Rainfall, Heat, and Losing Control

Chapter 62 Part 2 • 1,855 words • 16 min read

Alpha heat periods occurred roughly once every three months and were called physiological heat periods.

But that did not mean they were dead fish with perfect self control the rest of the time.

When emotions surged, or when they subjectively felt a desire to reproduce, pheromones and adrenaline would spike wildly, and the urge for the body to form a knot would rise with it.

That was an ordinary heat period.

Wu Qie was pinned to the bed.

The hem of his bathrobe had spread open beneath him.

Cold air drifted in from outside and brushed against the roots of his thighs, as if mocking his naive belief that tying the robe tightly would solve everything.

He should have put his underwear on first.

“Teacher doesn’t like Zhao Shu, right?”

The Alpha’s palm rested against the outside of his thigh.

“Will you cancel the engagement?”

Who could have imagined it?

The most exemplary student council president in everyone’s eyes.

The model student who buttoned his school uniform neatly to the very last button.

The outstanding student representative with an exceptional family background and top tier physical capabilities who had never once been involved in any scandal…

One night, he would pin his teacher onto a bed.

An overwhelming wave of pheromones crashed over him.

The biting coldness of cedar mixed together with the icy rain outside.

“If the Wu family needs an S rank Alpha marriage alliance, why not look at the Pei family instead?”

His palm rubbed against skin with a rustling sound.

The Alpha pressing down on him emitted cold pheromones, yet his body burned as though engulfed in flames.

Thankfully, the room was dark.

Wu Qie could not see anything clearly.

He could only vaguely feel something straining to emerge, pressing against his leg at this moment…

The hem of the bathrobe slipped down easily because of his bent leg, gliding over smooth skin.

The large hand gripping the base of his thigh effortlessly pushed his leg upward, folding it against his chest.

When the Alpha leaned down once again to steal another kiss, Wu Qie stared at the face growing closer and blurrier.

Then he raised a hand and cupped his face.

A warm kiss landed in his palm.

The black haired Beta’s voice remained calm.

“I don’t understand, Pei Qingyu. What exactly do you want?”

His legs, already spread apart, were pressed down further.

The hand slid lower and grasped behind his knee.

His leg was bent completely against himself, now fully pressed against his chest.

The Alpha lowered his neck and moved closer.

A damp tongue brushed across his palm.

“No matter whether I still like you or not… I just want Teacher to only look at me.”

Inside the dim room, rainwater outside still dripped steadily from the eaves into the hot spring pool.

Like liquid wind chimes made only for rainy days.

“You’re insane.”

“I’ve always been like this. Teacher was just the one who misjudged me.”

The sound of rainfall nearly drowned out the tired sigh from the black haired Beta.

Helplessness flickered through his dark eyes.

Finally, when the Alpha leaned in once more for a kiss, his hand slid toward the back of his neck—

Toward the gland.

The temperature there was even hotter than the rest of the Alpha’s body.

Practically scorching.

Even through touch he could feel it throbbing rapidly.

Without looking, he already knew that this organ unique to special genders was probably red and swollen right now.

A sign that the Alpha had become completely aroused.

The instant Wu Qie’s hand brushed there, the Alpha hovering over him released a muffled swallowing sound from deep in his throat.

The hand gripping his leg tightened unconsciously.

The force was strong enough to leave red marks on his pale skin.

Wu Qie winced slightly in pain and frowned.

Pei Qingyu felt the slightly cool hand resting against his gland.

His voice was frighteningly hoarse.

“Don’t touch my gland. Right now it’s…”

Very vulnerable.

Wu Qie let out a soft “Mm.”

His voice was as damp and gentle as the fine rain drifting soundlessly into the room.

“Then learn your lesson.”

“Next time, don’t hand it over to someone else so casually.”

His hard fingernails dug into the gland mercilessly.

The Alpha above him stiffened instantly.

He lifted his neck and released a sharp inhale caught somewhere between pleasure and pain.

Soon enough, pain took over completely.

Before he could react, darkness swallowed his vision.

Something stretched tight seemed to snap apart all at once.

He collapsed heavily onto Wu Qie.

Then stopped moving entirely.

Wu Qie suddenly felt dampness against his lower body.

Through the fabric of the pants.

He raised an eyebrow.

Staring blankly at the ceiling for a while, he muttered:

“I told you not to provoke me.”

He pushed the person lying on top of him aside and got out of bed.

The leg that had been stretched too much still felt weak and sore.

He had to hold onto the headboard to keep from falling.

As if possessed, he raised his hand and sniffed his fingertips—

An overwhelming cedar scent had completely soaked into them.

Caught off guard by it, he nearly felt assaulted by the smell.

“…”

Wu Qie abandoned the foolish thought of washing his hands.

Gathering his bathrobe around himself, he picked up his phone and called Zhao Shu next door.

Zhao Shu had not slept yet.

He was still shouting loudly while gaming with his roommates.

He lazily answered with a “Hello,” sounding as if his brain had shut down and only instinct remained.

