Join the ServerOnce they were in a secluded spot away from the crowds, Xi Xue instantly used her spatial ability to teleport them back to the villa.
Gently placing Ruobing on the bed, Xi Xue softly said, “Be a good girl. I’ll give you what you want when I return.”
After speaking, she turned to leave, but Ruobing seized her hand.
As those soft, small fingers clasped hers, Xi Xue’s heart pulsed with a summer tremor.
All agitation and vexation vanished, replaced by a refreshing coolness.
She turned her head, meeting Ruobing’s tender, expressive eyes, which shimmered like a hazy spring.
Her gaze dropped lower, to Ruobing’s lips, now plump and glistening, enticing her to steal a kiss.
Gulp. Xi Xue swallowed hard.
Lan Ruobing said nothing, or rather, she was beyond forming coherent words.
Her mind was a blank slate, leaving only primal instincts fueled by the heavy dose of venom.
All she knew was a searing heat, a burning itch, an unbearable discomfort—a desperate, biological craving.
Her body was already uncontrollably damp, but she lacked the strength to care.
In fact, she no longer wanted to care; she yearned for things to go further.
But that required Xi Xue.
She clutched Xi Xue’s hand, gazing at her with longing. She could still speak, though her words were strained.
Even without Ruobing saying anything, Xi Xue understood the yearning in her eyes.
After all, she was the one who had caused it.
Fearing that Ruobing might secretly use her Water Healing to dispel the potency of the aphrodisiac while she was away at the competition, Xi Xue had injected a substantial dose.
Such a quantity would overwhelm even a divine dragon, let alone Ruobing in her human form.
What surprised her, however, was that Ruobing had endured it on the ride back, never secretly using Water Healing, as if truly willing to accept the punishment.
Consequently, the potency had taken full root; even Water Healing could no longer counteract it now.
Once it took hold, only the body’s frantic reactions remained.
Seeing Ruobing in such distress, Xi Xue grew anxious.
She still had one match left in the tournament and needed to resolve it quickly before returning to alleviate her beloved’s suffering.
“I understand, I understand, Ruobing. I’ll be back as soon as possible. Wait for me, I’m coming right back!” Xi Xue held her hand tenderly, stroking her flushed cheek.
“Wait for me patiently, alright? Be a good girl, understand? Don’t run around; stay in bed and wait. Did you hear me?”
Lan Ruobing gripped Xi Xue’s hand.
She desperately wanted to nod, but her body grew increasingly uncomfortable.
She gasped, and after several breaths of hot mist, she managed to say, “I… want… quick… hah, hah…”
She wanted to say, ‘I want you, come back quickly.’ But she could only manage fragments.
To Xi Xue’s ears, it sounded like an urgent plea: ‘I want you, give it to me quickly!’
Hearing Ruobing express such a desire for her ignited a raging inferno within Xi Xue.
Xi Xue struggled to maintain her composure, holding Ruobing’s hand and kissing her forehead. “Be good. I’ll be back very soon.”
Then, she vanished on the spot.
At Xiaoyue Middle School, on the training grounds, the final match of the Gold Cup competition was about to begin.
Xi Xue appeared on the field in a rush, eager to finish the match quickly so she could attend to Ruobing.
Across from her stood the opponent with lightning wings on their back.
Before the match even started, that person summoned their lightning wings, intending to mimic Lan Ruobing by ascending to fight from the sky.
This was the safest method; after watching several matches, they had realized Xi Xue couldn’t naturally fly.
The match had not yet begun when the Chief Examiner picked up the microphone and announced, “To all examinees, and all audience members in Dawnmoon City, Huaxia Guard University has just sent a notification.”
“Examinee Lan Ruobing has been directly admitted and will no longer participate in subsequent examinations!”
At these words, the entire venue erupted in an uproar.
Many were perplexed. Xi Xue’s performance had been flawlessly dominant throughout, yet Huaxia Guard University had made no mention of her.
Instead, it was Lan Ruobing, whom Xi Xue had defeated, who received an early admission notice based purely on her raw potential.
Signaling for silence, the Chief Examiner continued, “Huaxia Guard University recognized Examinee Lan Ruobing’s exceptional talent and thus decided to admit her directly. However, this does not occupy a standard competition slot.”
