No matter how much they walked, the destination remained unseen.
Due to the rugged terrain, the warrior party had no choice but to wander in circles, eventually deciding to spend the night in a cave they found along the way.
The cave’s interior was rather deep.
They lit a fire with the firewood they had prepared in advance and began getting ready to spend the night.
Among them, Laura’s role was to set up a barrier to guard against potential dangers.
Since they were in the elves’ domain, not a single detail could be overlooked.
“Perverted woman, perverted woman, perverted woman!”
Outside, the weather was freezing, but their gear had warming enchantments.
Thanks to Laura’s magic, the inside of the cave was warm enough that they needed to take off their coats.
While sitting in the warm cave, Laura started replaying the events from the afternoon in her mind.
Sera and the warrior were far away, and most sounds could be easily blocked out.
Throwing pebbles around, Laura allowed herself to raise her voice as much as she wanted.
A corset belt that naturally emphasized her chest.
A white shirt that would undoubtedly become see-through when soaked with sweat.
She had tried to cover it all with a black poncho, but it was obvious what she was thinking.
After all, those clothes were meant to seduce the warrior.
Laura regretted not realizing this sooner, especially after the incident at the capital where Sera had worn dog ears with a silly, bashful grin.
Love changes people.
Sera, who once seemed completely oblivious to anything sexual—who, until just a few months ago, claimed she had no interest in the warrior—was now openly trying to seduce him.
Laura regretted saying those heartfelt words to Sera that day.
“‘Make sure to use protection’? What was I even thinking?”
Unbuttoning her shirt to reveal her black underwear.
Playfully whining and subtly catching the warrior’s attention.
Laura could understand those actions.
After all, it was Laura herself who had once snuck into the warrior’s bedroom naked.
She didn’t even mind sharing the warrior’s affection with Natalia or Sera.
Wasn’t it Laura herself who first suggested the idea of a harem?
Back then, she had been so sure she would become the warrior’s main love interest.
Though she still agreed with Sera’s suggestion, everything changed after hearing those words.
“Ah, but make sure to use protection, okay? Hehe…”
Laura hadn’t missed a single word Sera said.
For a mage like Laura, such things were trivial to overhear.
She had caught every word Sera whispered to Natalia, from supporting the idea of a harem to stating that while everything else was fine, having a child was off-limits.
“I liked him first…”
It irritated her.
She loved the warrior dearly.
She would have been happy to bear his child, but whenever Sera’s words echoed in her mind, she couldn’t bring herself to act on her feelings.
That single moment, when Sera had said with an oddly serious expression, “No pregnancies,” stuck with her.
Was Sera implying that the warrior’s first child would be hers and that the others should be content with just sharing his affection?
Laura couldn’t shake the thought that Sera had grown too arrogant after spending just one night with the warrior.
“There’s no way she’d actually… kill, right?”
Even as she muttered this, Laura couldn’t stop thinking about Sera’s firm warning about protection.
It felt as though becoming pregnant would lead to her belly being cut open.
Despite having grown up in the Holy Kingdom and lacking certain knowledge, Laura realized anew how dangerous it was to learn things late.
“Laura… do you think she hates me?”
“Natalia?”
Laura’s voice trembled.
The normally confident Natalia stood before her, looking utterly dejected.
Her usually bold demeanor was nowhere to be found, and she seemed like a frightened cat that had fled before the fight even started.
“It’s okay, Natalia. It’s just a bluff. What right does that exhibitionist have to boss us around?”
“No, you didn’t hear it. That chilling voice… if I even think of getting pregnant, I’m sure she’ll…!”
“Sigh, Natalia…”
Natalia looked completely broken.
Though Laura believed Natalia would return to her usual self by morning, she couldn’t shake the thought that seducing the warrior might now be impossible for her.
“Sniff… I thought I’d finally gotten her permission…”
“You did. Just not for the baby part.”
As much as Laura hated to admit it, Natalia and the warrior had been intimate first.
The warrior wanted to take responsibility for that, which forced Sera to accept their relationship.
Sera likely agreed because she was confident she wouldn’t lose the warrior to them.
That damn woman.
An exhibitionist with nothing but lewd thoughts in her head.
What kind of night had she spent with the warrior to gain such confidence?
As Laura comforted Natalia, she vowed to tempt the warrior even more after tonight.
“Ugh, I almost died from sheer frustration.”
“It must’ve… been really hard for you?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, of course. Pretending to be nice is exhausting.”
“Pretending to be nice… what do you mean?”
In the dark cave, I lit a fire with the supplies we had prepared and was getting ready to spend the night with Sera.
I pulled out various preserved foods and sleeping bags from my bag.
Noticing that Natalia and Laura had disappeared, Sera wrung out her wet clothes, which had become damp from the melting snow.
I had no idea where to look as she did this.
Was she unaware of how revealing her actions were?
Or was this some kind of signal?
Considering the strange tension from the afternoon, it was hard to believe it was the former.
But the latter didn’t make sense in this situation either.
What was Sera’s true intention?
As I struggled with this question, I recalled what she had said during the festival.
The story about hiding a golden fish candy because she didn’t want to share it with her friends, only to get scolded in the end.
Sera had declared herself to be so greedy that once she claimed something as hers, she never gave it up.
I hadn’t heard the last thing she whispered to Natalia, but I could guess Sera resented the fact that Laura and Natalia had been intimate with me first.
Although we hadn’t explicitly agreed to a relationship, the way things were developing felt like a silent affirmation.
“Shouldn’t you think more carefully about your relationship with Laura and Natalia?”
“Why the sudden question?”
“Because I only want to focus on one person. Taking responsibility is important, but having multiple relationships doesn’t feel right.”
No matter the reason, I had already been intimate with Laura and Natalia.
In this world, a first relationship was significant, not something to be dismissed as a game.
While I needed to take responsibility as Sera said, if it made her uncomfortable, wouldn’t it be better for me to bear the criticism?
At my suggestion, Sera raised her voice.
“Are you crazy? You should’ve handled this better from the start! What do you expect me to do now?”
“Sera…”
“No, never mind. I’ll handle it. You know as well as I do that pure love isn’t possible in this world.”
She was right.
Laura was a princess, and Natalia came from a noble family.
After taking their firsts, I had to take responsibility.
But coming from a modern Korean mindset, polygamy was difficult to accept, even for me.
If I struggled with it, how could Sera possibly accept it?
That was the part I couldn’t understand.
“Sera, don’t you feel uncomfortable with polygamy?”
“Why? If a man can have everything, isn’t that even better?”
It was strange.
No matter how I thought about it, Sera’s words didn’t seem like they came from a normal perspective.
I started to wonder if she had lost significant portions of her memory.
