Bai Que, seated at the wine table, was conversing with Su Han when his brow suddenly furrowed.
“Damn it,” he declared gravely. “Luo Shang is trapped in the Abyss Battlefield!”
“The Abyss Battlefield?” Su Han echoed, having naturally heard of it through her cultivation. “The passage connecting the Demon Abyss with the Aelta Continent?”
“I must leave now…”
“To rescue him?”
“How will you get there?”
“Lucybria has a branch of the Dark Temple,” Bai Que explained. “I can use it to teleport to the headquarters, then utilize their teleportation array to reach the Star Tear Battlefield.”
‘The Star Tear Battlefield, connecting to the Star Tear Abyss on the twenty-third layer of the great abyss?’ Su Han mused. “I’m coming with you,” she then declared.
“You would only be a burden there,” Bai Que stated. “The horrors of the Abyss Battlefield are far beyond your imagination. Spatial rifts are everywhere; one misstep and you could be sucked into an unknown layer of the abyss.”
Without another glance, Bai Que vanished from the space.
“You…” Su Han felt a mix of exasperation and amusement. What else could she say?
‘Ah, forget it,’ she thought. ‘Everyone has their own unique ideas, living as the protagonist of their own life, right?’
“Hey, Brother Fang, do you remember the Lucybria auction from a few years ago?”
“Of course I do. Why? Isn’t it held every three years? It just happened last year; don’t tell me it’s starting again already!”
“No, didn’t you hear? Prince Locks of Lucybria is privately hosting a s*ave auction today!”
“A s*ave auction, you say?” Brother Fang exclaimed. “Do you mean they’re capturing beautiful girls from the Elf or Fairy races, or even humans, to sell to the powerful?”
“Or perhaps it’s for those royal ladies with peculiar tastes, seeking male servants for their pleasure?”
“Exactly! Some slaves aren’t just beautiful; they possess great potential too, making them highly sought after by the elites!” The thin man beside Su Han chuckled lewdly.
“What do you say, should we go join the fun?” He continued to entertain his wild fantasies.
The thin man glanced around, ensuring no one was eavesdropping. “I hear there are even Saint-tier mage slaves,” he whispered. “Imagine the pleasure of having one as a maid!”
Brother Fang, however, showed a touch of foresight. “While I’d love to go, our status and position won’t grant us entry!”
“The s*ave auction is divided into an inner market and an outer market,” the thin man clarified. “With a bit of coin, commoners like us can still browse the outer market.”
“Though the slaves there might not be as stunning or as talented as those in the inner market, it’s still enough for some enjoyment, wouldn’t you agree?”
“You have a point, Old Wan. Let’s go!”
“Alright!” The two men departed in a hurry, eager to get there.
“Hey, wait a minute! You two gentlemen haven’t paid yet!” The shop assistant cried out, on the verge of tears.
‘Interesting. A s*ave market?’ Su Han materialized within the bustling market. ‘I’ve heard of such places, but this is my first time seeing one with my own eyes!’
Though located within Lucybria’s royal city, the s*ave market was tucked away in a remote, shadowy corner.
For nobles, possessing a beautiful s*ave was a mark of honor. Such slaves were pleasing to the eye, easy to command, and, more crucially, often powerful enough to serve as bodyguards.
Naturally, their prices were astronomically high.
The sources of slaves were diverse: some sold themselves, others were criminals, and many were ensnared by debt. As long as laws existed, there would always be those who found ways to trap others.
However, Locks exercised a degree of restraint, fearing that if his mother, the Queen, discovered his activities, he might find himself relegated to the cold palace.
A boisterous, portly man called out to Su Han.
“Excuse me, madam, are you looking for a male companion?” he bellowed. “Why not take a look at our selection? We have muscular and robust Beastfolk, or perhaps the handsome, delicate-looking Netherfolk. Do any of these pique your interest?”
Faced with such an audacious human who spared no one, Su Han coldly retorted, “Get lost!”
Seeing Su Han’s temper, the boss mistakenly took her for a noble lady. He could only offer an awkward smile, daring not to speak further.
Su Han wandered through the market, observing numerous slaves. Most visitors were commoners with a little money to spare.
The slaves in the outer market were generally unremarkable, lacking significant strength and offering little value. Su Han also noticed the complete absence of the rumored Elf or Fairy races.
All she saw were cheap Beastfolk and Netherfolk, with even humans being a rare sight.
The moment Su Han stepped into the inner market, she was assailed by boisterous shouts. “Come one, come all! Fairy maidens, on sale now!”
“Hmph, your Fairy maiden only has a third-tier bloodline!” another voice scoffed. “She’s no match for my Elf maiden, who has awakened a fifth-tier bloodline!”
