A Weekend Reward

I have proofread the chapter and made the following corrections:

A week flew by in the blink of an eye, and once again, it was Friday afternoon, time for school to dismiss.

As the days settled into a rhythm, Bai Xia gradually adapted to life with Mo Bai, even though he continued to tease her relentlessly at school.

Compared to before, Bai Xia now found herself somewhat indifferent.

After all, resistance proved futile. It was better to simply let her deskmate have his way; at least then the embarrassing moments would pass more quickly.

She didn’t truly hate it, of course. What vexed her most was Mo Bai’s constant, inappropriate teasing, regardless of time or place.

He might be shameless, but she, as a young woman, still valued her dignity.

Bai Xia was acutely aware of her own delicate sensibilities.

Sigh…”

The lingering glow of the sunset streamed through the classroom window, casting a warm light upon her desk. Bai Xia propped her chin in her hand and let out a soft sigh, seemingly lost in memories of the past week spent with Mo Bai. A faint blush slowly bloomed across her adorable face.

Fortunately, after the initial two nights, Mo Bai had reined himself in considerably. He hadn’t bullied her to the point of crying out anymore.

Perhaps he had a change of heart?

Bai Xia wasn’t entirely sure. Even the process itself, she could only recall in fragmented snippets.

Even though Mo Bai had been much gentler the second time, she had still blacked out.

So, perhaps Mo Bai had realized her body couldn’t withstand it, and was showing a touch of tender pity?

The young woman tidied her schoolbag, her long, snow-white hair swaying gently with her movements. Lost in thought, she was startled when Mo Bai suddenly leaned in close to her ear.

“What are you thinking about? Your face is so red.”

The warmth of his breath instantly snapped Bai Xia back to reality. She flinched away, then cast a resentful glance at the young man beside her.

“I told you not to do that at school,” Bai Xia chided, her face flushed. Yet, upon meeting Mo Bai’s smiling eyes, she felt her resolve crumble. She pouted her lips and mumbled, “You only know how to bully people…”

Mo Bai simply smiled, saying nothing, as he watched the aggrieved young woman.

The little one is so adorable; it’s truly hard to resist teasing her, especially since today is the day I’m taking Bai Xia home with me.

He reached out and ruffled her soft hair, instantly calming the sulking girl, who lowered her flushed face.

“You’ve been very well-behaved these past few days. I’ll give you a little reward this weekend,” Mo Bai said softly.

Ever since they had made their agreement in the cafeteria that day, the little Blood Princess had been considerably more obedient at home.

Bai Xia had always lived alone, so various household chores were second nature to her. Mo Bai even thought that she could cook an excellent dinner herself, even without a maid.

As for other matters, there was even less need to mention them.

Late at night at home, as long as it wasn’t anything too outrageous, Bai Xia would practically let Mo Bai have his way. It could be said that there wasn’t a single spot on the young woman’s body that Mo Bai hadn’t touched.

Hearing her deskmate’s words, Bai Xia became even more shy. Her fair, delicate hands nervously twisted the hem of her clothes.

“This… can I not have the reward?” Bai Xia mumbled softly, her face crimson, her long eyelashes trembling slightly.

Bai Xia didn’t need to guess what kind of reward Mo Bai was referring to, yet she found herself unable to refuse. After all, Mo Bai hadn’t come to her at night these past few days, and she hadn’t consumed any blood. After several days of using her abilities, her energy reserves were considerably depleted.

Logically speaking… it was indeed time to replenish them.

The young woman lowered her head, blushing, and fiddled with the corner of her clothes. Her silver-white hair cascaded down, obscuring her flushed ear tips.

I want it… but I also feel a little resistant.

I resist it… but I also kind of want it.

Bai Xia suddenly felt she was becoming increasingly weak-willed. But upon closer thought, Mo Bai was actually quite good. Anyway, as long as he was a little forceful, she would semi-reluctantly comply, which would also give her an excuse of ‘forced compliance’ for her compromise.

Given the circumstances, no matter how unwilling Bai Xia felt psychologically, she could only silently begin to accept her identity as a young woman, especially since her good deskmate was simply too generous.

Seeing the young woman’s adorable, expectant expression, yet her refusal to admit it verbally, Mo Bai couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Do you truly not want it, or are you just pretending?” Mo Bai asked, smiling, leaning in a little closer.