Then he asked whether Little Teacher Wu was scared of ghosts and wanted him to come over.

Wu Qie sighed.

“Come to my room.”

“I think someone in here might be a little dead.”

The other end instantly fell silent.

This time, the now wiser Little Teacher Wu did not forget to put on his underwear at lightning speed.

When Zhao Shu knocked and Wu Qie opened the door, Young Master Zhao instantly darkened his expression after smelling the room overflowing with Alpha pheromones.

He craned his neck inside and saw Pei Qingyu had not completely died yet.

The next second, he reached out and grabbed Wu Qie’s face, turning it left and right for inspection.

After confirming that aside from looking exhausted he seemed fine, he relaxed a little.

“Did he touch you?”

Wu Qie smacked his hand away.

His tone remained flat.

“Not everyone loses their mind like you.”

“Do you have S rank Alpha suppressants or not? Did you bring them?”

Zhao Shu turned around expressionlessly and left.

Not long afterward, he returned at hurricane speed with a cooler box in hand.

Wu Qie crossed his arms and moved aside to let him pass.

As Zhao Shu brushed shoulders with him, he suddenly paused.

Then backed up.

Taking advantage of his height, he looked down from above and carefully examined the black haired young man before him with an investigative gaze.

Wu Qie’s heartbeat sped up—

Not because of guilt.

He was just afraid Zhao Shu might notice something.

Because Zhao Shu would absolutely go insane on the spot and make a huge scene everyone would know about.

Being pinned down by a student in the middle of the night and all that…

No matter how you looked at it, it sounded terrible.

The dignity of being a teacher would completely vanish.

Even if the premise was the unfair combination of an S rank Alpha against a Beta.

“What are you staring at?”

Wu Qie’s voice was cold.

“If you don’t inject the suppressant soon, your little friend is going to turn into a zombie.”

Thanks to the cold faced Beta before him, Zhao Shu had recently gone through an emotional heat period himself.

He knew exactly how miserable that pent up feeling was.

But it did not matter.

Pei Qingyu was already unconscious.

And unconscious people felt nothing.

So Zhao Shu was not in a hurry at all.

He even put down the cooler box.

Then both hands reached out and pulled together the slightly open bathrobe on Little Teacher Wu—

Though “slightly open” was practically just a tiny gap.

As Wu Qie raised an eyebrow speechlessly, Zhao Shu grabbed his bathrobe collar, dragged him closer, lowered his head—

And quickly pecked him on the lips.

Wu Qie: “?”

Zhao Shu: “Disinfection.”

“You’re covered in Pei Qingyu’s pheromone scent.”

“If someone didn’t know better, they’d think you two already did it.”

Wu Qie: “What nonsense are you saying?”

Zhao Shu: “When Coach Sun and the others come later, it’d be better if you smelled like my pheromones instead.”

After speaking, he ignored Wu Qie’s refusal completely.

Pulling the black haired Beta into his arms, he rubbed against him wildly.

Wu Qie’s hair became a mess.

His cheeks were practically kneaded out of shape.

He frowned and desperately leaned backward, but still could not escape the occasional soft kisses falling from the young Alpha.

Only after Wu Qie became genuinely annoyed did Zhao Shu reluctantly let him go.

Zhao Shu’s process of preparing the needle, filling it with suppressant, disinfecting skin, and injecting it flowed smoothly like water.

The familiarity of it was almost painful to watch.

Wu Qie stood beside the bed and dutifully watched him finish everything before stepping aside.

Picking up the phone he had tossed away earlier, he saw several unread messages.

Lan Yin was accusing him of being rude.

Talking halfway through and suddenly disappearing.

Just moments ago he had been asking for secretly taken photos, and after risking his life to take them, he had not received the applause he deserved.

…What was so life threatening about secretly taking a few photos?

Wu Qie completely ignored Lan Yin’s complaints.

He thought he was making a fuss over nothing.

But compared to Alphas who immediately moved in to kiss and bite whenever they disagreed—

An Omega complaining through a phone about slow replies felt like an angel.

Wu Qie rubbed his tense forehead and unlocked his phone.

Zhao Shu sat beside the bed facing Pei Qingyu.

Watching the redness fade from the unconscious Alpha’s face and his breathing calm, he finally relaxed.

At the same time he complained internally.

‘Seriously, what kind of illness is this? Going into heat and specifically coming after a teacher who already has a fiancé.’

Lazily scrolling through his phone, he directly snapped a picture of Pei Qingyu looking weak and miserable.

Then he sent it to the Red Iron High joint training group and tagged several teachers.

“Looking like this, Pei Qingyu definitely won’t be training tomorrow, right? I mean—”

Zhao Shu turned toward Wu Qie.

But the next second—

He froze.

The black haired young man sat quietly on the sofa in the distance.

His eyes stared fixedly at the phone screen.

Silent to the point where he looked more like a fully dead statue than even Pei Qingyu.

Maybe the phone light was too bright.

Maybe it was an illusion.

But that already pale face now looked completely bloodless.

The entire person looked utterly lost.
