“Buddy? What’s wrong? Why the shocked face? What are you looking at?” A guest attending the charity event noticed their companion staring off to the side, a look of utter astonishment etched onto their face.
“My heavens, who is that beauty? Hey, buddy, isn’t that Mr. Tule, Lady Soronna, and Lord Mofimod sitting beside the white-haired beauty? What is her status? Could she be a princess? She’s absolutely stunning! Though, her pure white armor seems oddly familiar.” Following his companion’s gaze, the man who had just spoken found his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets. He gaped in disbelief at the unfamiliar white-haired beauty in pristine white armor, seated among the prominent figures. His hand incessantly patted his companion’s shoulder.
“N-no… that’s not… that’s…” The companion, whose shoulder was being slapped, stared fixedly at the white-haired beauty in pure white armor. They spoke to their friend, their voice stiff.
“Who is it? Hurry up and tell me!” The man impatiently shook his companion, demanding an answer.
“It’s… it’s… Lord Domu…” Despite being continuously shaken, the companion’s initial look of surprise had transformed into one of utter fascination. His eyes seemed to hold nothing but the white-haired beauty in the distance as he dreamily answered his friend’s question.
“Wh-what?!” At this, it wasn’t just the man who cried out in shock. The entire venue seemed to be swept by another colossal storm. Those who hadn’t been paying full attention to the earlier exchange between the two demigods, Domu and Mofimod, now erupted in disbelieving shouts of astonishment.
“Are you saying that beautiful person over there, with the adorable white single ponytail, large eyes, rosy cheeks, and tender pink lips… is… is the legendary mercenary… the Silver Reaper… Lord Domu??” Innumerable cries of shock echoed through the event hall, and these astonished shouts completely blanked Domu’s mind, who had just been feeling quite pleased with himself.
‘How could this be? How could this be? My makeup skills are so good even Na’er couldn’t see through them, so why… why are these people still shouting… shouting… ‘beauty’? It shouldn’t be like this… The makeup was clearly a success, and it truly resembles my former appearance, doesn’t it? How could this be?’ Domu’s previously upturned lips now drooped, his face turning a little pale. His eyes instinctively sought out Soronna beside him, as if pleading for help.
“Domu… don’t scare me. Why… why did you suddenly take off your helmet? While I really want to see your face, there are so many people here…” Soronna, seeing Domu’s distressed gaze, felt a pang of heartache. She quickly took Domu’s hand with one of her own, covering her mouth with the other as she whispered her question.
“Soronna, do you, do you notice anything different about how I look now compared to usual?” Domu ignored Mr. Tule and Mofimod, who were still dumbfounded nearby. He turned his back, pulling Soronna in front of him, his beautiful brows slightly furrowed, and asked her with a look of unease.
“Hmm… Looking closely, Domu, you do look a little different now compared to before… Your hair is tied up! It’s super cute, Domu, I really love your current hairstyle! And… your facial features are more defined now, hehe… it seems you’ve become even more feminine, Domu! Oh, and… ah, I know! Domu, when did you secretly put on makeup? And you did it so adorably! Wuwuwu, I don’t want my Domu to be seen by so many people! Domu belongs only to me!”
Soronna scrutinized Domu’s appearance, looking left and right, then excitedly jumped up and hugged Domu’s neck, giggling. However, by the end, she seemed a little upset, pouting and pretending to cry with a wronged expression.
‘Hair… cu-cute… features… fe-feminine… ma-makeup…’ Upon hearing Soronna’s completely honest answer, Domu froze in shock.
‘N-no… it’s not like that… Tying my hair up was supposed to make me look more heroic, dashing, incredibly handsome, and charming… The features… that’s… that’s something I specifically learned from a beauty magazine, which said that making facial features more defined could highlight a man’s charm. As for makeup… this… this… this was also learned from an extremely rare book called “Korean Oppa’s Super Professional Makeup Techniques” from back in the day. It was said that men who applied makeup using these techniques were very popular with girls!’
“Hehehe, hahahaha. So that’s it. So Lord Domu’s appearance beneath the helmet is so… enchanting. I truly understand Lord Domu’s concerns now. As a man, possessing such a beautiful face is indeed a very troublesome matter. However… judging by Lord Domu’s appearance, he is absolutely among the top three most beautiful women I have ever seen… a man, hahahaha!”
