Chapter 37 : Fenrir Subjugation Battle , Part 1

After securing the motorcycle and exiting the warehouse. Chirp chirp! A small sparrow suddenly flew in.

This bold bird started circling above my head without fear. Curious, I looked up slightly and saw its red eyes.

Could it be…? Now that I see it, this sparrow. It was the same one Aurel had been holding tightly earlier.

He must have succeeded in making it his familiar after all that effort. I extended my hand just in case.

The sparrow, chirping, landed on my finger. -Chirp? The sparrow tilted its head, looking up at me.

I chuckled softly and let it fly away. The sparrow, flapping its small wings, circled around me before flying towards the place where Aurel and Hwanggu were waiting.

It seemed no issues arose during that brief time. I walked with the motorcycle towards the spot where the kids were waiting.

The location was a grassy area slightly away from the warehouse. Rustle- rustle- As I approached, the bushes moved busily, revealing someone hiding inside. With my hand on my hip, I spoke.

“Come out, both of you.”

“Charlotte!”

“Charlotte!”

As if waiting for my call, the two girls ran out quickly. Seeing their cute appearance brought a smile to my face.

Even though it was a short time, the girls expressed their joy as if it had been much longer.

Who wouldn’t smile at such a sight? I patted Aurel and Hwanggu on the head.

“Charlotte! Did you see it? My sparrow!”

“Yeah. Looks like you succeeded.”

“Yes!”

Aurel was running excitedly around me. She stretched her arms up to the sky.

A sparrow chirping flew in and landed gently on Aurel’s finger, just like it had done with me.

Curious about what she was going to do, I watched her quietly.

Aurel laughed lightly, and then the sparrow’s body dissolved into red blood and was absorbed into Aurel’s body.

Just as I kept my familiars in the shadows, it seemed Aurel stored her familiars in her blood.

“What are you going to do now?”

Aurel asked, smiling brightly at me.

I thought for a moment before answering.

“I’m thinking of increasing the number of familiars.”

“More here?”

“Yes.”

Aurel looked at me with a worried expression.

I knew what she was worried about.

Blood.

She was worried about feeding all these familiars.

If this were a game, we could just harvest blood fruits from the field, but there were no such trees in this world.

For now, we had enough absorbed blood, so it wasn’t a problem, but in a few days, the kids would be clamoring for food.

To fight Fenrir, we needed to increase the number of familiars.

So, instead of just increasing the numbers, we needed to improve the quality of each familiar.

Even with the side effect of lowering their level, they needed to be strong enough to fight.

The level of future familiars should be at least 17.

If hunting fusions in the game increased levels, it would have been great.

Then, I wouldn’t need to set such standards.

I nodded to myself, setting my own criteria.

“Aurel, Hwanggu.”

“Yes!”

“Yes!”

I called them as I got on the motorcycle.

They quickly clung to my legs.

Feeling the soft touch of their hands on my thighs, I pulled the motorcycle’s handle.

Vroom-!

-Aaah!

-Run! Don’t get caught!

Screams of humans echoed from all directions. I hummed a tune to the accompaniment of those screams.

Two days had passed since the motorcycle theft incident. In that time, the number of familiars had increased by 10, bringing the total to 41. Now, the scale was much larger than most clans.

-If you get caught, you’ll become a vampire! Don’t get caught!

Shouts and screams filled the battlefield. Humans who couldn’t fight chose to commit suicide. As the need for blood increased, we frequently raided human clans, and rumors about me seemed to have spread.

“Um, excuse me…”

“Yes?”

“Are you really going to turn me into a vampire?”

I looked at the human, covered in blood and lying limp. He was level 18, so the kids had brought him alive. He looked up at me with trembling eyes, filled with a desire to live.

I nodded without hesitation.

“Yes.”

“Like those kids…?”

“Yes.”

The human user looked down at his body. Long legs, firm muscles, a perfectly balanced physique. Becoming my familiar meant losing his current body.

He sighed deeply and nodded. With the number of familiars exceeding 40, I no longer participated in battles directly.

