Bai Lan’s heart was filled with complicated emotions, leaving her feeling somewhat helpless.
Men naturally admired beautiful women, but now she herself had become that beautiful woman, and that was an entirely different matter.
The more exquisitely she dressed, the more pleasing she appeared to the eye.
But for whom was this beauty meant?
For herself?
During the past few years, Bai Lan had mostly relied on self-consolation.
What reason did she use to comfort herself?
She deceived herself by insisting that this world was merely a game and that she was simply playing a female character.
Although this reasoning was somewhat far-fetched, it was barely enough to convince Bai Lan.
At the very least, it allowed her to force herself to accept the reality she faced.
“Sigh…” Bai Lan looked at the ice-cold and noble woman reflected in the mirror, and aside from a deep sigh, she found herself unable to say anything.
She then took out the Ice Soul Condensing Crystal Chain that the Heavenly Dao had just rewarded her.
The description of the item clearly stated that it was a soul-bound artifact.
In other words, it was another object that would permanently bind itself to her.
‘It’s just an ornament,’ Bai Lan thought to herself.
‘Since I’ve already walked this far down the path of becoming a woman, I might as well continue all the way.’
Bai Lan completely gave up resisting.
There was nothing she could change anyway.
She immediately activated the treasure.
The chain instantly wrapped around her waist.
Then it spread upward like delicate vines, extending along her arms and across her clothing as though it had fused with the fabric itself.
If someone did not look carefully, they might mistake it for an ordinary decoration.
Yet surprisingly, it matched Bai Lan’s clothing perfectly and did not appear out of place in the slightest.
As for the other rewards, there was also a ninth-grade magic treasure.
This was essentially a free weapon.
However, compared with Bai Lan’s Cold Soul Sword (Hanpo), its quality was clearly inferior, so she had no intention of using it.
Then there were the Luoshen Sect’s inner disciple cultivation technique, the Luoshen Grand Codex, as well as inner disciple martial arts such as the Heavenly Water Sword Art and the Canglan Palm Technique.
Finally, there was her Direct Disciple identity token.
These items were standard resources given to inner disciples upon entering the sect.
Any more advanced resources could only be obtained within their respective factions.
After Bai Lan finished dressing, Ye Yuyan approached her.
The moment she saw Bai Lan, Ye Yuyan’s eyes widened slightly, a trace of amazement appearing in her gaze.
Although Bai Lan’s aura remained cold, it now carried a faint mixture of melancholy and proud aloofness.
Most notably, there was a restrained heroic aura about her that was incredibly captivating.
Even Ye Yuyan, a woman herself, could not help but glance at her several more times.
“Excellent, truly excellent!” Ye Yuyan praised.
“This is the first time I’ve seen someone wear the Disciple Attire of the Immortal’s Abode with such elegance. Not even little Xue possesses this kind of presence. Bai Lan, congratulations. You are now a Direct Disciple of the Immortal’s Abode.”
“Thank you, Martial Aunt,” Bai Lan replied.
“Since everything is settled, I will take my leave.”
“Go ahead. Your days in the Luoshen Sect will be long,” Ye Yuyan said.
“Of course, you will still need time to become familiar with the inner sect. Let me warn you—although the competition among inner sect disciples may appear less obvious than in the outer sect, it is actually full of hidden undercurrents.”
Ye Yuyan’s words contained a subtle warning.
However, Bai Lan already understood this very clearly.
Competition was an inherent part of cultivation sects.
Although there might be friendly senior and junior sisters, there would always be individuals with ulterior motives.
Why was this so?
Because the number of disciples at each inner sect level was strictly limited.
For example, each faction could only have ten High-Level Inner Disciples.
The treatment for High-Level Disciples was double that of Intermediate Disciples, meaning far greater cultivation resources.
Therefore, some Intermediate Disciples who wished to become High-Level Disciples would inevitably try various methods to replace those above them.
