Jiang Wan’s first offering was an item of clothing: a black sports bra.

“Students in the university division no longer wear gym suits for physical education classes,” she explained. “They all wear these, as their workouts tend to be more intense.”

Jiang Wan placed the bra in Xi Yao’s hands, a flicker of anticipation dancing in her beautiful eyes. “This would be better for you then, as it’s more breathable.”

Holding the sports bra, Xi Yao examined it closely, a sense of familiarity washing over her.

‘Oh, I remember now,’ she thought. ‘It’s the same style as Xi Ruo-jie’s.’

“Wan… *cough*, Big Sister,” she almost blurted out, catching herself before reverting to the original owner’s habit. “Wouldn’t it be a bit… inappropriate for me to wear this?”

Xi Yao distinctly remembered Xi Ruo wearing that very outfit in front of her, her ‘snow-capped peaks and valleys’ (TL Note: A metaphor for prominent breasts) completely exposed, swaying constantly with every step. The image was seared into her memory.

A slightly more innocent girl would surely have blushed crimson and averted her gaze, yet Xi Yao had managed to stare for quite some time.

Jiang Wan tilted her head slightly, her voice soft. “Inappropriate, you say? Shall I get you a white one instead?”

‘It would match your underwear perfectly… And don’t ask how Big Sister knows; I had to reach in to listen to your heartbeat during the last check-up.’

“It’s not about the color,” Xi Yao explained, gesturing with her small hands. “If I wear this… it’s just too ‘spicy’ (TL Note: A slang term referring to something overtly sexy or provocative).”

Xi Ruo-jie’s figure already looked so striking in it; with her own slightly larger endowments, the effect would naturally be even more pronounced.

Having viewed countless ‘spicy’ images (TL Note: A slang term for sexually suggestive pictures), Xi Yao was quite knowledgeable on the subject. She knew that if she were to wear this, forget about running or exercising; even if she simply stood still, every single frame would be a ‘spicy’ image.

“That’s precisely why I suggested white,” Jiang Wan stated earnestly. “White is considered purer.”

“…”

‘Is this truly a matter of black or white?’ she wondered.

Just then, Jiang Li chimed in from the side. “Xi Yao, just put it on. Anyway, you’ll only be running around the girls’ dormitories or in the female activity areas afterwards, so there’s no need to worry about anything.”

‘Big Sister already has someone she loves deeply. As for me and most other girls, we’re straight. At most, we’d appreciate the view; there’s no ‘tofu-eating’ (TL Note: A Chinese slang term for sexual harassment or taking liberties) involved.’

Jiang Li’s only concern was that if Xi Yao wore it like this in the dorm, she might inadvertently ‘open the lottery’ (TL Note: A Chinese slang term for revealing too much or being overly provocative) when looking in the mirror. This, too, was easily remedied: simply cover the dorm’s only full-length mirror.

‘Besides, she wanted to see it too…’

“Alright, I’ll go change in the fitting room.”

Convinced, Xi Yao took the sports bra and entered the small changing room. She shed her gym suit, slipped into the sports bra, stretched her arms, and let out a comfortable sigh.

It was indeed far more comfortable than the gym suit, not only incredibly breathable but also completely unrestrictive.

‘The only problem was how revealing it was…’

The moment Xi Yao emerged from the changing room in her new attire, Jiang Li’s gaze landed on her, and she immediately flushed crimson, unable to look away.

Such a pure maiden couldn’t withstand this kind of stimulation.

Jiang Wan, however, appeared perfectly composed. She observed Xi Yao for a full ten seconds with an gaze akin to purely academic research, then offered a gentle smile.

“It’s a perfect fit. Now, let’s proceed with the running test.”

‘In truth, Big Sister’s heart rate had already soared past 120 beats per minute; if her chest were any smaller, her pounding heart would surely have been audible.’

Leading the way to a treadmill, Jiang Wan instructed, “Run on this for me. I need to assess your current physical fitness and determine the most suitable running rhythm and speed for you.”

While pleased with the outcome, Jiang Wan’s intentions were genuinely pure; she was earnestly helping Xi Yao devise a workout plan.

