyone around me was looking at this mailbox strangely.

“Don’t other people send letters to Santa?”

I asked Amy while looking around, and she slowly blurted out her words with a puzzled expression.

“That… That’s right! That’s right! It’s because they’re all adults and can’t receive presents!”

“Adults can’t receive presents?”

“Yes!”

I sat down in my seat, shocked by Amy’s words.

Adults can’t receive presents.

Then that means I can’t receive presents either.

“Jeff?”

At that moment, Shine approached me with a puzzled expression.

“Shine… I can’t receive it….”

When I muttered in a weak voice, Shine held out her hand to me.

“It’s okay. Jeff can receive it.”

I shook my head.

Santa said that he only gives presents to good children.

Since I was already an adult, it was clear that I couldn’t receive presents from Santa.

“No, Jeff. You can receive it.”

“Really…?”

I carefully raised my head as Shine’s voice continued to ring.

Shine’s small hand reached out to me moved.

She lifted me up from where I was sitting on the floor and carefully took out the letter in my hand.

“Jeff can receive it.”

Shine spoke as if she was certain, looking into my eyes.

She continued.

“Jeff isn’t an adult.”

Shine’s voice was so soft.

I nodded without realizing it at that soft voice.

As I continued to listen, it seemed like Shine was right.

“Yeah….”

Shine turned and approached the mailbox.

However, Shine, who was short, couldn’t put the letter in the mailbox.

It was the same for me.

Even though I stretched my short legs with all my might, I couldn’t reach it.

“Amy!”

When I looked at Amy with eyes asking for help, she hugged me and Shine again.

Our gazes instantly rose.

Shine and I were able to put the letter in with Amy’s help.

“Then shall we go back?”

After putting the letter in, we turned around and walked.

However, our gazes didn’t leave each other.

We kept glancing at the mailbox with sly glances.

Could it be that something went wrong and the letter disappeared?

I stopped in the farther away hallway and looked back at the mailbox one last time.

Soon, I had to turn the corner and go to the stairs.

My steps wouldn’t fall.

However, Shine grabbed my hand and urged me to turn around and walk.

After walking for a while, I turned around and ran back to the hallway where the mailbox was.

“Jeff?”

I heard Shine’s voice behind me.

Amy followed me.

The small sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway.

After passing through the long hallway and turning the corner, I was shocked and froze in place.

The red mailbox at the end of the hallway.

The mailbox that had clearly been there just a moment ago was gone.

“It’s gone!”

My anxiety became reality.

The mailbox was gone!

If that’s the case, then the letter I had put in it was gone too.

“Amy!”

My vision became blurry.

Tears filled my eyes.

I bit my lip hard to hold back my tears and called out to Amy urgently.

Amy, who had been following me, stopped when she saw me like that.

“Jeff? What’s going on?”

“The mailbox is gone!”

I reached out and pointed to where the mailbox had been.

Amy’s gaze, which had followed my hand, turned to the empty hallway.

She came to me with an awkward smile.

“It’s okay, Jeff. It went to see Santa.”

“To Santa?”

“Yeah. So don’t worry.”

Amy smiled softly and patted my head.

I rubbed my eyes and wiped away the tears.

The sleeves of her clothes were soaking wet.

“Okay, now let’s go back and make up the room.”

Amy said, holding out her hand.

I nodded and grabbed her hand.

Shine and I held Amy’s hand and walked down the hallway and down the stairs.

The place we arrived at was a large warehouse.

A dusty smell rose from the various junks that filled the warehouse.

Amy went inside and took out a large box.

A thin layer of dust was piled on top of the red and green box.

“Ta-da!”

Amy brushed off the dust from the box and opened it to show us the contents.

“Wow…”

Shine and I stared blankly at the inside of the box with our mouths wide open.

It was full of sparkly things.

“We’re going to decorate our room with this.”

I reached out and picked up a large bell.

A small and cute sound was heard.

Shine also reached out and picked up a large star from the box.

The appearance of the sparkly things changed depending on the viewpoint.

Shine seemed to like the star and held the large star in her arms.

We returned to our room and started decorating it.

The wreath hanging outside the door was decorated more extravagantly than anyone else’s.

It was quite heavy due to the excessive decorations, but it was satisfactory.

The excessive lighting that caught the eye made the hallway noisy.
