Upon closer inspection, the intricate patterns etched onto her eyes, as delicate as a mosquito’s wing, seemed to attest to her mastery over the truths of observation and record-keeping.
Disproportionate to her petite frame, her attire exuded an ethereal grace and beauty.
She clutched a slender book in her hands, draped in a voluminous azure cloak.
Beneath the flowing cloak, a translucent grey-white gauze dress enveloped her form.
Only her shapely calves and fair, delicate feet were partially revealed.
This ensemble made her appear as a wounded soul, swathed in layers of bandages to conceal skin marred by scars.
Naturally, this was merely a ruse, for a perfect vessel crafted by the God of Dust could never bear flaws.
Her true purpose was to prevent her power from inadvertently leaking and causing havoc in reality.
“They always claim the God of Dust is a humble and fearless entity, but they aren’t me, so how can they make such sweeping judgments? My true nature is utterly arrogant.
Had circumstances not forced my hand, I would have long since overthrown those imbeciles.”
Gloria’s form flickered with increasing speed, her words tumbling out much faster.
“It’s all the fault of those damnable bastards who forged the Laws of Reason.
Adhering to the principle of using an immortal until they’re dead, they’ve been draining my soul, wringing me dry! Four entire Starfield cycles, just idly watching the Starfield’s evolution, utterly powerless.
Every ounce of my computational power has been devoted to refining the Starfield’s history, predicting its future, and bolstering the enforcement of the Laws of Reason.
Furthermore, one of my truths was used to create the Ruin Realm, designed to annihilate my former people.
How utterly tragic! My own power has been weaponized to strengthen my enemies.
Whoever devised such a punishment is no human; they are a beast!”
The moment Gloria spoke, her previous image of rational wisdom vanished without a trace.
Like a shrew, she cursed the Laws of Reason in various tongues, her words seething with such fury and hatred that it seemed nothing short of tearing the Laws of Reason to shreds, limb from limb, would ever appease her.
“But this eternal torment, this endless shackle of suffering, is about to reach its conclusion.”
Before the boundary, she held her hands before her eyes, framing it, and with a sharp ‘click,’ froze the Immaculate Realm in an instant.
In the next moment, the plane inverted, and her tiny form appeared beyond the boundary of the Ruin Realm.
Raging purple lightning and several descending white auroras formed an impassable forbidden zone.
Beneath this, dormant chaos and restless void lurked, poised to devour any entity audacious enough to attempt crossing them.
This was the restriction imposed upon Gloria by the Limiters, those who wielded the Laws of Reason.
Unable to truly kill her, they could only trap her within the eternal axis of the Law, weakening her power and ensuring her existence was utterly forgotten by the world.
“Violence cannot imprison me,” Gloria scoffed coldly. “I truly wonder what you would become if you lost the divine power you rely on to survive.
I am nothing like you fools who only know how to depend on the power of the Laws of Reason.
From ancient times until now, the most crucial lesson I’ve learned from mortals is to use my own mind, to forge a true path to salvation out of adversity!”
Concealing her eyes, she quietly articulated her grand scheme: “The number of the Dustfolk has accumulated to a critical mass, and their integration with the Observer’s divine authority has neared perfection, achieving a state of resonance.
They are now capable of entirely replacing the function of my individual Sub-entities, blurring the lines of reality, deceiving the Laws of Reason, and enduring this suffering in my stead.
As for me, I will cleave off the bare minimum of my soul, allowing it to inhabit this perfect body, thereby completely severing my connection to the Starfield Observer’s divine authority.
Thereafter, the true Starfield Observer will be that colossal empty shell and the billions of Dustfolk, rather than the former Blasphemous Demon God.
The moment she breaks free from her prison, the individual known as Gloria will achieve true liberation, descending into the world with a brand-new identity.”
While this plan would further diminish her already limited power, making her post-escape journey exceedingly perilous.
She might even struggle against some indigenous deities of other worlds.
Nevertheless, she was absolutely confident that no one from any divine realm would recognize her.
“As for the Dustfolk? Hmph, ‘gratuitous’ gifts always come with a hidden price tag, and the desires within your souls are already inclined to forge a contract with me.
In this mutually agreeable transaction, there’s never any talk of breach of contract.
It is your honor to serve as stepping stones on my path to freedom.”
She stepped forward, stopping a meter outside the barrier that shimmered with an ominous violet light, forcing a mocking smile. “Feigned weakness and true weakness are two entirely different things.