“I… how would I know…” Bai Xia stammered, her face red, as she hastily pushed Mo Bai away a little with her small hand. She then feigned composure and began packing her schoolbag, but the scarlet tips of her ears peeking through her white hair, and her slightly trembling fingers, betrayed her inner turmoil.

Never mind. It’s a two-day weekend; there’s plenty of time to play with my little Blood Princess.

Seeing Bai Xia blush furiously from his teasing, Mo Bai finally felt satisfied and let the adorable little one off the hook. “Alright, get ready. We’re going to my house.”

‘Oh, right… it’s Friday. It’s the day I go to Mo Ge’s house.’

The young man’s words jolted the young woman, who had been pondering how she would be teased that night, back to reality. Her face grew even redder, and a hint of nervousness crept in.

Although she knew nothing of Mo Bai’s family background, she had certainly heard of the Mo family, one of the top aristocratic families in the Imperial Capital.

Would there truly be no problem with a poor student like myself going there?

And if Mo Bai is taking me, does that mean I’ll meet his parents?

Bai Xia suddenly felt like backing out.

After all, it wasn’t uncommon in novels for a young master to bring his girlfriend home, only for the wealthy parents to humiliate her with money and drive her away, even if she wasn’t Mo Bai’s girlfriend.

Thinking this, Bai Xia felt as if she were the female protagonist of such a novel, about to face the same scenario.

But it might not be. What if Mo Bai’s parents are busy and not home?

After a moment of hesitation, Bai Xia decided to test the waters. Her face flushed, she quietly asked, “But, Mo Ge… um… are your parents home?”

“Of course. My parents are quite eager to meet you,” Mo Bai said, smiling at the nervous little Blood Princess. As for the strange things concocting in Bai Xia’s mind, he had no idea.

“Finish packing; Uncle Chen will pick us up shortly.”

“This… so soon?”

Bai Xia immediately became flustered, her movements while packing her schoolbag growing hurried. In reality, her mind was already uncontrollably conjuring various awkward scenes from aristocratic dramas.

For instance, would there be a line of butlers in tailcoats to greet them? Would she need to perform complex etiquette?

“Or do you want to stay at school until dark?” Mo Bai gently tapped her small head, interrupting her wild thoughts. “Don’t overthink things. Just treat it as visiting a friend’s ordinary home.”

“Oh…” The young woman shrank her head, her face red, and responded softly, continuing to pack her belongings.

As the sun set, most of the students in the classroom had already left. Mo Bai went ahead to wait for Uncle Chen at the school gate, while Bai Xia remained in the classroom to finish her final tidying.

With her protector gone, the adorable silver-haired young woman naturally drew considerable attention.

Several passing boys secretly eyed Bai Xia, whispering about whether to approach her, but Mo Bai’s formidable reputation kept them from acting. Yet, even so, the young woman seated at her desk remained like a white lotus flower—beautiful to behold but untouchable—making people hesitant to approach her easily.

In fact, her classmates were all very curious about Bai Xia’s identity. After all, a silver-haired beauty who suddenly transferred, and was intimately close with the Mo family’s eldest young master who always kept to himself—everyone wanted a bite of that gossip.

What was rather unfortunate was that people had indeed tried to inquire about the silver-haired young woman’s identity, but without exception, they all came up empty-handed. This only added to Bai Xia’s mysterious aura in everyone’s eyes.

Especially when the teacher announced she was a transfer student, and the original student sitting next to Mo Bai had vanished without a trace, various speculations became rampant.

However, Bai Xia remained indifferent to all of it. After all, she couldn’t do anything about it, so she might as well let it be.

“Phew… all packed. Time to go find Mo Ge.”

Bai Xia let out a soft breath, tucked the last item into her schoolbag, and then stood up to leave.

As for why she carried her schoolbag, it was purely because the monthly exam was approaching, and she needed to take her review materials home. Although Mo Bai always told her not to bother with these ordinary human exams, Bai Xia felt that since she had worked so hard for so long, she should at least see the results, right?

Stepping out of the teaching building, Bai Xia’s graceful figure moved through the campus. Her snow-white hair shone with a soft luster in the setting sun, causing passing students to turn their heads. Although being stared at by so many students was a bit embarrassing, after a week, Bai Xia had developed a slight immunity to it. She lowered her head slightly and quickened her pace, soon spotting Mo Bai, who was leaning languidly against a black car, scrolling through his phone.

“Mo Ge, I’m here.” The young woman jogged towards him, bathed in the evening sun.
