The Unexpected Discovery

Chapter 671,124 words10 min read

She stormed all the way to the entrance of Building 322. Humiliatingly, she registered with the doorman and surrendered her student ID, then huffed and puffed her way up to the third floor.

Initially, she refrained from any impulsive assault, such as breaking down the door. Instead, she pressed her ear against it, listening for any sounds from within the dorm.

If, by some remote chance, those bastards discovered her unspeakable secret, she would have no choice but to abandon her laptop and live incognito in the girls’ dorm.

Fortunately, it seemed last night’s intense battle had left them utterly exhausted. Inside the dorm, three thunderous snores rose and fell, a rhythmic symphony of slumber.

She listened quietly for a while, discerning each of the three ‘boiled pig head’ sounds until she could clearly identify them all. Only then did she confirm that there was no enemy presence ahead.

Lacking the imposing aura, strength, and booming voice of Senior Sister Xiao Ru, she knew it wasn’t realistic to shout the three men, currently entwined with their beds, awake from outside the dorm. Moreover, it would be quite inhumane to do so.

However, Senior Sister Xiao Ru’s absence also had its advantages. Specifically, she didn’t have to worry about her identity being exposed; she could simply waltz in and open the door with her old key!

And so, amidst the ‘boiled pig head’ trio, the door creaked open. For safety’s sake, she cautiously poked her head in first, ready to rush in, catch them off guard, grab her laptop, and flee if anyone suddenly awoke.

Thankfully, the three men inside were sleeping like dead pigs, offering no defensive reaction to her sudden arrival.

She tiptoed in, gently closing the door behind her. During this, Linghu Ruoxu seemed to turn over, sending a cold sweat down her spine. Fortunately, after this ‘lazy donkey roll,’ he sank back into a deep sleep.

Carefully, she opened her laptop. To be absolutely safe, she immediately shredded that fateful ‘New Folder.’ A crisis was finally averted.

Having accomplished all this without a soul knowing, she stood in the middle of the dorm, gazing up at her three brothers still lost in their dreams. Her eyes then fell upon her own empty bed, and a wave of profound emotion and nostalgia washed over her.

Ever since she had become a girl, it had been a very, very long time since she had slept in her own bed. Of course, the reason was absolutely not, as Yang Laoer had blurted out, “Because Fourth Brother is afraid of getting pregnant!” It was more a mix of shyness, a sense of things having changed, and a lingering melancholy for the past.

Yet, this current situation seemed like a perfect opportunity. Even if she were to climb up now, she doubted anyone would ever know.

As if by some strange impulse, the thought took hold. She crouched down, untied her shoelaces, then softly slipped off both shoes. Silently, she climbed the ladder between her and Guo Hao’s beds, timidly settling onto her own bunk.

In that instant, an uncontrollable sense of familiarity made her feel as though she had been transported through time. Her body instinctively collapsed onto the bunk, her cheek resting against the soft pillow. Her feet, still restless, tried to measure themselves against the length of the blanket, curious how much shorter she had become since turning into a girl.

In a daze, a profound drowsiness swept over her. She felt as if she were immersed in a familiar embrace, her body and mind growing hazy and lightheaded. In her semiconscious state, she thought, ‘Perhaps I should just sleep a little longer?’ After all, at this hour, no食堂 would be serving food anyway.

As she drifted between sleep and wakefulness, she vaguely heard a complex, strange rustling sound from Guo Hao’s bunk across from her. Then, from the other side of the dorm, near Yang Laoer and Linghu Ruoxu, came the sound of footsteps descending a ladder. Hearing this commotion, her initial thought was that it had nothing to do with her, but then, a sudden realization struck her. She remembered a certain vulgar scoundrel in the dorm who had, earlier that day, boasted about wanting to ‘have fun’ with her.

A jolt went through her, and she snapped out of her daze. Just then, Yang Laoer, still half-asleep and almost sleepwalking, was climbing up.

Seeing her sit up like a startled deer, Yang Laoer mumbled to her, still groggy, “Fourth Brother, you’re here too… Ah… ha…” He punctuated his words with a long yawn.

Her nerves completely frayed, she didn’t know how to react to his casual greeting. Although he was currently still lost in dreamland and utterly disoriented, who knew if a careless word from her might suddenly incite his lust, causing him to pounce on her?

In her desperation, she could only nod vaguely, watching him warily, all the while preparing her throat to let out a piercing scream for Guo Hao and Linghu Ruoxu if the worst should happen.

Fortunately, this fellow, perhaps enlightened by the Buddha or Bodhisattva Guanyin in his dreams, reacted to her abnormal calmness. He merely gave her a perfunctory nod in return, then turned directly towards Guo Hao’s side.

“Guo Hao, Guo Hao, wake up! It’s your turn to get food from the cafeteria this week. Hurry up, your three brothers are starving!” he said, still half-asleep, yet without hesitation, he yanked Guo Hao’s blanket right off.

So that was it. According to the habits of these lazybones in the dorm, everyone usually tried to stay in the dorm on weekends, making meals a big problem. There was no choice but to arrange for someone to be on duty each week. At mealtime, they would gather all four meal cards and head to the cafeteria to bring food back for the others.

She was quite displeased by his talk of them being ‘starving,’ but at this critical moment, preserving her own purity and chastity was paramount, so she didn’t dare voice any objections.

She heard Guo Hao’s blanket being violently pulled off by Yang Laoer. Then, for some unknown reason, Yang Laoer froze in place as if acupoints had been struck, one hand still clutching Guo Hao’s blanket.

She was initially hesitant to join the commotion, but Yang Laoer’s appearance seemed genuinely abnormal. Mustering her courage, she hunched over and crawled closer, peering in. At that moment, she, too, froze.

On Guo Hao’s bunk, the bedding was disheveled, and one corner of the blanket was clutched in Yang Laoer’s hand. Beneath the blanket, half-hidden, curled a girl with snow-white hair, naked, skin like congealed fat, delicate and adorable… a girl?!
