The effect of my Domain, Beyond Immortality, was the suppression of regeneration.
Any living being within the Domain couldn’t regenerate.
While this sealed both our greatest weapons, I wasn’t disadvantaged.
I was immortal. Losing a limb or two was inconsequential, though painful.
Muzan, however, could still die.
Even with seven hearts and five brains, he was still mortal if they were all destroyed.
His usual escape tactic, splitting his body into 1,800 pieces, was also ineffective.
My Domain was a closed space. He couldn’t escape my senses.
Furthermore, I had another advantage: Titan transformation.
See?
His attacks, even with his enlarged body and countless tentacles, were useless.
My Protective Aura shielded me from harm. Even if he managed to penetrate it, he would still have to break through my Titan form to reach my true body.
I had the upper hand in this exchange.
I swung my Titan-sized blade, aiming for Muzan’s neck.
He didn’t bother blocking, confident in his regenerative abilities.
However, within my Domain, regeneration was impossible. His head was severed, rolling across the ground.
Thud
“What?! Why can’t I regenerate?! What have you done?!”
Muzan writhed like a worm. I considered explaining, but decided against it. I swung my blade again, targeting his headless body.
He desperately tried to block, but he couldn’t defend against everything. He lost both his arms.
“Heh, how foolish of you to leave yourself open.”
Having managed to wound me despite my Protective Aura, Muzan looked triumphant.
His blood, a potent toxin capable of disintegrating cells, was usually a guaranteed kill.
However, he had chosen the wrong opponent.
The Demonic Divine Art repelled foreign energies.
It was a pure, singular force, leaving no room for other energies to interfere.
His poison was useless against me.
“Is that all?”
I asked simply, but Muzan’s face was contorted with fear.
Was he truly a bully, only capable of dominating weaker opponents?
He had fled from Yoriichi after sensing the power difference.
I was wasting my time with him.
I raised my blade, ready to end this. He made one last desperate attempt.
“I can’t die like this!”
He split his body into 1,800 pieces, just like he did against Yoriichi, scattering in all directions.
“You’ll pay for this! I’ll kill you next time!”
He taunted me as he fled, seemingly forgetting one crucial detail.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“What? How…? What is this wall?! Why can’t I escape?!”
“I erected a barrier to prevent your escape.”
“…”
“Choose. Die here, or make your last stand.”
“Damn it!!”
Enraged by my offer, Muzan charged.
He was still in 1,800 pieces.
I focused, ready to strike.
I swung, and swung again.
1,800 pieces might seem like a lot, but for a martial artist of my caliber, it was child’s play.
I cut them down one by one.
When there was nothing left around me, I knew I had destroyed every piece.
“Is it over?”
I watched as the last vestiges of Muzan turned to ash and dissipated.
When there was nothing left, I deactivated my Domain.
Back in the Entertainment District, a Kasugai Crow landed before me.
“Caw! Caw! D-Did you kill Muzan…?”
“Yes. There are no more demons in this world.”
“Cawwwww!”
Peace would return to this world.
With Muzan gone, all demons would cease to exist.