A barrier of this caliber…”
She retracted her small hand, turned, and leaped into a bubble.
“How could I possibly contend with that!”
The power contained within it included a fragment of her own truth, named ‘Endings’!
In her prime, she would have had a fifty percent chance of forcibly breaking the barrier.
However, gravely wounded, with her power suppressed, and now in the form of a young girl, she stood no chance whatsoever.
Otherwise, she would not have spent four Starfield cycles meticulously devising a plan to perfectly circumvent the barrier.
This was the conclusion she had reached after patient observation: at precisely one-quarter through each Starfield cycle, all phases would perfectly diverge.
This also marked the moment when the power of the Law’s Axis was at its weakest.
If one could observe the Starfield from outside at that precise moment, they would discover millions of phases perfectly aligned, and the raging Law’s Axis would fall into a momentary stillness.
At this juncture, utilizing a phase transition device, Gloria would be able to fully liberate her soul’s true form from the shackles of the Law’s Axis, rather than merely leaving behind a cryptic soul projection as she did during her tenure.
“The storm has arrived; millions of phases have moved into their fixed positions according to my plan.
The most flawless phase migration device has been perfected by my own hands.
The troublesome individuals, lulled by my century-long diligence, have lowered their guard against me.
The opportune moment, advantageous location, and human cooperation are all within my grasp.
Today marks the day the Blasphemous Demon God reclaims her freedom.
No, it is the birth of a brand-new Gloria!”
Inside the bubble, a container of unknown material flickered in and out of existence, constantly calibrating phase data.
Gloria harbored absolute confidence in this masterpiece she had personally crafted.
Her innate talent allowed her to calculate the optimal solution for any problem.
Consequently, this “knock-off” phase transition device was far more refined and functionally superior to its authentic counterpart.
It could not only precisely jump to a specific phase but also allowed for the setting of various constants and parameters, ensuring the articulation point wouldn’t drift into a black hole at the galactic center or a void zone.
Though with Gloria’s abilities, falling into a black hole was akin to merely dropping into the ocean.
Nevertheless, an extra precaution offered an extra layer of security.
“By the way, Lady Gloria is not like you shameless wretches who would even tamper with history,” she said, gently poking the four-leaf clover icon on the machine’s casing. “I have meticulously preserved the splendor and glory of those Ancient Civilizations, carefully recording them in volumes.
I excel at imitation and drawing inspiration; I am a humble apprentice, and anyone could become my teacher.
And I would never commit such a short-sighted act as ‘killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.’ This is the difference between me and your Supreme Divine Realm.”
The semi-ethereal machine completed its data configuration, and its form gradually stabilized.
“Phase deviation calibration successful, cluster chain articulation strength achieved, random world selection complete, cosmic constants set, pseudo-random variables added.
Please set the gravitational acceleration to commence phase transition.”
A curved opening appeared in the center of the massive capsule.
Gloria leaped inside, beginning the soul synchronization with the machine.
“Set the parameters to 10.04.
If all goes as planned, I will land near a solid planet in some remote, obscure corner of a phase, an uncharted territory even I have never observed.
There, I will restart my plan, step by step reclaiming the truths that rightfully belong to me, taking back my true name.
This bad debt, accrued over many years, will ultimately be settled.
I remember every single one of your names.”
Having spoken, she closed her eyes, and through spiritual vision, perceived the colossal mother jellyfish and the flickering souls of billions of Dustfolk.
They continued to diligently fulfill their duties as observers.
“Unless one is a Stockholm Syndrome patient with a severe illness, what prisoner would grow attached to their prison? Well, I did enjoy my time with you fellow inmates.
But I certainly won’t miss any of you stepping stones.”
The cowlick atop her head suddenly sprang up, forming an exclamation mark.
“Oh, and one more thing!”
From within the bubble, she poked out her small head, making a Starfield-friendly gesture towards the perilous god-slaying barrier. “You bastards, wipe your asses and wait for me.
Your mama is off to adventure in a new world, to gradually reclaim her power, and then she’ll return to settle accounts with you!”
Accompanied by a surge of incandescent white light rising from the void, the strange bubble swiftly became enmeshed in dense, golden-yellow light rings.
Subsequently, invisible tendrils extended from the layered light rings, unleashing black shockwaves that pulverized all matter, and Gloria’s presence vanished without a trace in an instant.
