“Administrator, are you quite idle right now?”
Qiweiya quickly settled onto the ground, playfully arranging building blocks. “Look, my Disney castle isn’t even finished yet! Oh, where should this piece go? It’s truly mind-boggling.”
“[A vein pulsed on their forehead] If you’re merely referring to this, then I can finish building it right now!”
Qiweiya pouted coquettishly. “Oh dear! Why are you such a rush? Are you worried no one will want you in the future?”
“Administrator, I personally believe that being with you will accelerate my operational lifespan by at least half!”
Qiweiya blinked her large eyes. “Eh? Is that true? How could I be that amazing? That’s such high praise! Although I’m happy you say that, I still feel a little shy.”
“Damn it! Why am I wasting so much breath on you? Off you go!”
Whoosh!
Qiweiya in the temple was instantly teleported away. “Phew! Finally got rid of that little rascal!”
****
In the blink of an eye, Qiweiya found herself teleported directly in front of a group of primitive people—imagine cavemen—and they all stared at each other.
Qiweiya offered an awkward greeting. “Ohayo.”
The primitive people became excited, exclaiming, “Ooh-ooh-ooh…” Several of them approached Qiweiya, scrutinizing her from every angle, almost reaching out to touch her.
One of the elders shooed the others back into the crowd, uttering incomprehensible grunts. “Er-woo-la-woo-oh!”
Qiweiya sensed that this old primitive man possessed a surprisingly clear consciousness. ‘Are you the Ice Snow Goddess whom we summoned?’
Qiweiya nodded with a gentle smile. ‘Indeed! The Ice Snow Goddess you speak of is truly me. So, is there anything you require my assistance with, my believers?’
The old primitive man was utterly shocked by the voice that resonated within his mind. “Uh-ah-oh-ya-smi-ah-ha…”
‘Oh, Goddess, my people can no longer find food to eat! And the number of children dying is increasing rapidly! If this continues, my tribe will face complete extinction!’
From a god-like perspective, Qiweiya observed the tribe’s dire situation. The bones of infants and women lay buried in piles beneath an open patch of ground.
It was painfully evident that this was not the first group to have perished. Many surviving infants were also afflicted with diseases, caused by deplorable hygiene and severe nutritional deficiencies.
These ailments would be easily resolved in modern times. However, where could medical facilities be found in this primitive era? Witnessing this tragic scene, Qiweiya felt a profound sense of empathy, gaining a deeper understanding of the plight of ancient peoples.
Qiweiya conveyed to the old primitive man, ‘I can teach you how to eliminate these diseases, and I will also instruct you on how to live better lives!’
The old primitive man was visibly agitated. “Wah-ah-ga-ya-so-wah…”
‘Is that truly so! On behalf of everyone in our tribe, I thank you, Goddess, for your benevolence! We shall become your loyal followers and worship you forever!’
Qiweiya was pleased to suddenly gain the faith of an entire tribe. However, her greater satisfaction stemmed from the prospect of this tribe’s people being able to survive more effectively.
Qiweiya shook her head. ‘We Origin Gods have no inherent need for faith, though my future subordinate gods will require it. You can worship the token I give you, and in this way, my subordinate gods will receive your faith. Come closer, I’ll give you a BUFF [forced humor]… *cough* *cough* I misspoke. It’s the knowledge you’ll need in the future, as well as the magic of my lineage.’
The old primitive man eagerly extended his head. Qiweiya, with a look of exasperation, suppressed her embarrassment as she imparted basic life knowledge, etiquette, healing magic, and fundamental seven-elemental magic to him.
After the old primitive man had fully assimilated this knowledge, he knelt on one knee before Qiweiya. “Goddess! You are the most sacred and greatest deity of our tribe! From now on, all our descendants will only worship the gods of your lineage!”
Qiweiya now truly felt as if she had shot herself in the foot. She had inadvertently passed on the etiquette of kneeling on one knee. Now, it would be truly difficult to refuse.
Should she be thankful it wasn’t a double-knee kneel? [Tears in her eyes]
Qiweiya licked her dry lips. “It’s nothing. If your descendants wish to worship other gods, that’s perfectly fine. Truly, I don’t demand that much. I am a god who values the Way of Balance!” ‘Qiweiya truly wanted to slap herself. What nonsense was she spouting?’
The old primitive man’s expression was agitated. “As expected, the Goddess’s words are profound! Even I, who have been granted the Goddess’s inherited knowledge, cannot fully comprehend them. I am truly ashamed!” ‘Holy crap! Then just forget what I just said! That’s my dark history! I can’t believe I spouted such chuunibyou nonsense, boohoohoo!’
“Goddess! We will certainly research and discuss this profound term for generations to come, and we hope you will forgive our foolishness!” Qiweiya’s heart felt as cold as if it had been pierced by an arrow.
Qiweiya said with a bitter expression, “Please don’t research this term you find profound, for even most gods cannot fully comprehend it!”
The old primitive man seriously stated, “Precisely because the Goddess has revealed this truth-level term to us, we must strive to understand it! Otherwise, we would be unworthy of the Goddess’s nurturing of our tribe!” ‘Qiweiya twitched her lips. Where did this *official come from? He’s spouting such perfect bureaucratic jargon!’
Unable to bear it any longer, Qiweiya casually condensed a round, ice-blue medallion with three triangles carved into it using the laws of ice and snow. She then handed it to the old primitive man. “This is the object of faith I bestow upon you. Henceforth, you only need to pray to it. Once a day, mind you.”
Under the old primitive man’s exclamation, “Thank you, Goddess, for this bestowed treasure [magnetic storm?],” Qiweiya shamefully teleported back to the temple.
“Hahaha! Administrator, you truly pulled off quite the stunt! The Way of Balance, oh my! Oh dear, oh dear, you’ve made me quite embarrassed now.”
Qiweiya ignored the scoundrel who constantly betrayed her. Instead, she exclaimed, “Oh no! I turned that object of faith into a nuclear bomb symbol!” She slumped in despair.
The Temple’s consciousness was silent for a moment before erupting into even louder laughter.
