[Guild/Beta: Wow, Patch-nim!!!! Come here!!! Here!!!!]
‘Still not sober, this one.’
PatchNote, who had entered voice chat, slowly spoke with a half-twisted tongue, and the surrounding reactions subsided.
– Uh… I, cough, ahem, just a moment… I’m a bit out of it…
– Are you okay? Um… maybe you should just go in and rest…
– I know, right. He’s still not sober.
‘Indeed.’
‘I appreciate the thought, but in that state, it seems more helpful for him to just go in and sleep.’
“Go in and sleep.”
– Ah, no. It’s okay… hyung. I can, do it…
‘You can’t. You can’t.’
‘You need to be sober to do anything; what can you do when you’re half-asleep?’
– Is he really okay? He doesn’t look okay?
– Uh… I didn’t know he was that bad either. Hey, you just go! Go sleep!
– I-it’s, ahem, okay…
PatchNote, controlling his character stiffly with a dazed voice, abruptly unleashed area-of-effect skills towards where the enemy guild members were gathered.
The scene of him pouring out 100% pure area-of-effect skills repeatedly until his MP ran out was a spectacle… no, a magnificent sight.
“Seriously… this game’s balance is utterly garbage…”
‘It really makes you lose your appetite for gaming.’
Each time brilliant effects exploded, the enemy team’s DPS line was swept away.
If one popped out, he knocked them back with a crowd control skill, then used an area-of-effect skill again.
‘He must have blurred vision from all the alcohol, so I don’t know how he managed to see the ones running to avoid the ground effects.’
– No, um, other Battle Mages don’t do that, so what did that guy do to be like that?
– If I had to say… overwhelming cash spending?
– Wow… how much money did he spend…? It’s incredibly disheartening, but I feel refreshed.
‘I know, right.’
‘It feels refreshing.’
Even if the damage of the area-of-effect skills themselves was a bit lower, because they fell consecutively, the enemy team was clearly in disarray.
‘I wonder if all the money I’ve spent on microtransactions couldn’t even compare to PatchNote’s little toe?’
Checking the accumulated victory points, I encouraged the guild members and launched a full-scale attack.
With reliable DPS from the rear, the front line became much easier to move.
– My… MP… is all used up…
– Why are you saying it so wistfully…
A hollow laugh involuntarily escaped me, hearing PatchNote’s voice, which sounded not just weak but even wistful.
‘Indeed, area-of-effect skills consume an enormous amount of MP, so it was about time his MP ran out.’
“It’s okay. Their front line is disrupted now, so we can push them at this moment.”
I didn’t wait for a reply.
Leading the charge with the tanks, I confirmed that the enemy team’s front line had retreated somewhat, then immediately turned around and targeted the healers with low HP.
It was only natural that as the healer line was cut down, the tanks holding the front line fell back.
However, ‘they’re also being… ridiculous, you could say.’
At this level of disparity, they should just declare defeat and end it, but they charge madly as if they were zombies.
When they die, they revive and charge, and when they die again, they revive again and charge again.
I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the same guy.
‘Does this guild war even have any meaning? Please add some death penalties. Otherwise, they just become zombies and keep coming.’
“What are they doing? Do they think they’re some kind of immortal legion? They just keep reviving, so they don’t feel any pressure, right?”
[Guild/Beta: ImmLOLOLOLOLOrtal LOLOLOLOLegion LOLOLOLOL.]
“Say it out loud, why are you typing in chat?”
[Guild/Beta: The neighbors came over complaining about the noise… hehe.]
‘Oh… really?’
‘So why didn’t you keep it in moderation then?’
While I scanned Beta noona’s chat with sympathetic eyes, RunawayTrain’s victory points reached 10,000.
This useless guild war would soon be over.
Eventually, the guild war concluded with PatchNote, who had rested briefly and refilled his MP, unleashing a barrage of area-of-effect skills towards the enemy team.
Looking at the words ‘Guild War Victory,’ which felt somewhat empty, I involuntarily let out a lament.
“Gaming… is all about cash spending.”
I don’t want to enjoy it by spending that much money; I’m seriously considering switching to another game.

After the guild war ended in a one-sided massacre, Beta noona excused herself for a moment, saying she would talk to the opposing guild master separately.
She left with the words that she was glad it ended amicably, at least.
‘Is this what you call an amicable ending? A massacre just occurred.’
– Our allies are running wild!
– Master of the Battlefield!
“Don’t say things like that out loud.”
‘It’s embarrassing to be with you.’
Regardless of what happened, at least one thing was over.
I let out a soft breath and exited the voice chat room.
I had worked so hard my fingers hurt, so I needed to rest now.
Thus, I entered a dungeon.
[Guild/PotteryMaster: ?]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: SoonToDie-nim, didn’t you say you were going to rest?]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: I am resting.]
[Guild/OneHitForTheLord: Gamer…]
‘Why?’
‘It’s not even hard content; I’m just running normal dungeons, isn’t this enough rest?’
‘Doesn’t everyone usually do that?’
