The light guides me. Everyone, follow me!
“I shall become a Paladin.”
[Ka]
[I knew it, GOAT]
[Heavy armor swag]
[Those brainless Berserker bugs are done for!]
[Disappointed in you, Sensei]
[If this were peak Sensei, you’d have gone Berserker and slaughtered the boss in one second]
[Your aggression has been neutered]
[Where did the Mollu from EOWAR go?!]
[Listen to the clanging sound as they walk, pure class]
[Insanely cool]
[Low testosterone levels, huh?]
[Why would a woman in her 20s be secreting testosterone…]
[Info] Contrary to popular belief, Mollu prefers efficient, calculated gameplay over flashy, aggressive play.
[That tournament impact was just too big]
[Get rid of the tournament-only viewers!]
“Come on, don’t fight. Let’s all get along.”
They were saying nonsense about kicking out valuable new viewers. I calmed the viewers, who were hyped and angry.
Among the flood of messages, one long comment caught my attention — it had accurately analyzed my playstyle.
That’s right. Despite what many think, I actually prefer stable and meticulous gameplay over flashy, physical-heavy moves.
There’s something satisfying about gradually gaining an advantage.
And to be honest, I didn’t have great physical ability to begin with, so this approach was my only option.
It’s not something you can change overnight once it becomes your style.
Unless it’s a situation where physical ability is essential — like the recent EOWAR tournament — I prefer to avoid risky, high-stakes plays.
I explained this in a simple, straightforward manner.
The viewers who were rooting for the Paladin flooded the chat with admiration.
“Therefore, the class I have chosen is none other than the ‘Guide of Light’.”
With that, I made a ta-da gesture and revealed the new skill I had obtained.
It was the same skill Helperth used — Sacred Flame, the ability to ignite divine flames on a sword.
The sight of the pure white flames flickering along the blade was truly a spectacle.
Unfortunately, this was the only skill I gained after acquiring the new class.
For all the trouble it took to defeat the nearly unbeatable Helperth, this was all I got.
Both the viewers and I were initially dumbfounded, but we soon accepted it.
After all, it wouldn’t be wise to hand out overpowered skills in a game as notoriously difficult as Dragon Lord.
Honestly, even getting this much was a blessing.
Previously, the only skills I had were a short invincibility dodge and a parry that reflected enemy attacks with precise timing.
So, having the Sacred Flame to make up for my lack of damage was a godsend.
Besides, finishing a game like this too quickly and easily would make it less fun.
In that sense, I wondered if I was failing to entertain the viewers.
But I couldn’t pretend to be bad at the game either.
Streaming truly was a challenging and profound endeavor.
As I chatted with the viewers and tested out Sacred Flame, the screen suddenly shifted.
Just like before, a cutscene-style event freeze occurred.
The same figure from before appeared.
It was the beautiful woman who had arranged my fight with Helperth.
“The tragic warrior, Helperth. He was my most faithful servant. At the same time, he was also the strongest Paladin.”
“She’s calling him a ‘servant,’ so this must be the goddess, right? The one who briefly appeared in the teaser?”
[Judging by the fact that she’s wearing a veil, it’s definitely her.]
[Nunnaaaaaaa!]
[Heuuuuung~]
[She’s so pretty.]
[If even the goddess is appearing, then this must be the right route.]
[Looks like a behind-the-scenes story about Helperth.]
[Someone’s definitely going to summarize this and upload it to YouTube as “Dragon Road Story.”]
In the frozen world, the goddess spoke softly, like an old grandmother telling an ancient tale.
While the viewers were captivated by the continuation of the storyline first revealed by the game developers, I was gradually losing interest.
I had managed to listen attentively for about five minutes, but after ten minutes passed, her words started to drift in one ear and out the other.
There was no skip function, so I had no choice but to sit through it.
While most people would hang on to every word of the story, I had a habit of skipping through long narrative segments like this.
“Huuuaaaah…”
I let out a big yawn as I scratched my belly absentmindedly, half-listening to the goddess.
The sound of my yawn was picked up by my mic and broadcast directly to the stream.
Immediately, the attention of viewers, who had been engrossed in the goddess’s story, shifted to me.
[The goddess is explaining the ancient chronicles, and you’re yawning?!]
[Who falls asleep during class, lol.]
[Helperth’s brutal days as a Berserker to his appointment as a Paladin — every bit of it is gold.]
[I cried both from the top and bottom. 😭😭]
[Sniff sniff.]
[Mollu is so relatable right now. Honestly, it is kind of boring.]
[LMAO, I don’t care if Helperth was a Berserker or the No.1 Paladin.]
[If there was a skip button, I would’ve pressed it.]
[Let’s just go fight the dragon already.]
