Britannia’s Finest

Chapter 40368 words4 min read

A mocking voice rang out from the crowd: “Just you alone? Ha-ha-ha!”

A cold glint flashed under the moonlight.

The first assailant to charge at Maple was swiftly cut down, his body collapsing to the ground.

The sight momentarily stunned the others, but their shock quickly ignited into fury. Drawing their blades, they swarmed him en masse.

Maple tore through the throng! His sword spun like a kaleidoscope in his grip, felling a man with every step.

He moved with unstoppable momentum, leaving a trail of fallen bodies in his wake.

Standing behind him, observing the battle, I was utterly dumbfounded!

I realized I had always underestimated Maple. I knew he was strong, but I never imagined he possessed such formidable power.

He must have held back significantly during the martial arts competition.

“Why have you all stopped moving?” Maple asked, breaking the silence.

The others remained speechless.

In a daze, I watched as Maple stood tall, his sword in hand, surrounded by a circle of fallen figures. No one dared approach him now.

“Aren’t there still half of you left?” Maple questioned again.

Everyone instinctively took a step back.

Just then, a round of applause echoed from within the crowd.

“Splendid, truly splendid. I’ve long heard that Prince Maple is Britannia’s finest, but seeing it with my own eyes today truly surpasses all tales.”

While everyone else cowered before Maple, this individual stepped forward!

She wore no mask, dressed in a red and black haori, revealing her identity as a lop-eared rabbit girl.

Her companions lay defeated, yet she leisurely applauded. From her very entrance, she exuded an aura of unfathomable depth.

“Young Miss, why have you come in person?”

They called her ‘Young Miss’? It seemed she was their leader.

“For a plan this crucial, I must personally oversee it to ensure absolute success.”

The others visibly relaxed, murmuring, “With the Young Miss here, we’re sure to succeed.”

Her eyes, though smiling, were fixed on Maple with an intense malice.

“Heh, Britannia’s finest, you say?”

From the sleeve of her haori, she drew a katana.

“If you can defeat me, I, Shenwei, will declare you the strongest in all the land!”
