Let me taste you?

Chapter 61,091 words10 min read

Lily stared coldly at Letia.

At first, Letia was confident, but soon she grew uneasy, her eyes dodging, unable to meet Lily’s gaze.

Although she was usually forceful and often tried to push Lily around, when it came to raising a daughter, Letia was clearly a novice.

Lily herself had never raised a child either, but she had read plenty of educational material.

At least in terms of knowledge, she could easily outmatch Letia.

“Speaking of which, isn’t this the kind of thing elders should be teaching?”

Indeed, in the past, when technology was undeveloped and you couldn’t just look up parenting guides online, knowledge was passed from elder to younger, then passed again to the next generation.

That way, each new parent would know how to care for their child, and children wouldn’t suffer needlessly.

Lily, being a summoned sacrifice, had never seen her own mother again.

But Letia should have a mother, right?

Why didn’t she let her help?

Even if she couldn’t raise the child directly, she should at least teach Letia the basics.

“You mean… my mother?”

“Since your mother raised you, shouldn’t she be able to teach you how to raise your own child?”

“Isn’t this all because of you?”

“Huh? How is it my fault?”

“Let me spell it out—our ‘relationship’ is not exactly… proper. There’s no way I could just take you to meet my family, could I?”

That did sound a bit like a runaway couple secretly having a child outside…

Lily felt embarrassed for bringing it up.

“Honestly, I don’t even like you!” Letia snapped, her temper rising.

“Why would I bring you to meet my parents? Do you just want to brag that you had the baby?”

“Y-you’re the one who forced me into those embarrassing things!”

“You dare call me the villain, when it was you who left the mark inside me!”

“What… mark?”

“Don’t play dumb. You admitted it already!”

Lily had no idea what she was talking about.

If she had thought carefully, maybe she could have pieced it together, but their arguing only made the baby start crying loudly in the crib.

Instantly, both of them stopped fighting and turned to soothe the child.

Once Emi calmed down, Lily let out a long breath.

“Alright… whatever happened before, it doesn’t matter now. What’s important is Emi.”

“Hmph. For once, I agree with you.”

“Since you can’t feed her, then let me.”

Lily’s body was already prepared for nursing.

She had even grown fuller, and sometimes… well, there were signs of milk.

She had long wanted to fulfill her role as a mother, but Letia hadn’t allowed it.

Lily had assumed Letia could nurse the child herself, so she set it aside.

But to find out Letia couldn’t at all—it was completely unexpected.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself,” Letia said coldly.

“Whether you’re suitable to nurse Emi is still uncertain. I’ll have to make sure first.”

“W-what do you mean… make sure?”

“I need to check your milk to see if it’s safe.”

“W-what kind of thing is that to say!”

If there had been a table nearby, Lily would’ve flipped it over in protest.

Mother’s milk was meant for babies—why did Letia have to interfere?

Because Lily raised her voice, Emi started crying again.

Lily, full of regret, hurried over to comfort her until she finally calmed down.

“This is all your fault!” Lily puffed her cheeks at Letia.

“If you hadn’t said something so embarrassing, I wouldn’t have shouted and scared her!”

“It’s just a check—why so dramatic?”

“Mother’s milk is for babies, not for you!”

“I only meant to check if it’s safe. I won’t let Emi drink something uncertain.”

“Uncertain…?” Lily trembled with anger, unable to shout back.

“Mother’s milk is the most natural, safest food for babies—how could you call it uncertain?”

“Fine. If you don’t want me to check, then never mind. I’ll just go to town and buy some cow’s milk.”

“No way! Mother’s milk is healthier!”

“But if you won’t prove it, how am I supposed to know?”

“U-ugh…”

Lily clenched her fists, struggling inside.

It was cow’s milk that was uncertain—most cow’s milk wasn’t suitable for infants.

But trying to discuss microbes with Letia would be like talking to a wall.

She didn’t want to waste her breath.

She couldn’t lose her role as a mother.

So, reluctantly, she agreed to Letia’s condition.

“F-fine…”

“What was that?”

“As long as it lets me feed my baby, you can… check if you want.”

“Hmph. Should’ve said so earlier. What a waste of time.”

“You—!”

So infuriating!

Even though this was humiliating, Letia still acted so righteous about it!

She really was the worst.

She only wanted to embarrass her—that’s why she kept bullying her!

“Alright, let’s go to the next room for the check.”

“At least you know better than to fight over this in front of our daughter!”

“Don’t say it like that. I’m only checking the milk.”

As she spoke, Letia licked her lips.

Lily felt a deep wave of shame, but she couldn’t resist her decision.

“Ugh… you big bully…” Lily muttered under her breath.

“My, even your complaints sound cute.”

After a little bickering, Letia led Lily into the next room.

It was the same place Lily had been confined, with little furniture, only a stained bed.

It hadn’t been changed in two months.

Letia looked at it for a moment, then waved her hand.

The stained sheets vanished, stored in another space.

With another gesture, fresh white sheets spread across the bed.

Seeing the clean sheets, Lily smiled in relief.

But then she remembered what Letia had done, and her smile froze.

“Alright, hurry up and check!”

“I was going to anyway.”

Letia gently pushed Lily onto the soft bed.

Her movements were surprisingly careful, making sure not to hurt her.

Lily closed her eyes shyly, letting Letia proceed.

Although Letia claimed it was all about “checking,” her true intentions soon became obvious.

She wasn’t thinking about safety—she was simply acting on impulse.

Lily sighed in her heart.

She had gotten used to Letia’s ways.

So much so, she didn’t even feel like resisting anymore.
