At the moment when Lee Hyun-seung used [Territory Transfer] in the cave.
[Which territory would you like to transfer to?]
Lee Hyun-seung paused for a moment, looking at the pop-up window.
‘Territory 1… is where I was supposed to go originally, but I had ordered to leave it temporarily empty and hide while
I drew attention, so there’s no need to go there now. Territory 3 is where Han Seong-gil is. He has the characteristics
of a berserker, so he can hold out on his own…’
After considering several possibilities, the most suitable location for Lee Hyun-seung to go was Territory 2, where
Jeong Eun-seo was.
[Would you like to transfer to Territory 2?]
Lee Hyun-seung mentally accepted, and his body began to be sucked in. At the same time, he found himself in an
unknown, dark blue space.
[Territory transfer in progress. Please wait a moment.]
-Taaaaang-!
As soon as the pop-up appeared, Lee Hyun-seung shot himself with a gun.
-Healing bullet has hit. -Your injuries and damage are rapidly recovering.
Luckily, there was no restriction on moving his arms while being transferred, and the shot was fired correctly.
Thanks to this, Lee Hyun-seung was able to heal Yoo Hee-yeon, who had been injured, before the transfer
completed.
[Territory transfer will be completed shortly.]
Just as Lee Hyun-seung’s healing was almost finished, the unknown space began to shrink, and he was sucked
through a gate-like portal.
-Whuuuuuung!
[Transfer to Territory 2 completed.] [Remaining cooldown for Territory Transfer skill: 30 minutes 00 seconds.]
Lee Hyun-seung arrived in Territory 2.
Upon arriving in Territory 2, Lee Hyun-seung quickly checked Jeong Eun-seo’s condition and then coldly addressed
Nam In-woo, who was muttering from behind.
“Stop begging to die. I wasn’t planning on letting you go easy anyway.”
Lee Hyun-seung’s chilling voice echoed. He looked around.
Upon inspection, it turned out that all the F-Class members remaining in Territory 2 had been eliminated. About 19
members had been knocked out. Honestly, that wasn’t a problem. He hadn’t expected much from them anyway.
Lee Hyun-seung was aware of the gap between A-Class and F-Class. But there was a difference between thinking
about it and actually seeing the situation unfold before him.
It was a massacre. All of them had been taken out by just three people. It was frustrating. But at the same time, anger
welled up inside him.
-Drip
Lee Hyun-seung looked at Jeong Eun-seo. A large sword was embedded in her arm. He didn’t need to look further to
know who had done it—[Epic] ranked swordsman Kang Jun-hyeong. He had likely driven the sword into her arm.
Lee Hyun-seo inspected other parts of her body. She was covered in wounds—slashes from daggers, scorch marks
from magic, and there wasn’t a single spot left unharmed. Blood was spilling from various places.
But Jeong Eun-seo’s expression was not one of fear or dread. It was a face of relief. A face of someone who had
achieved something and had been waiting for it to happen.
-Creeeak
Lee Hyun-seung was enraged. The purpose of the class elimination battle was to eliminate the enemy. It wasn’t a
stage to show off power, inflict pain, and toy with them. Fights could happen during the struggle for territories, but
there was no need to injure and toy with them this much. His anger began to rise.
Lee Hyun-seung had honestly thought that if Jeong Eun-seo didn’t hold on, she might be eliminated. If she held on
longer, that would be great, but even if she didn’t, he had Han Seong-gil and a few other useful elements that would
make victory possible. He had judged that it wouldn’t be a major issue.
Lee Hyun-seung looked at Jeong Eun-seo and said,
“Why did you hold on so foolishly? With injuries like that, you could have just surrendered. It must have hurt…”
Jeong Eun-seo smiled and replied.
“Didn’t you say you believed in me? You said you believed in me, so I can’t disappoint you.”
Lee Hyun-seung recalled the words he had said to Jeong Eun-seo before the match began.
If Jeong Eun-seo could hold the territory properly, it would make the match go much more smoothly. He had said it
lightly, with that thought in mind.
‘How foolish…’
Is it really because of those words that she endured until her body was broken? He felt guilty. And he was truly
grateful. She had given her all just because of a single sentence.
“Thank you. Rest now.”
Jeong Eun-seo, her legs giving out, collapsed onto the ground.
Lee Hyun-seung turned his attention back to Nam In-woo.
“Nam In-woo.”
He had often crossed paths with him when he was in A-Class. His class was Thief. He had a very strong sense of
pride and was desperate to show off his abilities.
Lee Hyun-seung questioned him.
“Why go so far to torment her? With the kinds of wounds you left, you could have dealt a fatal blow easily, so why not
just finish it?”
