The Bloody Aftermath and a Cruel Reawakening

Chapter 431,724 words15 min read

Rumor has it that people nowadays enjoy bloody battles, though I’m not sure if that’s true?

When Qiweiya and Angela teleported in, the ground was already a gruesome, blood-soaked expanse. It was impossible to discern what had transpired there.

Snap!

As Qiweiya turned to Angela, she saw the girl sprawled helplessly on the ground, seemingly devoid of her very soul.

Qiweiya sighed softly, patting Angela’s shoulder. ‘It’s alright. As long as your sister’s existence hasn’t been completely erased, I can perfectly resurrect her. I guarantee she’ll be vibrant, lively, and utterly complete, lacking nothing!’

A flicker of hope returned to Angela’s eyes. ‘Really?’

Qiweiya nodded confidently. ‘Of course! Don’t you know who I am?’

‘Angela, you dare to return?’ a voice sneered, followed by maniacal laughter. ‘You truly have a death wish! Did you think bringing a little brat would make us die from her cuteness?’

Qiweiya’s brow twitched as she surveyed the group of black-robed figures who had suddenly emerged from the surrounding buildings. ‘These are the Blockaders, then?’

Angela’s gaze, filled with venomous hatred, locked onto the black-robed individual wearing a golden shield-shaped emblem within the crowd, and she nodded in confirmation.

Upon receiving Angela’s affirmation, Qiweiya let out a fervent laugh. A sanguine crimson mist materialized on the battlefield, seemingly from nowhere.

‘Hahaha! Since you are capable of such despicable acts, allow me to punish and tear you all to shreds! Destroyer, emerge!’

The magnificent golden-blue arm gauntlet, once wielded against the Demon Royalty in ancient times, now materialized on Qiweiya’s arms.

Clack, clack!

Her fingers clenched and spread, as if craving the sustenance of flesh and blood. Qiweiya stroked the arm gauntlet. ‘Darling, it’s time to make all living beings in this world tremble in fear! 233’

The golden-emblazoned black-robed figure cautiously waved a hand. ‘Everyone, attack together! This girl is peculiar! We must coordinate our efforts!’

Following their leader’s command, the group of black-robed figures surged forward in an unusual formation. Qiweiya, with a single kick, shattered an unformed magic array on the ground.

She then seized a steel wire that was slicing towards her at high speed, laughing wildly. ‘Come here, you!’

Caught off guard, the black-robed assailant was yanked violently through the air by Qiweiya’s immense strength.

‘Crumble! You trash!’

Poof!

The black-robed figure’s aura shield, along with their entire body, was instantly pulverized, reduced to an unrecognizable, grotesque mosaic.

‘Next! Come on!’

With those words, another sweeping punch shattered a magical cannon blast capable of nation-level destructive power.

VWOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM—

Blinding white light filled everyone’s vision. Through the haze, a black-robed figure glimpsed a small, rapidly enlarging silhouette.

CLANG! CRACK! BANG!

The defensive net of steel wires, hastily deployed by the black-robed figure, was violently torn apart by Qiweiya!

‘Shatter!’

Her five sharp claws splayed open, plunging into the black-robed figure’s chest. ‘Hmph!’

RIIIP!

The black-robed figure was brutally ripped in half.

A tremor of fear ran through the remaining black-robed figures, and their attacks grew noticeably slower. The leader of the Blockaders, seeing the dread in their subordinates’ eyes, gritted their teeth and produced an unknown black magic scroll.

SWISH~

Qiweiya’s sixth sense screamed with an intense premonition of danger. Utterly confident in her instincts, she executed a swift roll.

At her previous location, the dark energy she loathed began to coalesce, appearing continuously. Qiweiya frowned; the sense of peril had not vanished, even after she had moved away from that spot.

‘In that case, let’s see who poses the greatest threat!’ Qiweiya declared, a wide, predatory grin splitting her lips. ‘Ahahahahaha!’

She charged directly towards the dark energy, unleashing a straight punch that seemed capable of piercing a planet.

————VWOOM VWOOM VWOOM RUMBLE

A dark-purple pillar of light, infused with Qiweiya’s law-level energy, shot from the ground into the sky, endlessly expanding.

‘Quick, quick, quick! Retreat! Retreat!’

The golden-emblazoned black-robed figure urged their subordinates to fall back, yet several were still engulfed by the light pillar, instantly turning to dust.

Before long, the purple-black light pillar began to shrink and dissipate, leaving behind only a bottomless chasm over a hundred meters wide. The black-robed leader exhaled a shaky breath. ‘Phew, that monster should be dead beyond dead now, right?’

SPLAT~

The black-robed figure’s expression turned exceptionally grim. ‘Splat, splat, splat…’

Amidst the unsettling sounds, a golden-blue arm gauntlet, scorched in places, clamped onto the edge of the pit.

‘Heh!’

With a ‘BANG,’ Qiweiya slammed onto the ground less than a few dozen meters away from them. The momentum from her ascent created a spiderweb of cracks across the earth.

Her eyes, now a dark golden hue, left streaks of light in the air as she shook her head. ‘Your ultimate attacks are nothing more than this! If you don’t have stronger moves, I’m going to tear you all to shreds now, my cute little kittens! 2333’

The leader scoffed. ‘If you think that, you’re truly arrogant! The one thing we Blockaders never lack are bizarre and powerful ultimate attacks!’