“Hey, hey, are you two idiots?” A strikingly handsome man approached Su Han, speaking to her discreetly. “Are you really trying to sell female servants to a young lady?”
“Actually, I have male Fairy slaves with six-tier bloodlines, and Elf youths with five-tier bloodlines. If you prefer humans, I have those too!”
Su Han’s pupils narrowed into a deadpan stare. “No… no need!” she stammered awkwardly.
“Oh? Could it be that Miss prefers ladies?” he probed. “I have something here that might interest you. Would you care to take a look?”
His words piqued Su Han’s curiosity. “Alright,” she replied. “What might it be?”
“This way, please, madam!”
“Damn it, that guy stole our business again!” The two other vendors grumbled indignantly.
“Forget it,” one sighed. “What can you do when he’s Prince Locks’ close friend?”
“When you’re under someone else’s roof, you have no choice but to bow your head!”
As they spoke, a woman was revealed within an iron cage. Her figure was utterly devilish, with ample curves—precisely the type Su Han found appealing.
A sheer veil draped over her body, faintly revealing delicate, smooth skin. Its transparency highlighted her slender waist.
This ‘golden house’ concealed a woman so soft and supple, with long, pale arms and legs, that even Su Han felt a surge of excitement.
The woman’s physique was indeed exceptional. The young boss enthusiastically extolled her virtues, noting her youth—a fact apparent to anyone.
“Did you know,” he continued, “she possesses the bloodline of an Abyss Demon? And, she’s still a virgin, making her the perfect choice for a lady who prefers ladies!”
“If that’s truly the case, why haven’t you claimed her yourself?” Su Han asked, a knowing smile playing on her lips. “Any normal man would find it impossible to resist, wouldn’t they?”
“Well, to be frank, madam,” he confessed, “I actually prefer… men!”
“Pfft, hahahahahaha!”
“Please don’t laugh, madam,” he pleaded. “We are kindred spirits, aren’t we? You, a woman who likes women; I, a man who likes men—it’s essentially the same, isn’t it?”
How could Su Han possibly tell him she had originally been a man who transformed into a woman? ‘Wait, did I almost get turned gay?’ she wondered.
“Still, I’m quite curious,” Su Han mused. “With so many people here, why did you only show me this hidden treasure?”
“Because, madam, you possess something I desire!”
“Something you desire?” Su Han asked, puzzled. ‘What could I possibly have on me?’
“The blueprint for the Sky-Rifter!”
“Hm? The blueprint? You mean…” Su Han trailed off, retrieving the blueprint she had acquired from the stone chamber not long ago.
“Yes, that’s it!” The young boss was visibly thrilled, barely suppressing the urge to snatch it from Su Han’s grasp.
“Can you tell me more about the Sky-Rifter?” Su Han asked, turning to conceal the blueprint behind her back.
“This… alright,” the young man sighed slowly. “The Sky-Rifter is unlike ordinary mechs. While typical Emperor-tier mechs require an Emperor-tier mech pilot to operate, the Sky-Rifter can become a fully autonomous Emperor-tier mech if a living soul is imprisoned and sealed within it. It’s similar to the legendary puppets…”
“That’s all I know,” he concluded with a long breath. “By the way, my name is Ziyao. What’s yours?”
“Su Han.” She tossed the blueprint to Ziyao. “I’ll take this succubus!”
For Su Han, possessing a divine-tier mech of infinite potential, there was no need to waste time and effort crafting an eccentric Emperor-tier mech.
Ziyao dispelled his illusion and awakened the sleeping succubus. Gesturing towards Su Han, he instructed, “From now on, you will follow her!”
The succubus, unsure of what to say, simply nodded obediently.
Su Han gently stroked the succubus’s small head. Feeling the creature’s docile and tender nature, her heart instantly melted.
“If you don’t wish to stay,” she offered, “I can grant you your freedom and let you go.”
“I… I have no home,” the little succubus whispered, tears welling up in her large, pitiful eyes. “I don’t even have a name…”
“Alright then,” Su Han said softly. “You can follow me from now on. I’ll call you Yudao Shen Shihan!”
“Bang!” The ground trembled violently, and the entire market rumbled, swaying as if struck by an earthquake. Fortunately, it did not collapse.
“Damn it!” Ziyao’s face paled, and he rushed away.
At that very moment, a voice rang out: “A beast tide is attacking outside Lucybria City! The s*ave market is closing immediately. Everyone, please evacuate swiftly!”
Prince Locks, clad in white, hovered in mid-air, his voice laced with urgency.
Once the crowd dispersed, a faint smile played on Locks’ lips as he headed deeper into the market.
“Hm? I finally found you!” Su Han’s figure flickered, and she swiftly followed him.
