Tou finally released Yue Ye Si, but not before leaving several prominent blood-red marks upon her skin.
”Sister Yue, are you alright? I’ve brought some ointment; applying it should offer you some relief.”
The sheer number of wounds was a dreadful sight. Little Qiao Qiao, having located the family’s medicinal ointment, hastily unscrewed the lid, her small hands fumbling as she scooped up a generous dollop of the yellow salve, preparing to apply it to Yue Ye Si’s injured thigh.
Yet, before her fingers could even brush Yue Ye Si’s thigh, a gentle, unseen force nudged her aside.
Yue Ye Si then settled onto the ground in a cross-legged posture, swallowed a medicinal pill, and began to circulate her spiritual energy, initiating the healing process.
”Little Qiao Qiao, there’s no need to fret over her! A formidable expert like your Sister Yue will mend from such injuries in no time at all!”
”Maid Sister, is that truly so?”
”You’ll witness it for yourself shortly!”
Noting Little Qiao Qiao’s lingering doubt, Ji Jie gently guided her by the shoulder, leading them both to sit on the bed as they collectively awaited the unfolding miracle.
Indeed, befitting a Heaven-Human Realm expert, in less than ten minutes, Yue Ye Si’s skin had fully regenerated, leaving not even the faintest trace of a scar.
”Sister Yue is truly ama—mmmph…”
Little Qiao Qiao had been about to leap up, intending to exclaim, ‘Sister Yue is utterly amazing!’ However, the moment the words escaped her lips, Ji Jie, positioned behind her, swiftly covered her mouth.
”Shush—are you trying to rouse the Master with such a clamor?”
”Forg… forgive me!”
Fully aware of the dire repercussions should Tou be awakened, Little Qiao Qiao covered her mouth, her voice barely a whisper, mirroring Ji Jie’s hushed tone.
‘Oh, Sister Yue? Let’s hurry to bed! I still have so many things I wish to ask of you both.’
‘I had anticipated a much longer wait, but this was unexpectedly swift. Now, it’s time for bed; I’ll be nestled between the two of you, and the mere thought of it is thrilling! Most crucially, I’m eager to learn all your little ‘fullness’ tips, dear sisters.’
‘Once I’ve mastered the chest-enhancing techniques of both sisters, I’ll finally be able to bid farewell to this dreadful washboard chest of mine.’
Little Qiao Qiao brimmed with eager anticipation for the moments to come.
However, Yue Ye Si seemed somewhat amiss; upon rising, she didn’t spare Little Qiao Qiao or Ji Jie a glance. Instead, she moved with a feline stealth, slowly creeping closer to Tou.
”Sister Yue, please don’t antagonize Sister Twin Tails again!”
Her demeanor clearly betrayed an intention to ambush Tou! Fearing that Yue Ye Si might suffer further harm and apprehensive that Tou might awaken to wreak havoc, Little Qiao Qiao wrapped her arms around Yue Ye Si’s waist from behind, whispering her pleas to stop.
Yue Ye Si, however, paid her no mind whatsoever. With her palm outstretched towards Tou, another azure barrier instantly encased him. Naturally, the protective hair tie that guarded Tou was also ensnared within the spherical shield.
”Hehehe (¯﹃¯), my dear husband, here I come~~”
Tou remained deeply, blissfully asleep, utterly oblivious as Yue Ye Si stealthily burrowed into his covers.
Yue Ye Si grew even bolder, pulling Tou into her embrace and playfully kneading his delicate cheeks as though he were a mere rag doll.
”Hehehe (¯﹃¯)… he truly is peculiar when he’s asleep… ha… ha…”
Were Tou to awaken and witness Yue Ye Si in such a state, he would undoubtedly deliver a thorough beating!
Yet, he continued to slumber peacefully, shifting as he pleased, even going so far as to embrace Yue Ye Si as if she were a comfortable body pillow.
”Hmph!” Little Qiao Qiao pouted, realizing that sleeping with both sisters tonight was out of the question. Still, the tallest Maid Sister would be sharing a bed with her, so what reason did she have to complain, really?
With a swift turn, she launched herself into Ji Jie’s waiting embrace.
