A New Transfer Student’s Unruly Entrance

Chapter 51 • 1,392 words • 12 min read

A cascade of purple hair, coupled with those unique golden eyes, made the girl stand out from the crowd.

She wore a pure yet vibrant blue and white JK sailor uniform, adorned with delicate white lace trim on either side of the collar. From a distance, her chest seemed to blossom like two night-blooming cereus, poised to unfurl.

Wei Yan had never imagined that this rundown school, within its tiny classroom, harbored such a refreshingly charming girl. She was in no way inferior to Shahu Wu.

Just gazing at her filled him with immense delight.

All his previous unpleasantness vanished, swept away by the breathtaking beauty before him. Wei Yan unconsciously licked his parched lips, only for his smile to abruptly freeze.

His expression turned grim, his small eyes widening. The girl, the object of his sudden adoration, had a flushed face and slightly parted lips, her gaze fixed on the boy at the neighboring desk with an expression of tender affection.

What left him even more dumbfounded was that the delicate-looking boy removed his school uniform and draped it across the space between them, obstructing the alluring sight of the girl.

Wei Yan felt an intense surge of jealousy towards that boy. His clothing appeared ordinary, yet he had such a captivating beauty as a deskmate—it was an absolute waste of a heavenly resource.

Snapping back to reality, Wei Yan loudly declared, “Teacher, I want to sit next to that mixed-race student!”

All my classmates turned to look at me. I understood Teacher Cang’s unspoken meaning perfectly. My family barely scraped by; we couldn’t possibly compare to these rich second-generation heirs. It was evident this new student was here for Chenxi, and I was merely a stepping stone.

Being singled out and told to move was incredibly humiliating. Just because my family lacked wealth, my seat could be arbitrarily reassigned? This gave me a different perspective on the world.

There was no fairness, no concept of ‘first come, first served.’ I could only blame my family’s poverty and the misfortune of sitting beside a beautiful girl. How I wished Teacher Cang would uphold a teacher’s righteousness, defying power and disregarding status.

But when I saw the smile on Teacher Cang’s face, my last shred of hope was extinguished. Teacher Cang, after all, was just an ordinary person. How could an ordinary person dare offend a powerful and wealthy scion?

Aside from glaring at Wei Yan and clenching my fists, I had no way to express the indignation in my heart.

Wei Yan walked directly over to my side, his leg twitching with a smug grin. “Beauties are only for the strong,” he sneered. “Get out of the way!”

I didn’t stand up, nor did I look at him. Wei Yan’s words pushed my disgust for him to its absolute peak. My eyes burned as I stared at the homeroom teacher, waiting to see what he would say.

“Jiu, please get up! He’s a new student, so let’s be understanding. If he wants to sit there, let him. You can still share a desk with your deskmate, just like before.”

Teacher Cang knew full well the thoughts of teenagers in puberty; boys all liked pretty girls and wanted to sit with them. Wei Yan had been personally introduced by the school leadership, so he had to save face. It was indeed a bit unfair to Jiu, and only by having Jiu share a desk with Chenxi could he assuage his inner guilt.

Teacher Cang’s words completely chilled my heart. I was merely an ant-like existence, yet the latter half of his statement utterly astonished me. Teacher Cang was actually letting me sit with Chenxi? This was entirely out of character for him.

“Alright,” I quickly moved all the items from my desk onto Chenxi’s. Chenxi was already sitting on my stool, and I was using the class monitor’s. The class monitor was still in the security office’s chair. Just as I hesitated whether to move the stool as well…

My clothes were gently tugged. Chenxi shifted her bottom to the side of the stool, creating half a space, and smiled sweetly, “If you don’t mind, sit here with me!”

“This…” Chenxi was dressed too lightly. If I sat with her, I couldn’t guarantee I’d be able to restrain my inner urges. My eyes barely dared to glance at her body. Regardless, I was still quite grateful to Chenxi. If she hadn’t opposed sitting with me at that moment, how awkward would that have been?

“Hey, you…” Wei Yan’s finger trembled as he pointed at Jiu, then at Teacher Cang. “How can you let a boy and a girl sit together? Does the school allow such intimacy between sexes? What about school rules and regulations? Teacher Cang, if you don’t give me a satisfactory explanation, I’ll tell the principal and have him remove you from your post!”

“Wei Yan, please speak with respect. You’re a new student, and we’ve all been accommodating. The seat you wanted has been given to you, so you should quietly act like a student. Other matters are not for you to manage. Don’t think that just because your family has some money, you can run wild in this school.

Let me tell you, including you, this is the fourth transfer student in my class. The previous three donated no less than two million, some even tens of millions, to the school. Do you think your father was truly so generous as to voluntarily donate money? I told the school when I took over this class that any transfer student entering this class must pay at least two million, or I’d pack my bags and leave.

If not for the principal’s sake, you wouldn’t have been allowed in for a single penny less. What’s more, you paid a million less to enter my class. If you’re a dragon, you’ll coil; if you’re a tiger, you’ll crouch.”

Teacher Cang’s usually cheerful demeanor vanished, replaced by a stern face and cold eyes. “You have three seconds to decide now: either sit down or get out!”

Wei Yan had never endured such humiliation. This insult was utterly impossible for him to swallow. He gritted his teeth furiously and sat down, fuming internally, ‘You bald old man, just you wait. I’ll complain to the principal after class. You’re dead!’

‘Damn it,’ I thought. ‘This Wei Yan submitted to Teacher Cang’s oppressive authority, forcing me to sit with Chenxi. I have no way out.’ So, with a hardened heart, I measured the stool and sat down on its very edge.

In truth, two people sharing one stool was incredibly uncomfortable. Nearly half of my backside was suspended in the air, and Chenxi was right beside me; I couldn’t possibly push into her space!

“Got it!” A brilliant idea suddenly struck me. Chenxi and I could just use one set of books. I placed a tall stack of books on the floor, then crouched down, arranging the books one by one against the edge of the stool.

Don’t let my middle school status fool you; the school-issued books were quite numerous, forming a stack nearly half a meter high. Just as I was about to make the stack as high as the stool, a faint clatter sounded, and I saw a black gel pen fall under the desk.

“Jiu, help me pick it up, please!” Chenxi playfully shook my shoulder.

“Oh!” I was about to reach out when a hand pressed down on my left shoulder.

A disdainful voice came from beside my ear: “Move aside. This is my deskmate. If her pen falls, it’s naturally my job to pick it up.”

I was about to retort when Teacher Cang roared, “Wei Yan, out!”

Wei Yan froze, releasing his grip on Jiu, and protested, “This girl’s pen fell on the floor. I was helping her pick it up. I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Immediately after, I heard footsteps like dumplings dropping into a pot, moving incredibly fast. Wei Yan was yanked to his feet.

“You bald old man, what are you doing?! Ahhh, no! I’m going to complain to the principal about you!”

As soon as I picked up the pen, I saw Wei Yan being dragged out by Teacher Cang, his neck clamped, and being reprimanded in the hallway.
