The Origin God Joins the Fray

Chapter 611,359 words12 min read

Subtitle: Since you’re all having such fun, I might as well join the fray.

Qiweiya emerged from the cave, an exasperated expression on her face.

Staring at the chaotic battlefield before her, a scene comparable to the pandemonium of World War II, she felt utterly helpless.

Despite the disarray, she still produced her super-frequency loudspeaker.

“Everyone, let’s talk this out, no more fighting! Can’t you see your big boss here is perfectly fine?”

The soldiers of the Divine Legion paused, glancing at Qiweiya.

Upon noticing her disheveled clothes, they instantly erupted in fury, clashing with the Dragonkind even more fiercely than before.

Coril approached Qiweiya, pressing a hand to her forehead.

“Tell me, are you here to cause trouble or to save the day? Don’t you realize you look like a fallen maiden who’s been defiled a hundred times? And your eyes are still watery…”

Qiweiya glared coldly at Coril.

“It’s all your doing, isn’t it? Don’t think you can escape responsibility by simply rephrasing things!”

Coril awkwardly rubbed her chin.

“While I admit this is indeed my fault, shouldn’t you be stopping the battle between the two races right now?”

Qiweiya rolled her eyes.

“With things like this, why bother trying to mediate? It’d be more satisfying to just fight to our hearts’ content.”

“Pfft!” Coril’s eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Qiweiya.

“Aren’t you worried about your own legion dying off?”

“Worried about what? We Divine Spirits aren’t beings like you, with your incomplete deification, that can be easily matched!”

“Otherwise, do you think the Void would have been held back for so long without breaching our defenses?”

“Besides, not a single Archon-level officer from our Divine Legion has even arrived yet. This is clearly just an opportunity to train these greenhorn recruits.”

Coril was so furious she wanted to strangle the absurd little loli in front of her.

“You might not care, but *I* do! Our Dragonkind already has incredibly low birth rates! Now you Divine Spirits are meddling again! I’ll XXXXX!”

Qiweiya scratched her face.

“Fine, seeing how much trouble you’re in, I’ll lend a hand~”

“How do you plan to help?” Coril asked.

“By fighting first, of course~”

Coril was so incensed she wanted to crack open Qiweiya’s head to see how her brain worked.

“You’re unbelievable! The situation is already this chaotic, and you want to jump in and make it worse? Are you sure your common sense isn’t completely broken?”

Whoosh!

The scythe reappeared in Qiweiya’s hand.

“I don’t have any better way than to beat them into submission~ But this is truly exciting. I’ve wanted to ‘discipline’ these newcomers for a long time, and now I’ve finally got my chance, hehehe.”

Coril shivered, silently offering a 0.1-second prayer for the Divine Legion.

****

Besalius was the leader sent by the Divine Legion this time to rescue the Goddess.

However, with her strength as a high-level god, she was merely a minor enforcer, and even among enforcers, she was considered relatively weak.

With a sweep of her long spear, she sent a god-tier red dragon flying.

As if sensing danger, she thrust backward, impaling a green dragon that had attempted a sneak attack, turning it into a ‘BBQ skewer’.

“Honestly, are those madmen who only know how to fight the Void now completely disregarding the Origin God’s safety?”

“Child, it’s not that they’re disregarding it; it’s that you’re too weak.” Besalius looked utterly bewildered at Qiweiya, who had appeared before her without her noticing.

“Isn’t the Legion Commander (the Origin God is the commander of the Divine Legion, which has seven legions) supposed to be captured? Why are you here?”

Qiweiya offered a mischievous smile.

“That’s because my hands are itching for a fight, of course!” As the scythe descended, Besalius dared not use her long spear to block the legendary Origin God’s primordial artifact.

If it broke, she truly wouldn’t know where to cry.

“Legion Commander, why are you attacking us? Even if your hands are itching, shouldn’t you be attacking those lizards?”

Qiweiya grew impatient.

