As I was raining down the meteor shower, I suddenly thought.
‘Do I really want to destroy this place?’
A very simple question.
But with that one question, I realized that my emotions were fluctuating in an unusually strange way.
Unnaturally.
“…”
As soon as I realized that fact, I looked at the ‘Seonibaek Lin’ inside this gate.
The person inside the gate who possessed a fragment of my soul.
But this was a strange thing.
Usually, the people inside a gate do not possess a soul.
Especially since a Constellation’s soul is powerful, it’s even more so.
Once my mind was awakened, I began to see strange things.
The people here who were taking no action even though a meteor shower like this was falling, and some kind of disgusting and sticky touch.
Suddenly, I realized that it was touching the connection between me and my contractors.
And as soon as I realized that, the touch disappeared as if a bug were running away.
I thought I heard Sion’s voice from a distance.
When I looked at the sky again, I was facing a translucent Tower of Babel.
It was the ‘Tilted Nebula’.
“Oh.”
A voice like a scraping iron plate rang in my ears.
“You were quick to notice.”
“Nebula.”
I learned something after becoming a Constellation.
The being named merely as a ‘Demon King’ here was something that had grown in power by devouring dozens of dimensions.
Something that could not be described or defined.
‘Something’ was what they were.
‘But can they intervene in this gate?’
It’s true that this gate is not a properly opened gate, so it has many loopholes.
But that’s a hole that a mouse can go through, not a hole that something with the weight of an elephant can go through.
“What do you intend to do here?”
“You should know well.”
The translucent Tower of Babel rang.
It was the sound of laughter.
“Revenge!”
“For that, your loss is too great.”
My soul fragment was here.
Originally, a few soul fragments would fall off when one becomes a Constellation, and that was something very precious to the ‘somethings’.
Although it was a fragment that had fallen off after being judged as ‘unnecessary’ as a Constellation, it was still not worth wasting on role-playing in a place like this.
“That’s fine.”
“Because I think I’m going to have a younger sibling”
“So it’s very fine.”
“Revenge.”
“Revenge.”
“Revenge.”
It was the tone of a child clapping his hands at something interesting.
Feeling disgusted, I wrapped myself in starlight and faced the Nebula.
Basically, the ‘somethings’ were primitive.
They eat because they are hungry, and they laugh because it is fun.
They punish because they are sad.
But that also had a condition.
“You…”
“Yes.”
“You ate this world?”
“Thanks to that!”
It was a very bright and cheerful tone.
The world where I was executed had already been destroyed by the Nebula.
“You don’t know how happy I am that you’re here.”
I immediately withdrew the meteor shower.
Because if this place was inside the Nebula’s stomach, even if it was a world inside a virtually implemented gate, it would be no good to be in their favor.
As powerful as the ‘somethings’ were, once contact was broken through, it was easy for them to interfere with even a Constellation.
As soon as the screams stopped, the Nebula let out a disappointed voice.
“You’re not going to do it?”
“I’m not.”
“I can’t help it.”
The upside-down Tower of Babel, which seemed to be backing down obediently, began to ring.
Blink.
When I closed my eyes and opened them, the scenery had changed.
I was next to the king, and the two people who had come with me were mixed in with the audience.
I could feel the two of them being flustered.
“A pity.”
“What a pity.”
What is the reason for bringing me to this moment, saying it’s a pity.
I looked up at the ceiling.
The translucent Tower of Babel, even though it was covered by the ceiling, was faintly visible, exuding its presence.
“You don’t want to show them, do you?”
I shut up.
I didn’t want to get involved with the Nebula any further.
“The process of a Constellation’s birth”
“To your contractors”
“Will be a very good experience”
The stuttering voice expressed laughter.
I reached out to the king, and my hand passed through his form and disappeared.
Since it was just replaying a history that had already happened, there was nothing I could do.
Before the Nebula appeared, the text in the sky had changed.
[Survive!]
The two of them were flustered by the suddenly changed scenery.
Yeon Taeseon asked first.
“Did you succeed?”
“No.”