Qiweiya narrowed her dark golden eyes, wagging a finger. ‘No, no, no~ You’re still not worthy. My blood hasn’t fully ignited, completely failing to stir my desires!’

‘Trash, this is your last chance. Unleash whatever abilities you possess… otherwise, you’ll die in despair to the sounds of your comrades’ flesh being ripped apart~’

The Blockader leader chuckled. ‘Hehehe~ You truly are arrogant! If a department like ours, tasked with protecting the secrets of the continent’s foremost academy, lacked profound heritage, we wouldn’t have survived until now!’

With that, they retrieved a peculiar dagger from a spatial ring. ‘Do you know what this is? While I’m unsure if its special properties can slay you, there’s no harm in trying it!’

To Qiweiya’s amused expression, the leader swung the dagger at her. Yet, Qiweiya remained standing, completely unharmed.

Disbelieving, the leader swung a few more times.

CRUNCH!

A metallic hand clamped around the leader’s skull. Qiweiya yawned. ‘I don’t care how much effort you put into getting it! All I know is this: you’re about to die!’

‘Wait! Wait! I—’

With a sickening ‘SQUELCH,’ the leader’s head was brutally crushed by Qiweiya’s bare hands.

A gruesome spray of red and white, like curdled tofu, splattered onto Qiweiya. The group of black-robed figures recoiled in unison, utterly terrified.

Qiweiya looked at the black-robed figures with a sudden realization. ‘Oh right, I haven’t dealt with you all yet! Look at my memory.’

As she spoke, she clenched her hand, still clad in the Destroyer gauntlet, and began to advance.

‘No… don’t come closer!’

‘Please, spare us! Everything was our leader’s command!’

‘That’s right! Our leader is dead now, so please, Milady, let us go!’

The pleas continued, a chorus of desperate voices.

Qiweiya observed the hideous expressions of the group, her lips curling in disgust. Yet, as if suddenly struck by an idea, her face softened into an amiable smile.

‘Oh my, oh my~ Hearing you all speak, I suppose I understand that it was mostly that fellow’s fault. Still, to be truly sincere, I think it’s better if I incur some cost myself~’

‘No, no, no! There’s absolutely no need! You are too kind!’

‘Yes! We really don’t need that!’

‘That’s right, that’s right!’

Ignoring the protests of the remaining few, Qiweiya cheerfully slipped a black pill into each of their hands. ‘This is my compensation for the fright you received~ Consider it a small token of my apology, humble though it may be! I hope you’re satisfied.’

‘As for its effects, you’ll know once you’ve eaten it. I guarantee your satisfaction~’

‘Well then, my apologies have been expressed, and I must be going now! Bye-bye!’

With those words, she prepared to vanish from their sight, taking Angela with her.

Angela, her eyes red-rimmed, stared intently at Qiweiya. ‘Why! Why didn’t you finish them off?’

Qiweiya shushed her. ‘Come, come! Listen closely~’

Though Angela harbored doubts about Qiweiya’s methods, she still pricked up her ears, straining to hear the surrounding sounds.

‘Ah! Ow! Ugh! Cough, cough! Help me! What the hell is this?! Someone save me!’

‘No, no! Ah! It hurts so much!’

The horrific screams continued, chilling her to the bone.

Angela shivered, then cautiously asked Qiweiya, ‘Are those the screams of those people?’

Qiweiya nodded with satisfaction. ‘Exactly~ The things I gave them aren’t pleasant at all! It’s enough for them to experience various cruel tortures before they finally die, at least for a while.’

‘For example, countless insects chewing on their internal organs, their brain matter, and so on~’

Noticing Angela’s ashen face, Qiweiya ceased her explanation and gently patted her head. ‘Alright, alright~ It’s about time to resurrect your sister now! Don’t dwell on these past events.’

Angela nodded, overjoyed, and urged, ‘Then hurry! I can’t wait to see my sister… Ah! Lady Qiweiya, I’m not rushing you!’

Qiweiya watched the girl frantically explain, amused, and gently reassured her. ‘It’s alright, I understand your feelings. Let’s begin now.’

Once Angela was ready, Qiweiya initiated her next action. Her fingers traced symbols in the air, and an array, bound by what seemed to be fate, shimmered into existence.

‘Origin, respond to my call! In the name of the Origin God, I shall reawaken this maiden’s sister from the currents of fate! I shall reforge her physical body in this world!’

The array slowly faded, and a crimson soul appeared where it once floated.

Qiweiya clicked her tongue. ‘Not bad! An elemental soul, no less? Young lady, your sister possesses exceptional talent~’

As she spoke, she clasped her hands, and flesh began to sprout continuously around the soul. Within minutes, an orange-haired girl appeared before them, vibrant and lifelike, albeit completely devoid of clothing.

Qiweiya turned her head, clearing her throat a few times. ‘Well… you can go see your sister now~ Oh, her name is Fiana, right?’

Angela nodded and rushed forward, embracing Fiana. Qiweiya, wiping away a nearly flowing nosebleed, pulled out a small notebook.

‘Fiana — Bust*** Waist*** Hips*** Appearance Grade A. Personality: to be observed. Evaluation: Nice~’ Eheheh.
