Chapter Six

“Speak, who permitted you to enter my room?”

At this moment, the sweet smile that had graced Kristia’s face moments ago had vanished.

Only a pair of icy eyes stared coldly at Lisbeth, as if her mere gaze could freeze her solid. Witnessing this, Lisbeth frantically shook her head.

“W-well… I just thought it wasn’t good for the Demon Lord to still be asleep at this hour, so I volunteered to wake you!”

“Call me to wake up? That was you ‘waking me up’? You dared to impersonate my mother just now. Do you not realize that I could beat you half to death for that alone? Hero Alex—no, Lisbeth!”

“No, no, no! That’s not it! I didn’t mean to do it! It was because you kept rubbing against my soft chest, all while calling me ‘Mother,’ so I just went along with it…”

Boom!!

Waaahhh!!!

Before Lisbeth could even finish her sentence, a pitch-black orb of light violently slammed into the spot where she had just been standing.

Fortunately, her reaction was swift; otherwise, that single blow would have been enough to cripple her.

“Who would rub against your vulgar chest, you say?! Don’t think you’re so great just because your chest is big now. When I grow up, mine will definitely be as magnificent as Mother’s!”

“No, no, no, that’s impossible. I can stake my reputation on it: even after two hundred years, your chest will absolutely not grow at all. Ah…”

“…”

The moment Lisbeth’s words faded, she watched as Kristia suddenly fell completely silent.

Simultaneously, a terrible premonition of impending disaster filled Lisbeth’s entire being, making her whole body, including her fluffy fox tail, tense up completely.

“Lisbeth…”

“Ah! Yes!”

Perhaps influenced by Kristia’s terrifying silence, Lisbeth immediately straightened her posture when her name was called, not daring to utter a single superfluous word.

Alas, it was already too late for such an attitude. Kristia’s face was now adorned with another breathtaking smile.

Yet, the words that followed nearly scared Lisbeth’s very soul right out of her body.

“Lisbeth, you just stand there obediently, okay~? I’m going to go cut off your vulgar chest right now!!”

“Waaahhh!!!! Help!!!! The Demon Lord’s murdering someone!!!”

“Stop right there! You damned big-breasted fox!!!”

The instant Kristia finished speaking, Lisbeth bolted from Kristia’s room in a desperate dash.

Naturally, Kristia, now completely enraged, would not let Lisbeth off so easily; she took a deep breath and immediately gave chase.

****

“Lisbeth! What have you done now—”

“Old hag, get out of the way! I’m going to be killed!!!”

The moment Lisbeth burst out of Kristia’s room, she immediately spotted Hilda, who had apparently been standing outside the door.

However, Lisbeth was too busy fleeing for her life. After swerving around Hilda, she simply dashed through the Demon Lord’s Castle hall.

“W-what in the world is going on!?”

Just as Hilda stood utterly bewildered by the situation, Kristia, too, rushed out of the room.

She then addressed Hilda, “Hilda, you’ve arrived at just the right moment. Now, I want you to initiate a city-wide hunt for that damned big-breasted fox. I’m going to cut off her chest today! That’s all!”

“Huh?”

Having given her orders to Hilda, Kristia continued her relentless pursuit, following the path Lisbeth had taken in her escape.

Meanwhile, Hilda, the Head Maid, remained frozen in place, utterly perplexed, unsure of what to do.