Although it was embarrassing, he was not a person full of vanity to the point of saying he had succeeded when he had failed, so Han Sion obediently answered truthfully.
“An upside-down tower appeared in the sky, and then I fell… I have no memory after seeing the meteor shower stop.”
“Same here. I saw the meteor shower stop, but after that, I’m in this state.”
Yeon Taeseon looked down.
Pale white teeth on a black mouth were covering his feet up to his ankles.
As Han Sion was about to move at the grotesque sight, Yeon Taeseon stopped him.
“If you move, you’ll be cut.”
“Pardon?”
“It’s that kind of curse. One that prevents you from moving until a certain time is over.”
A curse that required a very tricky condition to be set, but if the opponent broke that condition, it could deliver a powerful and certain blow.
And now it was probably…
‘To stay still.’
“Sinner, ‘White Calamity’, listen!”
A resounding old voice rang out.
The old king with a white head read the declaration with a resounding voice, as if his strength had surged from somewhere.
Han Sion urgently looked at the front of the king.
He saw a woman with a short bob, kneeling with her hands in heavy handcuffs.
Is that the White Calamity?
“White Calamity, Seonibaek Lin, was negligent and neglected her duties, and at the Magic Tower, she conducted human experiments, taking the lives of thousands of children. Among those children were…”
Did that person conduct human experiments?
But, for that, she looks very…
Pure.
And very familiar.
Yeon Taeseon raised his hand to stop him from running out right away.
“That’s your Constellation.”
“Pardon?”
“When your Constellation was human.”
Saying that he had never expected to see the birth process of a Constellation in this way, Yeon Taeseon clicked his tongue.
Complex and long names, and short names were listed from the king’s mouth.
Seonibaek Lin’s face was not clearly visible from this position, but the murmuring sounds from the surroundings were very clear.
“Furthermore! The hero candidate who was supposed to slay the Demon King, ‘Tilted Nebula’, perished in vain in the process.”
Yeon Taeseon laughed absurdly.
“To think that Nebula is just a Demon King. It deserved to be destroyed.”
“Do you know what Nebula is?”
“It’s the translucent, upside-down Tower of Babel you saw. I’ll explain the details later.”
The lamentations of those around filled the courtroom.
Seonibaek Lin, who had lifted her pitifully trembling head, lowered her head again as soon as she saw the king’s frosty eyes.
Han Sion wanted to move right away, but the teeth on his ankles were firm.
“This is not only a national but a global loss! Therefore, White Calamity Seonibaek Lin is stripped of her position as the Magic Tower Head, and due to the gravity of her crimes, she is sentenced to immediate execution!”
The two of them thought.
‘Say it’s not you.’
‘Make an excuse!’
‘It’s not your fault.’
‘Isn’t it a false accusation?’
But this was a history that had already happened.
A memory that was just being replayed.
“Did you hear?”
The mouth that was barely opening closed again like a clam.
The murmuring sounds of the observers echoed loudly, as if for them to hear.
“How could she do such cruel things with that angelic face…”
“They said Viscount Roklo’s son was among the dead children, right?”
“Viscount Roklo attempted suicide after losing his son.”
“And yet, she has such a shameless face, without any guilt.”
“And what about the hero? The Demon King’s army will cross the front lines now, what should we do…”
“The Magic Tower Head… no, if that woman hadn’t killed the hero, if she hadn’t touched the experiments at all!”
The murmuring sounds grew louder.
“Kill her!” someone shouted.
“Kill her!” someone else echoed.
“Kill her!” everyone shouted.
Han Sion lowered his head with a miserable heart.
Yeon Taeseon clicked his tongue and engraved all of this in his eyes.
“Sinner, Seonibaek Lin.”
An axe was visible.
In the end, their Constellation did not say a word.
A calamity occurred through silence.
“The execution will be carried out.”
Blood flowed.
Cheers rang out.
Sion, who had turned his head away, and Yeon Taeseon, who had engraved it in his eyes.
Only the two of them were saddened and enraged that their Constellation had suffered such a fate.