Jeong Eun-seo was a mage. And mages were vulnerable in close combat. With a Thief using their class skills and
receiving support, there was no way she could have fought back properly. Jeong Eun-seo must have shown many
openings, and the evidence was all over her body—wounds everywhere.
The wounds were scattered across her body. It was clear that he deliberately avoided vital spots, such as arteries. The
blood loss and pain-inducing areas were targeted. It couldn’t help but feel malicious.
Nam In-woo answered with an incredulous look.
“Why didn’t I just knock her out right away and leave it at that? Isn’t it obvious? It’s boring if I just eliminate her
right away.”
He twirled a throwing knife in his hand as he continued.
“She kept acting all high and mighty with her magic, so I just had to teach her a lesson. I get satisfaction from
crushing arrogant bastards like her.”
Lee Hyun-seung bit down on a mana stone from his messenger bag.
Then, he spoke to Nam In-woo.
“Listen.”
Nam In-woo looked at him with a confused expression.
“Listen? What the hell are you talking about?”
Lee Hyun-seung’s eyes locked on the throwing knife in Nam In-woo’s hand.
“Listen carefully if you don’t want to die.”
“…? What’s this…”
Lee Hyun-seung quickly cast the [C] Gunmaster’s Agile Step skill. Mana enveloped his body.
Like a bullet, Lee Hyun-seung shot forward at an incredible speed.
“This… what’s going on…!”
Nam In-woo, shocked, tried to raise his throwing knife to defend himself, but Lee Hyun-seung’s speed outpaced his
reaction.
Using all his momentum, Lee Hyun-seung launched a kick, sending the throwing knife flying high into the air.
“Ugh!”
Nam In-woo quickly tried to draw another dagger. But Lee Hyun-seung wouldn’t just stand there and watch.
As Nam In-woo reached for his dagger, Lee Hyun-seung immediately aimed his gun at his hand and fired. The bullet
hit Nam In-woo’s hand.
“AAAHHH—! F*ck!”
Nam In-woo’s right hand was struck by the bullet, creating a hole that sent blood pouring out. The blood flowed so
steadily that the ground was soon drenched in it.
“Fck… fcking hell… ughhhhh—!”
Despite the pain being somewhat limited, Nam In-woo clutched his right hand with his left, twisting his body and crying in agony, tears streaming down his face.
This was thanks to the Gunmaster effect that Lee Hyun-seung possessed. The additional damage didn’t just increase
the power of the attack—it increased the damage the target received overall. This meant that the pain experienced
from a hit was also intensified.
“Gasp… gasp… gasp….”
Nam In-woo was struggling to breathe, clearly suffering.
Lee Hyun-seung swiftly closed the distance and reached right in front of Nam In-woo.
With his gun in hand, he clasped his hands together and raised them, then brought them down with force.
The power he demonstrated wasn’t just from raw strength—it was a result of the Gunblade skill being activated.
[C] Gunblade – When using a gun to attack or defend, additional force is applied. The increase in force is influenced
by the job rank and job level.
Nam In-woo crashed to the ground, coughing up blood and gasping for air. Lee Hyun-seung looked down at him.
“Pathetic little bastard.”
Lee Hyun-seung fired three shots into Nam In-woo’s body.
The bullets hit his left hand, left thigh, and right shoulder.
“Ugh… enough… enough…”
Nam In-woo, writhing in unimaginable pain, had forgotten that he could surrender. The confident demeanor he had
earlier was gone, replaced by the face of a crying child, blood dripping from every part of his body.
But Lee Hyun-seung paid no attention to his pleas and stomped down on his head with his foot.
After a few more strikes, Nam In-woo stopped moving. Eventually, he was forcibly summoned out of the stage.
[A-Class participant has been eliminated.]
A voice echoed over the loudspeakers. Lee Hyun-seung glanced at the stiffened Kang Jun-hyung and Jeong Sae-ron,
who were frozen in place, and spoke.
“You two joined in when that bastard was doing his disgusting shit, didn’t you?”
In an instant, Kang Jun-hyung and Jeong Sae-ron gulped at the terrifying expression on Lee Hyun-seung’s face.
‘What… what kind of look is that…’
It was a look that seemed like he could kill someone. The overwhelming pressure radiating from him was beyond
belief.
In the face of their frozen fear, Lee Hyun-seung bit down on a mana stone.
At that moment, Jeong Sae-ron raised her magic staff, and Kang Jun-hyung picked up the dagger that Nam In-woo
had dropped.
“Why? Do you think you two can do something about it?”
Lee Hyun-seung leaned forward as if he were about to charge at them.
“If you can last, then try to struggle.”
And with that, his body shot forward like a bullet.