Mofimod, who had been somewhat dazed by the sight of Domu’s face beneath the helmet, suddenly burst into joyous laughter. Lord Mofimod, the Second Legion Commander of the Kingdom, a demigod-level expert, was now clutching his stomach, slumped over the table, laughing unrestrainedly. Even his usually chilling eyes now seemed somewhat amiable, clearly brimming with mirth.
Although Mofimod was now openly laughing, no one would have guessed that the Second Legion Commander’s earlier daze wasn’t due to shock at Domu’s appearance. Rather, the moment Domu removed his helmet and a cute smile graced his lips, Mofimod felt an electric shock. This strange sensation traveled from Mofimod’s scalp throughout his entire body, to the point where Mofimod, a demigod-level expert, was momentarily unable to control his own body, trembling slightly. ‘This is not simple… this… man… is absolutely not simple. This man, with his exquisitely beautiful, pure, and harmless appearance, is definitely putting on a facade. Not only has he used despicable means to capture Princess Soronna’s heart, but now he even tries to use that… that adorable smile to devour my will. How ridiculous… I, Mofimod, will absolutely not let your schemes succeed!’
Mofimod frowned, ceaselessly pondering a countermeasure: how to tear apart this man’s disguise, to reveal his true face to everyone, especially to Princess Soronna. He needed to expose the true nature of this terrifying, deeply cunning man who knew how to exploit his own advantages… ‘Yes, I must not be deceived by his current harmless facade. This is absolutely the insidious plot of this little… pretty boy!’ With this thought, Mofimod mercilessly ridiculed Domu.
“Mr. Mofimod… please don’t make such jokes…” Hearing Mr. Mofimod’s words, Domu, who had been speaking with Soronna, turned to face Mofimod. He frowned slightly, his lips parting gently, presenting a pitiful sight that would move anyone.
“Uh…” Although Domu’s voice still sounded deep and magnetic, seeing the expression Domu now wore, Mofimod felt his scalp tingle again. An indescribable sensation coursed from his scalp throughout his entire body, even making him feel somewhat rigid. ‘This is… this is truly terrifying,’ Mofimod thought with immense horror. Not even when facing tens of thousands of the Actica Empire’s most elite warriors, nor when fighting the Actica Empire’s Third Imperial Prince—a demigod-level expert—with only his Saint-level strength, had Mofimod ever felt such fear.
“My sincerest apologies… I truly never imagined that the true appearance of the powerful Lord Domu would be so dazzling, so… perfect! To have the honor of becoming Lord Domu’s friend is truly my fortune! Lord Domu, please forgive me. When I saw the smile you revealed just now, I actually developed feelings of admiration for a moment… I am truly… truly… deeply ashamed!” Just as Mofimod was at a loss for how to respond, Mr. Tule, who had been in a daze, seemed to snap back to reality. He spread his arms and bowed deeply to Domu, an expression of utmost sincerity pleading for forgiveness. However, Mr. Tule’s words startled both Domu and Soronna.
“However… I wonder… if I might have the honor of inviting Lord Domu to dinner tonight?” Mr. Tule, now standing upright, displayed a mysterious smile on his handsome face. His eyes gazed tenderly at the somewhat dumbfounded Domu, uttering words that left everyone around them stunned. From somewhere, he produced a rose and held it out to Domu.
“No! No! No! Absolutely not! Domu is mine!” Before Domu could react to the unfolding events, Soronna rushed forward once more, spreading her arms to shield Domu. She loudly declared her ownership, then glared indignantly at Mr. Tule.
“That is truly a pity… However… I apologize, Princess Soronna, but love doesn’t follow the rules of precedence, does it? I will not give up so easily.” Mr. Tule shook his head regretfully, then reached up to smooth his dazzling golden hair. He then flashed a brilliant smile at Soronna.
“You… but… but Domu is also a man!” Soronna, shocked by Mr. Tule’s words, widened her eyes as she looked at him.
“And what of it? Does Lady Soronna believe that love cannot exist between two people of the same gender?” Mr. Tule elegantly adjusted his tie, then gave Soronna a meaningful look, speaking without a care for the astonished gazes of those around them.