[Guild/DontOrderMe: Usually, when hard content is over, people rest in normal dungeons.]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: No, they don’t. They usually turn off computer games and rest by playing mobile games.]
[Guild/RetirementWish: No, that’s not right. They do other things, then think, ‘Should I take a short break?’ and then play games.]
[Guild/PotteryMaster: Argh…..]
‘Everyone’s pretty similar, huh.’
I tried my best to ignore the banter between the two guild members and continued running the dungeon.
Socket items frequently dropped in this dungeon, so I had to run it periodically.
I hammered the keyboard as if to break it, running the same dungeon over and over.
‘How many runs did I do?’
‘Why… isn’t it dropping…?’
No matter how many times I ran it, it wouldn’t drop.
It was an item with a low drop rate to begin with, but this was getting ridiculous.
I had been running a dungeon that took about 10 minutes per run for 3 hours, which meant about 18 runs, and I had only gotten one.
“This f-cking crap…”
‘It must be one of those days where things just don’t stick.’
I couldn’t help it.
I was about to go to sleep to clear my head, when I paused, seeing Beta noona’s chat appear.
[Guild/Beta: I’M SOOOO MAD.]
[Guild/RetirementWish: What’s going on????]
[Guild/Beta: That bastard still has no intention of ending things amicably~~~]
[Guild/Beta: Right, I have my pride as a man, so I don’t expect an apology.]
[Guild/Beta: My fellow members,,,, I hope you’re not all asleep,,,,? It seems we’re going to have another war,,,,^^777]
‘What is this now?’
‘Wasn’t this problem resolved a long time ago?’
[Guild/DontOrderMe: Why this time?]
[Guild/Beta: I don’t know, damn it. Hanbit Guild Leader’s friend or whatever is the guild leader of another guild, and they’re going to declare war.]
[Guild/DontOrderMe: What?;; Guild wars are outsourced;;;;]
[Guild/OneHitForTheLord: So we’re fighting again? What are they, a warrior race?]
[Guild/Beta: So annoyingㅠㅠ]
I tapped my desk with my fingertips, lost in thought for a moment.
All of our guild members were adults, and many of them were office workers, so almost no one was logged in until early morning.
This was because everyone had to go to work early in the morning, unless it was the weekend.
At most, there was me and Beta noona?
That noona really played games every single day without fail.
Moreover, PatchNote, who could be called our guild’s greatest asset, seemed to have passed out as soon as the guild war ended, as he was AFK, not moving from that spot.
YearRoundNoRest was also away from keyboard.
[Guild/DontOrderMe: We’re short on numbers, aren’t we? When are they planning to declare war?]
[Guild/Beta: I don’t know,,,, they’ll declare it whenever they want,,,,]
[Guild/Beta: I’m jealous,,, Hanbit Guild Leader,,,, he can run to his friend and whine,,,,^^]
[Guild/Beta: How can some,,,, people,,,, live,,,, without friends,,,,^^]
My fingertips, which had been typing on the keyboard, paused for a moment.
‘Friend, friend…’
‘Asking a friend for help…’
‘Should I ask Moon Young-yoon?’
Even if I couldn’t drag the entire Hollister guild in, I could probably bring Moon Young-yoon and Choi Young-soo, couldn’t I?
I subtly pulled out my phone and sent a message to the group chat that included Moon Young-yoon, Choi Young-soo, and other classmates.
[Moon Young-Nom]
[Moon Young-Nom: Y.]
‘Seriously, it’s a group chat, not a private message, but he replies so quickly.’
Still, he only sent that one letter.
‘Is typing that annoying?’
I quietly clicked my tongue, but decided to console myself with the fact that his reply was relatively quick.
[Our guild war broke out, can you guys be helpers?]
[Moon Young-Nom: ?]
[Moon Young-Nom: How do you helper?]
[Choi Young-soo: He means PK activation.]
[Moon Young-Nom: What do you mean?]
[Choi Young-soo: What it means is…]
What Choi Young-soo told me was a bug I had never heard of since playing Frisia.
I let out a hollow laugh and reconfirmed with him, but he replied that he had used it in a friendly match before.
This meant that the bug Choi Young-soo mentioned was actually usable.
“‘F-cked up game…’”
‘Why are there so many bugs?’
Guild wars might be a recent addition, but they should fix the initial bugs even now.
While grumbling, I requested help from the two of them until I received a positive answer, and I was assured that they would help if the guild war happened when they had time later.
‘If I had known this, I would have made more acquaintances.’
‘Being an outcast really bites me in the ass like this.’
A wave of disappointment washed over me as I looked at PatchNote’s character, who was still AFK.
If PatchNote had been sober and awake, I would have encouraged him to stir up public opinion on the free board with his aggro… then they wouldn’t have waged a second war by begging others like this.
‘Should I just try it myself?’
If I were to follow the methods he had used so far, it might be possible.
If I wrote it more seriously than when I was suspected of using hacks before… no, if I wrote the post exactly like PatchNote would, I thought the reaction would be good.
And so, I stayed up all night, starting to write the post with wide-open eyes.
‘Let’s just give it a try.’