“Stop spouting nonsense to yourselves! I just want a fight, and you’ll fight whether you like it or not!”

The scythe swept horizontally, its keen edge carving a spatial rift through the Dragon Realm’s space.

Coril, watching wide-eyed from the side, felt her heart ache with fear, terrified that this blockhead Qiweiya might accidentally dismantle the Dragon Realm with improper control.

“My ancestors! Qiweiya, go easy on it! If the Dragon Realm is destroyed, we’ll just move into your Divine Realm!”

Qiweiya chuckled awkwardly.

“Wasn’t I just a little too excited~ My bad, my bad, it won’t happen again.”

Besalius stared at Qiweiya.

“The Legion Commander has been controlled?! Everyone, push harder! Let’s finish off these damned lizards quickly; we need to make these four-legged reptiles reveal the method to break the control!”

“For the Primordial!” *N

Qiweiya looked exasperatedly at the suddenly invigorated Divine Spirits.

‘Holy crap, this isn’t what we agreed on! Why do you all get a fervor buff at the drop of a hat? I haven’t even applied any buffs yet!’

Qiweiya clutched her forehead, a headache brewing.

“Since you’re all going big, I’ll give you a Tsar Bomba to play with!”

[Divine Creation: Planetary Devastation]

Qiweiya’s hands danced with the scythe, and with each rotation, a wisp of dark energy accumulated.

Besalius felt an increasingly powerful suction force.

Watching her soldiers (who were at least lower-tier gods) about to be pulled in, she gritted her teeth.

“Forgive me, Legion Commander! To rescue you, this is all I can do!”

[Pierce Through! Light of the Star Domain]

The long spear, wreathed in a wisp of Origin power, began to transform.

It eventually became a silver spear resembling the Lance of Longinus, the God-Slaying Spear Qiweiya had seen in her previous life (like in EVA).

Besalius appeared to exert herself greatly, using all her might as a peak-level god to hurl the spear.

Qiweiya looked at the approaching new recruits with a fervent expression.

‘Finally, I can properly teach these little ones a lesson! I’m so excited, so excited!’

Qiweiya stared blankly at the approaching elongated silver light.

‘What in the world is that?’ Feeling the will within the light, a will that seemed capable of piercing through anything, she instantly bristled.

‘Holy shit! Which bastard created a weapon like this? The shape almost made me pee my pants! And it’s actually shooting at me!’

‘Forget it, for now, I can only deal with this disgusting spear… I really don’t want to be pierced through the chest. Does it feel a bit evil, or is that just my imagination?’

Qiweiya ceased her Planetary Devastation, turning her scythe to point at the silver light.

“Since you’re so provocative, I’ll just destroy you!” [God for the World: Bearing All Evil]

Dark golden light bloomed in Qiweiya’s pupils.

The scythe became covered in dark golden runes that extended from Qiweiya’s body.

“You should not exist in this world, so bear the weight of it!” The scythe slashed diagonally downwards!

The World’s Evil, borne by the Origin God, finally revealed itself to mortals for the very first time.

That abhorrent, terrifying, unsettling darkness that devoured all light finally poured forth from the scythe, transforming into a slash that tore through dimensional boundaries and appeared before the silver light!

The silver spear hung suspended in mid-air, flickering erratically between light and shadow.

Ultimately, it disintegrated under the weight of this world’s defilement, becoming a part of the evil itself.

Retrieve.

With a wave of Qiweiya’s hand, the power of evil was drawn back into the dimensional rift of the world, to be re-imprisoned within the Sea of Evil.

As Besalius frantically patted her ample chest to calm her wildly thumping heart, Qiweiya appeared before her with a grim expression.

“Don’t you think you owe me an explanation, Executor Besalius?”

Seeing Besalius’s bewildered face, Qiweiya smiled wickedly.

“Of course, if you’d like to experience the Origin God’s personal brand of torture, I’d be more than happy to oblige~ After all, my specially trained tentacle monster hasn’t been fed in quite a while.”
