Seeing the person before her lost in thought, Xi Xue dropped her smile.
Ruobing’s question revealed that her heartfelt confession had only been half-heard, not truly absorbed.
In that instant, her heart plummeted, as if suddenly plunged into icy water.
It felt strange, and deeply uncomfortable.
It was the first time she had been so open with Ruobing, yet what about Ruobing?
If she could, she would have preferred to talk things through properly.
But Ruobing’s distracted demeanor, her mind clearly elsewhere, spoke volumes.
To deal with her, softness wouldn’t do.
A cold glint flashed in Xi Xue’s beautiful eyes, and her brows furrowed in annoyance.
Lan Ruobing was still lost in thought when a forefinger on her chest suddenly pressed down and moved.
She jolted, about to react, when two words rang out:
“Don’t move!”
The steady, powerful words instantly quelled Ruobing’s heart.
All her movements ceased involuntarily.
Beneath the commanding tone of those two words, emotions simmered.
Xi Xue was angry.
Before Ruobing could fully process it, the finger had already slipped into the valley between her breasts, yearning for the deeper parts—where it was fuller, larger, and softer.
“There… not there…”
Ruobing hesitated, finally voicing a cautious plea.
She watched, helpless, as the unstoppable finger stirred the soft, white expanse, yet she dared not move.
A profound, instinctual humiliation swelled within her, momentarily overriding her sheer terror.
But ultimately, she endured the entire ordeal with a sense of utter shame.
Xi Xue continued to slide and explore, completely ignoring her.
And Ruobing’s heart, as the deepest, fullest part was conquered, sank to rock bottom.
Humiliation spread throughout her body, leaving her numb and heartbroken.
Xi Xue glanced at Ruobing, then commented, “It feels like a calico cat’s belly—soft, warm, and smooth. However—”
The jade-like finger, having emerged from the valley, suddenly transformed into a firm grasp, seizing the plump mound.
“This is still more comfortable, so soft, full, and utterly satisfying.”
Xi Xue assessed freely, relishing Ruobing’s humiliated expression, while calmly observing her reactions.
She was doing this on purpose, wanting to see how Ruobing would react.
Ruobing’s distracted attitude had genuinely angered her.
But when Ruobing lifted her head and met her gaze with a questioning, indignant stare, Xi Xue knew Ruobing was now angry too.
A slight ripple stirred in Xi Xue’s heart, but she steeled herself and declared, “I confessed to you so honestly, yet you wouldn’t listen. So, I had no choice but to take a harder approach.”
Lan Ruobing felt bewildered and confused, but even more so, she felt humiliated and angry.
She didn’t want an explanation; she wanted a sincere apology.
She was not a toy, nor a s*ave.
No matter Xi Xue’s reasons, she had no right to act against her will.
Indeed, it was a strange sensation.
Being touched made her feel scared, wronged, and unlucky, yet she hadn’t actively resisted out of fear for her life.
But now, she felt a genuine flare of anger.
She loathed Xi Xue for disregarding her wishes, ignoring her pleas, and insisting on such a demeaning act.
She herself didn’t fully understand why she felt this way.
However, Lan Ruobing didn’t realize that her state of mind had already shifted the moment Xi Xue confessed; she was no longer just viewing Xi Xue as a monster, but as a person.
After Xi Xue’s forceful explanation, she waited for Ruobing’s reply or rebuttal.
To her surprise, Ruobing merely shot her a fierce glare, then silently fumed, unwilling to engage.
Feeling a pang of guilt, Xi Xue glanced at Ruobing several times, hesitating.
Her tone finally softened slightly.
“I’m sorry.”
And then, nothing more.
That single apology even startled Xi Xue herself.
Could she, the proud heir of her lineage, be the type of person to apologize like this?
Was this truly her character?
She even suspected she had been replaced.
Yet, being able to utter those three words, ‘I’m sorry,’ was already her absolute limit.
Lan Ruobing froze, looking up at Xi Xue in a daze, wondering if she had misheard.
But Xi Xue clearly wouldn’t repeat herself; her evasive gaze to the side said it all.
For some reason, in that moment, Lan Ruobing suddenly found this clumsy, awkward side of the terrifying Bloodkin unexpectedly endearing.
The overwhelming, paralyzing fear that had gripped her began to crack, replaced by a flutter of rebellious courage.
A thought bloomed in her mind: perhaps she didn’t have to be the terrified prey.
Ruobing’s dazed stare made Xi Xue uncomfortable.
She cleared her throat a few times, then looked at Ruobing and said, “Well then, I’ve apologized. Now, let’s discuss serious matters!”
As she spoke, she naturally cupped Ruobing’s chin, a charming smile returning to her lips.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
Lan Ruobing looked at the now-normal Xi Xue, shyly averted her face, and after a brief contemplation, asked, “I have a question: Do you like me, or do you like my body?”
Xi Xue chuckled, licking her lips.
She leaned close to Ruobing’s ear, her breath like orchids. “I… like… both.”
Having said that, she winked at Ruobing, her gaze growing increasingly playful and joyful.
Her dark, luminous eyes were filled with a triumphant gleam.
Lan Ruobing’s ears flushed crimson, realizing she had fallen into a trap.
She remained silent.
‘Damn that adorable act of Xi Xue’s just now,’ she cursed inwardly.
Her unconscious question had clearly shown her interest in Xi Xue, hadn’t it?
If she truly had no feelings, she should have refused outright.
“What’s wrong, Ruobing? You haven’t answered me yet. Is it a yes or a no?” Xi Xue turned Ruobing’s face back towards her, asking triumphantly.
Their faces were very close, her gaze lingering on Ruobing’s delicate pink lips.
“Can I say no?” Lan Ruobing retorted.
Xi Xue smiled, a smile like the sudden arrival of spring.
“No.”
She leaned in and kissed her, passionately and tenderly.
After a moment of bliss, she pushed Ruobing back onto the bed.
“Ruobing, I want you.” Xi Xue’s eyes, dark and glistening like spring water, were filled with fierce affection.
A beautiful blush colored her face, as if she were slightly tipsy, intoxicated by the moment.
“What?”
Ruobing froze, then quickly reacted, exclaiming, “No, my bottom is still incredibly sore from last night!”
“I know, but I’m so excited! I, I really, uhm… can’t control myself. Just bear with it, okay?”
Halfway through speaking, Xi Xue’s slender, pointed fangs emerged, her eyes turning blood-red.
She threw back the covers and pounced.
“Wait, no! Ow! It hurts! It hurts!”
Lan Ruobing tried to struggle, but Xi Xue had already captured her small feet.
Like a cat lifted by the scruff of its neck, Ruobing’s soft, bare feet instantly went limp, losing all resistance, and her entire body followed suit.
She wanted to struggle, but her body wouldn’t obey; she couldn’t muster any strength against the vampire’s overwhelming dominance.
Before long, the room filled with sounds of suppressed effort, soft and alluring, faintly accompanied by small, uncontrollable sobs.