”Maid Sister, let’s begin our own session! You simply must… you must impart all your little secrets to me!”
”Little Qiao Qiao, in that case, you must pay close attention.”
The two sat facing each other on the bed. Ji Jie, as if about to impart a matter of grave importance, extended five fingers and spoke in a hushed tone:
”It’s quite simple, really; you only need to do five specific things!”
”Mhm!” Little Qiao Qiao settled obediently to the side, nodding her head with a remarkably serious expression.
”Rub, pinch, pull, flick, touch!”
”Eh?”
The wicked, almost mischievous glint in Ji Jie’s beautiful, emerald-like eyes deepened considerably.
”Eh, eh, eh!”
****
Ji Jie gently smoothed her hair, a faint smile gracing her lips, before pulling the covers up to her chin and speaking softly:
”There, there! It appears you’ve mastered it. Splendid, truly! You must be quite exhausted, so do get some rest now!”
”Ma… Maid Sister. *huff*… I’ve learned everything, thank you!”
Little Qiao Qiao’s face was flushed, and her words came out in ragged gasps.
”Mm! Rest well now!”
Once Little Qiao Qiao had drifted into slumber, Ji Jie stretched languidly. Night had fallen, and it was time for her to embark on her own significant endeavors.
Under the cloak of night, she then departed the village. Her subordinates had already pinpointed the Water Monkey’s location, and she intended to seize the initiative, either by subtly diverting the creature or by laying traps along its path of attack.
From her years of experience, enticing a demonic beast away was a formidable challenge, thus she had already resolved to set a series of intricate traps.
Ji Jie had first ventured alone into a secluded forest, where she stood for a time, letting the evening breeze caress her skin. Then, from the enveloping darkness, a black-clad swordsman materialized behind her, as if by a sudden flash.
”Master. Given Little Qiao Qiao’s exceptional innate talent, are you certain we should eliminate her? Would it not be more advantageous to control her, transforming her into our very own Magic Puppet?”
”A Magic Puppet? Is that forbidden art not notoriously unstable?”
The Forbidden Art of the Magic Puppet, it was rumored, could transmute a living being into a formidable combat automaton.
Unlike conventional puppets, Magic Puppets possessed the capacity to grow, strengthening themselves through cultivation, much like living practitioners. The superior the inherent talent of the raw material, the greater the power of the resulting Magic Puppet.
However, this particular Forbidden Art of the Magic Puppet had long since become fragmented. Not only within their immediate vicinity, but even among the contemporary Demon Race, it had been ages since anyone capable of wielding this forbidden technique had emerged.
”Master, I am currently experimenting with it. While failures have been numerous, I am now remarkably close to achieving success! Furthermore, having obtained several forbidden arts from the Qiao family this time, I dare to assure you that I will succeed in less than half a year!”
The black-clad swordsman drew her blade, lightly licked its edge, and replied with an air of profound confidence.
”Very well, then! I shall entrust her to your care. Should you fail within six months, I will personally see to the termination of her life. Individuals such as her possess immense potential for future accomplishments; she absolutely cannot be allowed to fall into enemy hands, do you understand?”
”Then I extend my gratitude, Master.”
Granted Ji Jie’s permission, the black-clad swordsman swiftly bowed in gratitude. Then, lifting her head, a flicker of golden light briefly illuminated her eyes as she lowered her voice and continued:
”Furthermore, regarding Yue Ye Si and Tou. These two seem to have materialized from thin air; we have yet to uncover any discernible clues concerning their origins.”
”That comes as no surprise! Possessing Emperor-tier magical artifacts and being Heaven-Human Realm experts, their origins are undoubtedly significant. It appears that attempting to interfere with them will be far from a simple undertaking!”
Ji Jie interlaced her fingers, stretching them high above her head, her body taut. Her subordinates having yielded no intelligence regarding Tou and Yue Ye Si, she had long since anticipated such a result.
Immediately thereafter, she twisted and swayed her body, much like one would during a warm-up. Indeed, this was precisely what she was doing; after a few limbering movements, she cracked her knuckles and strode purposefully forward.
”Then let us commence! The prospect of challenging Heaven-Human Realm experts truly ignites the blood!”
