Observing the news, it seems that none of those girls who met with netizens ended well. However, Chloe is a magical girl and always has ways to protect herself, making it easy to deal with ordinary humans. Moreover, who can blame Tia for not paying much attention to this matter? Otherwise, Chloe wouldn’t have to place her hopes on a stranger she has never met.
[Tool Kit Fox: We can meet, but it should be in a place with lots of people. I don’t accept any secluded locations.]
[Cute Monster: No problem! Which city are you in?]
[Tool Kit Fox: G City.]
[Cute Monster: What a coincidence! I’m in G City too. How about we meet tomorrow at the city center square? It’s usually very crowded there, so you don’t need to worry.]
Is this coincidence too good to be true? Chloe suddenly got the idea to search online and found that post, and coincidentally, she found someone claiming to be able to treat the symptoms of magical transformation, who just so happens to be in the same city. If Chloe couldn’t imagine how such a coincidence could be manufactured, she might have thought it was some kind of conspiracy.
Is it necessary to be in such a hurry tomorrow? The main issue is that Chloe hasn’t figured out how to deceive Tia. Why is it deception? Because Chloe is certain that Tia would never allow her to do this, not out of protection, but out of an obsessive need to control. Sigh, unlike the typical controlling beautiful girls driven by excessive love, Tia’s control stems from hatred, a form of punishment similar to imprisonment. At least, that’s how Chloe currently feels.
While deeply contemplating a foolproof excuse, the girl sleeping beside her suddenly stirred. Chloe quickly turned off the screen and placed her phone back on the bedside table, pulling her head back under the covers to pretend to be asleep. Why do I feel like a bad girl sneaking around behind her girlfriend’s back? Her lips pursed slightly, and her face flushed a little.
Through the movement of the covers, Chloe felt the girl behind her getting up. After a moment of stillness, the skin on her neck and ears was caressed by a warm, moist breath, and a cool hand gently patted her body through the covers.
“Are you awake?” Tia’s sleepy voice came from behind.
“No…” Chloe replied, opening her eyes to glance up, only to find Tia’s beautiful face mere inches from her nose, almost startling her into a scream. Calming herself, Chloe timidly asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I just wanted to let you know that I have an appointment at 2 PM tomorrow. It’s the weekend, so you stay home, okay?”
“Okay…” Chloe answered, feeling guilty.
Tia remained in that strange position for a long time, her inscrutable purple eyes fixed on Chloe’s delicate face. “Be good, and I’ll take care of you,” Tia said cryptically before leaning down to gently lick Chloe’s earlobe, then returning to her spot to sleep.
Liars… No matter how good I am, I can’t escape the “punishment.” She just forced her way through because I didn’t cut my nails! Chloe silently scolded Tia, her face flushed and her wet earlobe almost dripping.
After hearing the slow, rhythmic breathing of the girl behind her, Chloe retrieved her phone again.
[Tool Kit Fox: I’m free after 2 PM tomorrow.]
[Cute Monster: You finally replied! I thought you didn’t believe me. Okay, let’s meet at 2:30 PM by the fountain in the city center square.]
Turning off her phone, Chloe nervously gathered the covers into a makeshift pillow. How nerve-wracking! This is my first time doing something behind Tia’s back… If she finds out, I’ll be punished severely… Yet, there’s an inexplicable anticipation! Of course, it’s anticipation for our meeting tomorrow.
At that moment, the girl behind her had her eyes tightly closed, her phone in her hand emitting a warm glow.
…
“I’m leaving. Stay home, okay?” The door slammed shut, followed by a series of clicks as it was locked.
“Was this really necessary?” Chloe looked disdainfully at the locked door. Hmph, who cares? I can just go out the window.
The first-floor windows were too small, so Chloe went back to the second floor, using a bit of magic. Her golden hair tips were covered in a silvery glow, and her golden eyes turned pink. Opening the window, she looked down at the three or four meters drop and without hesitation, climbed onto the windowsill and leaped out, landing lightly on the street below.
After canceling her transformation, Chloe opened her phone’s map app and set off towards the meeting point. The city center square wasn’t too far from her home, and she could reach it in half an hour on foot. On a weekend, the city center square was indeed crowded. Transforming in public would be difficult to handle, so it was best avoided.
Upon reaching the iconic fountain, Chloe stood on tiptoes, scanning the crowd. This was tough for Chloe; her height made it easy for her to be blocked by others. She searched for a long time but didn’t see the person she was looking for.
Suddenly, a hand gently patted her shoulder, accompanied by a fresh scent, and a pleasant voice sounded from behind.
“Hehe~ Are you Tool Kit Fox?”
Chloe turned around in surprise, and there before her was the beautiful black-haired girl from yesterday’s photo, now wearing a ponytail and a black short-sleeved shirt and shorts, standing against the sunlight with a confident aura.
“How did she recognize me? I only showed her a photo of my eyes, the pink ones from when I transform. And I wore a hoodie to hide this golden hair, which is too noticeable. I even covered my head with a hood to avoid being recognized by anyone who might cause trouble.”
“How did you recognize me?” Chloe looked at her suspiciously, her eyes serious.
The girl laughed and scratched her head, explaining coyly, “Because you were the only one looking around like you were searching for someone, and your hoodie was too conspicuous! It made you look like a little saint from the Middle Ages, standing out from everyone else.”
“Was it that obvious?”
“I just guessed. I didn’t expect it to be you! Little Fox is much cuter than I imagined! What luck! But your eyes don’t match the photo. Weren’t they supposed to be pink? Could it be that Little Fox is the one deceiving me?”
“I’m not deceiving anyone! And don’t call me Little Fox; I have a name.”
“Oh? What’s your name?”
“I can’t tell strangers.”
“Pfft~ Then I’ll just call you Little Fox. You can call me Anna.”
In the distance, a tall figure pushed through the crowd, standing under a tree, quietly watching the two from afar.