Once cultivators stepped onto the path of cultivation, it was incredibly difficult for them to stop.
“I understand. Thank you for the reminder, Martial Aunt,” Bai Lan said gratefully before leaving the Inner Disciple Management Office.
Luo Yuyan was waiting outside the entrance.
But when she saw Bai Lan come out, her eyes widened in astonishment.
Clearly, she too was stunned by Bai Lan’s current appearance.
Clothes truly made the person.
Just changing her attire had completely transformed Bai Lan’s aura.
“My heavens, a celestial maiden has descended!” Luo Yuyan exclaimed.
“Junior Sister, your appearance is truly every woman’s dream! When will I ever have such an enchanting look, Senior Sister?”
Hearing Luo Yuyan’s praise, Bai Lan felt somewhat embarrassed.
“Ahem, Senior Sister,” Bai Lan replied.
“When your mental state advances from that of a young girl to that of a mature woman, your body will naturally grow as well.”
At those words, Luo Yuyan’s expression immediately collapsed.
“Ah… but the advancement of my mental state isn’t something I can control,” Luo Yuyan wailed while clutching her head.
“I’ve been stuck at this stage for so many years. Who knows when I’ll finally mature?”
“Then there is nothing I can do,” Bai Lan said.
“A cultivator’s physical growth is inherently connected to their psychological age.”
“What should we do next? Could you show me around the Luoshen Sect?”
Seeing Bai Lan make this request, Luo Yuyan did not refuse.
“Alright, let’s go!” Luo Yuyan said happily.
“We’ll start with the Disciple Market. That’s where we buy daily necessities. You can purchase anything you need there.”
She pointed toward a dense cluster of buildings beneath a colossal flowering tree ahead.
The area surrounding that enormous flowering tree was where disciples from various factions of the Luoshen Sect gathered and conducted activities.
“There?” Bai Lan asked curiously.
“Speaking of which, Senior Sister, what exactly is that enormous flowering tree? It doesn’t look like an ordinary tree.”
She asked because even her spiritual eyes could not fully determine its nature.
It only displayed a single name.
The Profound Cherry Tree.
There was no other information.
“Oh, that one?” Luo Yuyan replied.
“That is the symbol of our Luoshen Sect, called the Profound Cherry Tree.”
“Now that you are a Direct Disciple, it doesn’t hurt to tell you.”
“This tree is currently the greatest foundation of our Luoshen Sect.”
“I heard that this tree does not originate from our world, though I don’t quite understand what that means.”
“Not from our world?” Bai Lan was startled.
“Does that mean there are other dimensions in this world?”
“I don’t know that much,” Luo Yuyan replied while shaking her head.
“I’m just a small Golden Core cultivator. I only heard my master mention it once.”
Seeing that Luo Yuyan did not know more, Bai Lan did not continue asking.
Instead, she followed her toward the Disciple Market.
However, in her mind she was already questioning Yun Yao, asking whether this world truly had multiple dimensions.
Yun Yao replied that the Heavenly Domain consisted of six overlapping parallel worlds.
The Heavenly Domain was the Human Realm, alongside the Demon Realm, Spirit Realm, and Ghost Realm.
Theoretically, there were also the Dark Realm and the Celestial Realm, but those two were of a higher tier.
The Celestial Realm, for example, existed between the Human Realm and the Immortal Realm.
The average strength of cultivators there surpassed those within the Heavenly Domain.
As for the Dark Realm, it was the intersection between the Human Realm and the Underworld.
Both were unique worlds with their own independent laws.
However, all six worlds were part of the Heavenly Domain.
They were simply six completely different parallel planes.
Channels also existed between them.
However, this was knowledge known only to mid- to high-level cultivators and was generally not revealed to lower-level cultivators.
As for the Profound Cherry Tree, it was actually a spiritual tree seed that Luoshen had obtained from the Spirit Realm long ago and later planted in her cultivation dojo after bringing it back to the Human Realm.