The sports bra, and the inevitable sway during running, were simply forces beyond her control.

Unsuspecting, Xi Yao stepped onto the treadmill and slowly began to move her legs.

As she started to run, her ‘snow-capped peaks’ began to sway.

Jiang Li immediately lowered her head, her face flushed, watching Xi Yao’s running strides, daring not to look up.

‘Thank goodness I’m straight; otherwise, who could possibly resist a roommate like this?’

Jiang Wan, possessing greater self-control, managed to focus intently on Xi Yao’s condition.

“Maintain steady breathing, synchronize it with your pace. It’s alright to go slower; the rhythm is what truly matters… Yes, just like that.”

Xi Yao settled into her rhythm. The elastic sports bra, gently yet firmly supporting her ‘snow-capped peaks’, felt refreshingly breathable—undoubtedly superior to a white T-shirt or gym suit.

As her pale legs moved rhythmically, the young woman once again felt it: the sensation of running under the setting sun, her lost youth now regained.

*Buzz! Buzz!*

A notification buzzed on her phone. Xi Yao picked it up, surprised to see it was from Xi Ruo.

[Big Sister: What are you doing?]

‘The contact name was one she had set herself, and hadn’t gotten around to changing.’

Xi Yao didn’t give it much thought, but since she couldn’t type easily, she tapped the voice input button.

“I’m… *pant*, hmm… I’m running… *pant*.”

‘Running with such youthful vigor is truly exhausting.’

Xi Ruo came up with a plan. She recalled hearing some girls discussing earlier that Xi Yao and Jiang Li had arrived and left together—meaning they had personally witnessed Xi Yao’s whereabouts.

And so…

The girls were still chatting animatedly.

“So, who do you think has bigger breasts,” one girl mused, “the legendary Aileen or Xi Yao?”

“Hard to say,” another replied. “I think Xi Yao’s are probably a bit bigger, judging from pictures.”

“I think so too. Speaking of which, they probably know each other, don’t they? Since they’re both Yun Caiyi’s rivals.”

“Possibly… *gasp*!”

The young girl startled, for as she spoke, she turned her head and suddenly found herself staring at a tall senior student, cloaked in a hoodie and mask, who was observing her with an icy gaze.

“A quick question,” Xi Ruo cut straight to the chase. “Did you see which way Xi Yao went?”

The girls exchanged glances, then one bravely stepped forward. “I saw them heading towards Sector A3 on my way here.”

“Thank you.”

Xi Ruo uttered a faint word of thanks, then strode off towards Sector A3 with her long, elegant legs, moving at an incredibly swift pace, much like the figure who had dribbled past opponents on the court last Wednesday.

The girls stared at each other, wide-eyed.

“Do you know that senior student?”

“No, and even if I did, I wouldn’t recognize her with the mask on.”

“True… but she has such a great figure!”

The young woman was racing along the path, a slight unease stirring within her.

‘Why skip a perfectly good PE class and run all the way to Sector A3? What hidden motive could there be?’

Just then, her phone buzzed. Xi Ruo picked it up to see a voice message from Xi Yao.

“I’m… *pant*, hmm… I’m running… *pant*.”

Xi Ruo’s mind exploded with a sudden realization.

‘Sending a voice message while constantly panting, and you tell me you’re just running?!’

She dashed directly to Sector A3, quickly pinpointing the only room there.

“*Pant, pant, pant.*”

Xi Yao’s breathing grew increasingly rapid, while her legs moved slower and slower; it was clear she was nearing exhaustion.

Jiang Wan held a tablet, observing the various data points recorded by the treadmill on its screen, her delicate brows furrowed slightly.

“Xi Yao’s physical fitness isn’t particularly good,” she remarked, turning to her sister beside her. “Do you have any idea why?”

Jiang Li hesitated, on the verge of speaking, but ultimately tightened her beautiful features and said, “No.”

‘In truth, she did have an idea, but felt too embarrassed to voice it.’

‘Her dear roommate was ‘opening the lottery’ (TL Note: A Chinese slang term for revealing too much or being overly provocative) every other day in the dorm; how could her body possibly be in good shape?’