All battles were entrusted to my children. The number of familiars able to fight directly was 30, while the remaining 10 were gathering items from human hideouts.

I stood up, confirming the fading screams. The battle was nearing its end. There would be only one new familiar born this time.

I gestured toward the human user lying on the ground. The shadow at my feet wriggled and swallowed the human user.

He would soon be reborn not as a dark, grotesque man, but as a soft and cute girl. The human user accepted his transformation calmly, without resistance.

“Pipi.”

“Yes!”

Pipi, level 1, came running at my call. She couldn’t participate in battles due to her low level, so she often served me in other ways. “Hmm…”

I unfolded the map Pipi handed me. The map was covered with red marks. These indicated the locations of human clans.

With the information I had gathered, I knew the locations of all the human clans around Seoul Station.

Forty percent of them had already been destroyed by me. By now, everyone living in Seoul should fully recognize my strength.

It’s really time to move now. I folded the map and shouted. “Everyone, gather!” The children started moving quickly at my call.

Girls drenched in red blood came running frantically. “Good job, everyone.” I patted Yeppi, who was standing in front. Her small, soft white belly was bulging.

It meant she had drunk a lot of blood. I wondered if it would burst if I poked it.

I spread my fingers and poked her white belly.

Poke poke-

“Eek…”

Yeppi flinched at my touch. It wasn’t just Yeppi. Most of the higher-level familiars were in this state.

Why do they drink so much? If they enter the shadows, all the blood they drank would be absorbed by me anyway.

Anyone would think I was starving them. I waved my hand at the familiars. The girls melted into the shadows. With the familiars retrieved, only Aurel and Hwanggu remained.

“Where are we going this time?” Aurel asked, looking at me. I unfolded the map in my hand and answered.

“I’m planning to visit the vampire clans.”

“The vampire clans?”

“Yes, I’m thinking of hunting Fenrir soon.”

“Gasp…”

Aurel’s mouth hung open in surprise at my answer.

I smiled lightly and patted Aurel’s head. Raiding human clans had earned us a lot of credits. With this, I could fully equip my familiars.

Aurel and Hwanggu were already wearing basic armor. I approached the motorcycle parked near the humans’ hideout.

Aurel and Hwanggu quickly ran over and clung to my thighs.

Vroom! The motorcycle sped off. Finding the vampire clans wasn’t difficult. Raiding human clans had also revealed the locations of vampire clans.

Meeting the clan leaders wasn’t hard either. When I visited them, the leaders came out to greet me first. I proposed hunting Fenrir to them.

Most reactions were negative. Vampires living near Seoul Station had experienced Fenrir’s terror firsthand, leaving them traumatized.

However, not all reactions were negative. Some clans reserved their answers, while others agreed to hunt Fenrir.

“I’ll join you…”

“Really?”

The small vampire girl nodded at my question. Her long red hair swayed gently.

[Peirin] Level: 20

Race: Vampire

Health: 100%

Mana: 100%

Emotional State: Mild sexual arousal, nervous

Her name was Peirin, the leader of a clan with 15 members. A level 20 vampire who had chosen the rare mage build. I smiled brightly and shook Peirin’s small hand.

“Thank you!”

“Hmm…”

Peirin turned her head shyly at my touch. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, indicating she wasn’t used to such physical contact.

On the way back from Peirin’s clan hideout, Aurel subtly approached and held my hand. She seemed envious of the handshake with Peirin earlier.

I knew Aurel’s intentions were mischievous, but her actions were too cute to push her away. I sighed and held Aurel’s hand tightly.

“Gasp…”

Aurel gasped as I held her hand. We arrived at the motorcycle. It was time to let go. As I got on the motorcycle, Aurel and Hwanggu naturally clung to my thighs.

There were still many vampire clans to visit. Of course, visiting all the vampire clans wasn’t the end. I also planned to propose hunting Fenrir to the werewolves allied with the vampires.

“Let’s go!”

Vroom-!

I sped down the dark road with the two girls clinging to my thighs. As we were enjoying the ride, the motorcycle suddenly began to slow down and eventually came to a stop. “Gasp…” “We’re out of gas.”