“In other words, the rewards for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Cup competitions remain unchanged and will proceed.”
“This means Huaxia Guard University will admit four examinees from Dawnmoon City this year, with Lan Ruobing being a special admission. Her special admission trophy serves as a Silver Cup equivalent. The remaining competitions will continue as planned.”
At this announcement, the entire venue boiled over with excitement.
Especially the examinees who had lost confidence after being beaten by Xi Xue. To them, Xi Xue and Lan Ruobing were sure to take up the top slots.
Xi Xue’s victory went without saying, and no one was confident they could defeat Lan Ruobing’s giant dragon, let alone endure its full-screen water attacks.
Now that Lan Ruobing was specially admitted and her slot vacated, the previously dejected examinees were suddenly filled with hope.
After the Chief Examiner finished the announcement, the competition resumed.
Captain Xianglan was thrilled. Lan Ruobing’s admission was within her expectations, but being a special admission meant her superiors recognized that Ruobing possessed even greater potential than she had imagined.
Xi Xue was even more ecstatic.
It was like getting a pillow when you were sleepy; she had been fretting over Ruobing having to fight in upcoming matches while exhausted, but now it was settled.
Finish this match, then head home to take care of business!
The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Cup competitions were scheduled for three days.
Typically, one day was allocated for each cup.
However, because the Gold Cup was a decisive battle between top experts and usually ended very quickly, local exam centers often held the Silver Cup competition after the first day to allow more time for the Bronze Cup.
An exception was someone like Xi Xue, who had brutally eliminated ninety percent of the examinees before even half of the first morning was over.
Therefore, the Silver Cup competition would typically be held in the afternoon, after the examinees had recovered their energy.
If Ruobing still had to compete, given her current state, the two of them would undoubtedly be entangled for a long time upon returning. By the time Xi Xue had finished and fully satisfied her, the Silver Cup competition would have already begun.
Ruobing, unable to walk, would also need to expend massive amounts of magic to heal herself, making the competition very difficult.
Now, however, it was perfect!
She could ‘play’ with Ruobing all day upon returning!
The thought alone filled her with excitement!
Xi Xue’s agitated mood vanished, and her demeanor returned to its usual calm and confident state.
Seeing the change in Xi Xue’s condition, Captain Xianglan naturally assumed that her frantic appearance earlier was merely due to her rushing back to secure a spot for Lan Ruobing.
With this realization, she felt much more at ease.
It seemed Xi Xue and Lan Ruobing truly were good friends. With that settled, the remaining problem was the black-masked person.
Captain Xianglan understood that the criminal’s target was likely Lan Ruobing.
So, after Xi Xue’s match ended, she planned to go with Xi Xue to look after Lan Ruobing and, incidentally, set an ambush.
The countdown began on the large screen.
Finally, when the timer ended and the alert sounded, the match officially began!
The opponent with lightning wings rapidly ascended, controlling their flight. Their wings were fast; once airborne, even Xi Xue’s terrifying speed couldn’t easily deal with them without revealing her abilities.
But just as the opponent was executing their planned strategy, they suddenly felt a tremendous, invisible force erupt in their abdomen.
They were instantly sent flying backward, smashing violently into the high wall of the spectator stands.
What happened!?!?
Xi Xue was still in her original spot, and no one else was around, so why had they been kicked flying!?!?
The referee’s whistle answered their confusion.
The match ended. Xi Xue won!
Xi Xue stepped onto the stage, accepted the Gold Cup award, collected Ruobing’s special Silver Cup award, and then left without a moment’s delay.
Everyone present looked with pity at the dusty figure groaning in the rubble.
Honestly, they didn’t understand why that person had stood there like an idiot in the air, letting Xi Xue hit them.
It wasn’t until the expert judges later explained that Xi Xue must have used a powerful, invisible projection ability that everyone finally understood.
At this, people’s gazes toward the defeated opponent changed to sympathy. For Xi Xue to finally use her abilities indicated that she wanted this over instantly.
After the match, Captain Xianglan rushed to chase after Xi Xue’s frantic figure.
However, by the time she descended from the spectator stands, in the blink of an eye, Xi Xue was completely gone!
Where did she go?
