My name is Li Qingchen, I am seventeen years old, and currently, I am a second-year high school student.
Just three days ago, my life was that of an ordinary student. I studied, occasionally exchanged banter, complained a little, and indulged in the usual antics of a chuunibyou. In essence, I lived a perfectly tranquil existence in this world.
Do protagonists truly exist in this world? If so, who are they? And for a person as utterly mundane as myself, in what world could I possibly be the main character?
Now, however, something extraordinary has happened around me.
And it all began with that girl, Ji Qianluo…
In the pervasive darkness, I slowly opened my eyes.
A familiar scene greeted my gaze. The pink ceiling, the soft, floral-patterned duvet, and the plush, expansive bed beneath me.
So it was true; I had returned to this place.
Lying in bed, I lifted my hand, examining it closely. It was far more delicate and slender than the hand I possessed as a boy, almost impossibly so—a veritable work of art.
My identity in this moment was no longer Li Qingchen, but Airi.
A sigh escaped me as this realization settled. It appeared I was destined to remain in this world for fifteen days. How was I ever going to endure such a prolonged stay?
And to make matters worse, as a girl!
To be frank, I had often fantasized about transmigrating to another world. I imagined mastering peerless martial arts, conquering empires, and amassing a vast harem. Indeed, I’d devoured countless transmigration anime and novels.
Yet, given my current predicament, world domination was the least of my concerns. How was I supposed to build a harem now? A yuri harem?
“Why can’t things ever go my way?”
I murmured, shaking my hands idly.
At that moment, the setting sun cast long, slanted rays into Airi’s—my—bedroom.
I stretched languidly on the bed, then pushed aside the duvet covering me and sat up.
I wondered if the Class Monitor was still in trouble. Surely Lin Yi, the butler, had successfully dealt with that Stocking Mask Leader?
Come to think of it, I had been shot earlier. It must have struck my abdomen.
Instinctively, I lifted the sheer nightgown I wore and glanced down at my stomach.
A second later, I flushed crimson and quickly pulled down the nightgown.
‘Damn it, avert your gaze! I didn’t mean to look!’
‘A flat stomach, and all that…’
‘I saw nothing!’
I vigorously shook my head, my dark red hair swaying behind me, dispelling the lingering, improper thoughts.
I found no gunshot wound on Airi’s body. This meant my original body must have been shot. I wondered if there would be any lasting issues.
So many things remained unresolved.
I sat on the bed in silence for a long time. Then, a series of barks from beneath the bed jolted me from my reverie.
Snapping back to reality, I peered under the bed.
A small dog, with vibrant fur, crouched by my bed, barking softly while blinking its eyes at me incessantly.
I gazed at the dog, a surprised eyebrow arching.
So, there were dogs in this world, too. But why hadn’t I seen this one last time?
Driven by curiosity, I got off the bed and leaned closer to examine it.
The dog seemed to have a natural affinity for me. Instead of recoiling, it suddenly extended its head and licked my face.
“Whoa!”
Startled, I stumbled back several paces.
The puppy regarded me with a peculiar look. It likely couldn’t comprehend why its usually affectionate owner was reacting so dramatically.
‘Of course I’m reacting like this; I’m not Airi! I have absolutely no fondness for dogs!’
As if sensing it had done something wrong, the dog suddenly turned, retrieved something from behind itself, and trotted over to me. It looked up, its eyes pleading.
“Hm? What is it?”
I slowly took the cloth-like object from the puppy’s mouth. The dog opened its jaw obediently, allowing me to retrieve it.
I held it before me and slowly unfurled it.
A piece of pink, triangular fabric was instantly revealed.
My lips immediately twitched.
“Pan—panties?”
