The birthday banquet was a resounding success.
Why? The ministers and nobles met their beloved Empress and princesses, strengthening ties with the royal family.
Felicia won her sister’s heart through the event. Karina secured the loyalty of the aristocracy and regained her once-obedient daughter.
Everyone got what they wanted—except Selina, who exhausted herself playing the perfect lady princess!
But that was a jest.
By willingly engaging with the elves as a princess, Selina had truly accepted her elven identity and her family’s intentions.
With the banquet’s flawless conclusion, the elves’ lingering estrangements dissolved.
After the event, the Crystal Hall was thoroughly cleaned. Standing in the sunset, Felicia’s face radiated genuine ease.
Only in the palace, at home with her mother and sister, could she relax so fully.
Outside, she had to resume her role as the impeccable, stoic elven princess and student council president.
Holding Felicia’s warm hand, Selina sensed her sister’s subtle emotional shift and looked up at her face in the fading light.
“Sister, are you leaving?”
Though she hadn’t fully reverted to the clingy “Big Sister” title, calling Felicia “sister” was significant progress.
Felicia turned, smiling softly at her shorter sister.
“How did you know?”
“I overheard you and Velansel talking about packing and preparing—words you’d only say before leaving.”
Selina’s gaze was calm, fixed on the vibrant garden.
After days of emotional bonding, she could face her family with peace.
Honestly, Felicia’s departure stirred a pang of reluctance in her heart.
Reflecting on their recent time together, Selina understood why her pre-memory self adored her sister. Who could resist such a gentle, wise, generous, and beautiful elven sister?
More importantly, this sister genuinely cared for her.
“Yes, it’s almost time. My leave from the academy is nearly up. If I don’t return soon, student council duties will pile up,” Felicia said candidly, unwilling to keep secrets from her sister.
“What, reluctant to see me go?” she teased, lowering her head with a playful smile.
Felicia’s time with Karina had honed her charm, and she wielded it exclusively on her sister—a fact Selina found exasperating.
Having been teased so much, Selina had built some resistance. This time, she only flushed slightly, turning away before quickly recovering.
“Self-obsessed much? I’m not begging you to stay!”
Her classic tsundere retort widened Felicia’s grin.
She hadn’t expected her once-lively sister to become such an adorable, prickly girl after regaining her memories.
No matter. As Karina taught, sincerity tames tsundere. With enough honesty, Felicia was sure she’d one day melt Selina into a cuddly kitten.
She couldn’t wait for that day.
“Alright, alright, whatever you say,” Felicia chuckled. “But I can’t stay longer this time. If you miss me, write. I’ll keep every letter and reply promptly.”
Another direct hit left Selina blushing fiercely. As a lifelong bachelor in both lives, she had no defense against such straightforward attacks, her face burning each time.
Hadn’t Felicia been less direct before? This felt like Karina’s style. Could personality and approach be inherited?
Selina fretted, feeling increasingly seen through by this mother-daughter duo.
A sense of crisis grew—she needed to head to Tianqi Academy sooner.
After dinner, Felicia, needing to return to school, didn’t linger in Selina’s room.
Cuibis stood guard at the door, leaving Selina alone.
On her soft princess bed, Selina pondered her plans.
Felicia would leave by the day after tomorrow, and Selina would likely head to Tianqi Academy in two weeks, when the academy’s annual admissions began.
Tianqi Academy was a near-unattainable peak for commoners.
As Seraris Continent’s top academy, it had produced the first human to ascend to godhood.
Its students were either imperial nobles, holy children, or tribal royalty. Only the most gifted village prodigies had a slim chance.
This was why the recommendation letter Selina secured for Litiya was so valuable—its auction value would’ve been astronomical.
But now, she didn’t need to worry. Her title as an elven princess carried immense weight. And if that failed, Karina would intervene.
Having the Elven Kingdom’s backing made everything easier.
Karina had slipped her the Tianqi Academy recommendation letter on her birthday night, now tucked in the bottom drawer of her vanity.
With it, she’d enter the academy in two weeks, guaranteed.
But Selina didn’t plan to use her princess status. The letter was insurance; she intended to hide her identity, enrolling as an ordinary girl through the standard process.
With her body’s talents, it shouldn’t be difficult.
Lying comfortably, gazing at the crystal bracelet on her wrist, Selina imagined her academy life.
It would be her first time as a student in this world. She was excited—how could she not be? The academy taught magic and alchemy, not math or languages. It promised a novel journey, yet her elven intuition hinted at an unquiet experience.
She vaguely sensed meeting familiar faces at the academy. Besides her apprentice and Felicia, who else could it be?
“Forget it. I’ll avoid trouble when I get there.”
With that, the elven girl rolled playfully on her plush bed, her silk-clad legs crisscrossing gleefully in the air.