“Yeah, I’d like that toooo…”
I agreed with the few viewers who were just as bored as I was, stretching my arms with a quiet groan.
The “Minor Game Streaming Gallery” was abuzz with discussions about Dragon Road, the newly released hit game.
Posts were popping up all over the gallery as people tuned in to different streamers playing the game.
But among the sea of posts, one streamer’s name suddenly started dominating the gallery.
Mollu.
A streamer who started playing the game just five hours ago.
However, thanks to her undeniable skill, she was tearing through stages at high speed, already being mentioned as a strong contender for a fast run.
There were even a few posts speculating that Mollu could one-shot the boss dragon on her first attempt.
Then, something unexpected happened.
<Mollu enters hidden route ᄃᄃ>
Path: Volcano Trail > Left at the Fork > Defeated the Plague Doctor (Achievement Unlocked) > Entered the Temple > Defeated Event Boss Helperth > Changed Class to Paladin.
Currently, she’s listening to a world-building explanation from the goddess seen in the trailer. Progress is slow since there’s no skip option.
ᄋᄋ: Wait, this game has class changes?
Loo: I thought you just upgraded weapons and armor.
ᄋᄋ: Isn’t Mollu the first streamer to discover this?
[Nᄋᄋ: Yeah, she’s the first. No one overseas has taken this route either.]
[Nᄋᄋ: A lot of people made it to the Plague Doctor, but they couldn’t complete the challenge.]
[Nᄋᄋ: The challenge itself was hidden to begin with.]
[ᄋᄋ: I cried my eyes out listening to Helperth’s backstory. 😭😭]
[Nᄋᄋ: That’s wild.]
[Nᄋᄋ: It’s transgender gaming…]
[ᄋᄋ: Imagine not going the Berserker route, lol. Classic Mollu move.]
[roo: Berserker path denier identified.]
[Nᄋᄋ: Caught in 4K!]
<“Upload it.”>
(A picture of Mollu making a peace sign with her hand.)
A player who doesn’t fall behind, even when starting later than everyone else…
A player who crushes bosses and mobs alike…
A player who defeats every challenge on the first try…
A player who completes every hidden challenge without missing a beat…
A player who yawns while the goddess is delivering a grand, epic explanation of the lore…
“We always believed in you, GOAT.”
[ᄋᄋ: Kyaaa!]
[ᄋᄋ: Mollu! Mollu! Mollu! Mollu! Mollu! Mollu! Mollu!]
[ᄋᄋ: I’m so sick of these “Mollu fans” making a scene as if this forum is their personal playground.]
[Nᄋᄋ: LMAO.]
[Nᄋᄋ: They stay quiet when other streamers’ posts go up but suddenly flood in here.]
[Nᄋᄋ: If you’re mad, you know what to do.]
[Nᄋᄋ: 116.13 – Noted. They start freaking out every time a Mollu post appears.]
[Nᄋᄋ: The life of a superstar sure is exhausting.]
<Breaking News: Mollu’s viewership surpasses 50,000>
#1 Korean streamer on Switch, #1 in the Dragon Road category.
[oo: Even Dragon Road developer David Carlson is watching Mollu’s stream. 🤣🤣]
[Nᄋᄋ: What is happening?!]
[Nᄋᄋ: He even left a message during the Helperth fight, but it got buried because of the chat flood.]
[Nᄋᄋ: “This battle has great beauty and value.”
[Nᄋᄋ: He definitely used a translator to write that, lol. Cute.]
[oo: The story segment is finally over. Time to hunt the dragon.]
[Nᄋᄋ: Let’s gooo!]
“Man, that goddess sure talks a lot, right? Anyway, dodge here like this.”
Mollu was scaling the steep cliffs on her way to the dragon’s lair, located high in the mountains.
[Blasphemy.]
[She’s talking smack while dodging everything perfectly, lol.]
[A ton of players get wiped here, but she’s cruising.]
The sheer cliff face was nearly vertical, and each step brought falling boulders from above.
If even one of those boulders hit her, she’d get concussed, fall to the base of the cliff, and have to climb up from the beginning.
This is why this segment is known as the “Wall of Sorrow.”
Clack.
Her hand gripped the ledge at the top, and the warrior pulled herself up onto the summit.
Lying ahead was a large nest, lined with soft feathers, dry straw, and scattered animal bones.
At its center lay a massive egg.
Looking at it, Mollu muttered aloud:
“It’s just a bigger version of a bird’s nest. The egg too—”
Screeeeech!
The moment she stepped toward the nest, a piercing shriek echoed through the air.
It sounded like a warning, telling her not to approach any further.
Then came the sound of powerful wingbeats.
Thump-thump-thump.
The source of the cry revealed itself as it soared into view.
