A Sister’s Unwelcome Visit

The entire class’s gazes converged on Chloe, each student brimming with curiosity, eager to discover what earth-shattering endeavors compelled her to skip so many lessons.

“Could Chloe be one of those magical girls from an anime, always secretly transforming to fight monsters whenever they appear nearby!”

“That’s so cool!”

“Don’t be childish! There’s no such thing as magical girls! She’s probably just working a part-time job to earn some money.”

“Who said there isn’t? Let me tell you…”

The conversation veered into an unexpectedly strange direction, and this girl, whose striking beauty made her seem as if she had stepped right out of a fairy tale, suddenly acquired an air of profound mystery in the eyes of many. After all, her appearance certainly aligned perfectly with the public’s idealized image of a magical girl’s human form.

Yet Chloe remained silent, and while it seemed no one truly believed she was involved in anything as sordid as prostitution, there would inevitably be those whose minds drifted to such unsavory possibilities.

As the girl in question remained utterly silent, the strange, impromptu discussion gradually lost its momentum.

“See! She doesn’t even dare to explain herself! Even if it’s not prostitution, it certainly isn’t anything clean!” The girl, perceiving the situation turning in her favor, immediately seized the opportunity to continue her assault.

“Chloe…” Night Moon was taken aback by Chloe’s apparent reluctance to disclose her whereabouts, feeling a sudden pang of regret, as if she had unwittingly become an accomplice in coercing someone.

Chloe gritted her teeth, her face obscured by her falling hair, making her expression unreadable.

‘These base humans truly possess no moral fiber, allowing groundless slander to become fodder for their amusement. What purpose do such lives serve? I truly wish to eradicate them all! Perhaps one day, as they lie terrified amidst ruins of blood and fire, their mouths and noses choked by biting ash, and their bodies slowly growing cold, only then will they truly atone for their very existence!’

Just then, a student seated near the classroom entrance felt a sudden tap on their shoulder, and a captivating fragrance wafted over.

“Excuse me, classmate, I’m Chloe’s sister. Would you mind asking her to step out for a moment?”

“Uh, well…” He hadn’t anticipated Chloe’s sister suddenly appearing, and now he was unsure whether to apprise her of the current tense situation. Regardless, he was determined to leave a favorable impression on such a beautiful student, so he leaned in to whisper something to her. The girl, however, instantly recoiled, a fleeting expression of disdain flashing across her face.

He still recounted the entire classroom situation to her in full detail. Upon hearing his explanation, the beautiful girl’s deep purple eyes momentarily hardened with a ruthless glint, only to soften back into their elegant and tranquil state in the blink of an eye.

“I understand. Thank you.” With a nod, she then proceeded into the classroom.

In the collective gaze of the entire class, the unfamiliar girl walked directly towards Chloe’s desk. Chloe, enveloped in a somber aura, kept her head bowed, and thus did not immediately notice the new arrival.

“Who is she?”

“I don’t know. She’s not from our class, is she?”

“No, I heard that a very beautiful girl had transferred to the third year. I strongly suspect it’s her.”

The extraordinarily beautiful girl caused quite a sensation the moment she stepped into the classroom, diverting the entire class’s attention from Chloe to her. What astonished them even further was that these two girls were now gradually converging into a single, captivating spectacle.

“Senior…” Night Moon, of course, recognized the girl’s identity immediately. It was clear she had come to find Chloe, though Chloe’s current mood seemed less than ideal.

“My little sister…” She crouched down, tilting her head playfully, and reached out to stroke Chloe’s soft golden hair as if coaxing a cat. Gently, she smoothed the strands back, then applied a touch more pressure, causing the girl’s head to dip even further.

“What are you doing here?” Chloe’s voice was frigid, betraying no hint of welcome.

“Can’t I come to see my little sister?”

‘Are you here to mock me? Are you here to revel in my humiliation?’ The predicament Chloe found herself unable to explain stemmed largely from the fact that her escapades during skipped classes were, for the most part, far from innocent. And the architect of this very situation was none other than the “gentle older sister” currently standing before her.

Night Moon was utterly bewildered as to why Chloe had suddenly developed such an intense dislike for Senior Tia. Hadn’t their relationship always been so amicable before? Then, as if by some mischievous twist of fate, a bizarre thought abruptly flickered through Night Moon’s mind. ‘If Chloe and Senior Tia’s relationship soured, would that open up an opportunity for me?’ This impure thought instantly sparked a fierce recoil from Night Moon’s inherently righteous heart.

With all these irritating individuals suddenly converging, Chloe found herself unable to bear it any longer. She rose to her feet, intent on walking out. Yet, before she could take more than a couple of steps, she froze, rooted to the spot.

‘Where would I even go? Leaving school? Wouldn’t that just be skipping class again? Hide in the restroom for a while? What if Tia follows me there?’ The last visit to the school restroom was hardly a pleasant memory. The mere thought of being pressed onto a toilet, hearing the constant footsteps of students passing by, while a tentacle forcefully… ‘—and having to suppress any sound—’ caused Chloe’s cheeks to burn with heat.

Caught in this dilemma, Chloe, fuming, spun around. The instant she turned, the sight before her caused her eyes to widen in disbelief.

Her seat had been brazenly taken by Tia! What’s more, Tia was now smiling playfully, patting her thigh as if inviting, “Come on, sit right here!”
