Yu Lian was enduring the most humiliating moment of her life.
Even as a man, she had never been seen naked by another man. Yet now, having transformed into a girl, she had been stripped bare by another girl.
Most importantly, she wore nothing else beneath her skirt!
“W-w-w-wow! You—you are so brazen!”
The shriek was entirely expected. Yu Lian squeezed her eyes shut, mortified.
“Going out commando, how scandalous~”
“I never would have guessed. Such a proper-looking girl, and so beautiful too, yet so depraved in private. And…”
“You’re actually a… a white—”
Yixiya kept muttering, her eyes fixed on the scene before her. Yu Lian tried to hypnotize herself, convincing herself that Yixiya was just trying to distract her with nonsense, but it was useless.
Every word pierced through her, intensifying her shame until her ears, cheeks, and neck burned crimson.
Yixiya’s hand landed on Yu Lian’s thigh, slowly climbing and caressing. Yet, just as it neared its ultimate destination, Yixiya stopped herself.
She suddenly felt a wave of shame as she recognized her own thoughts.
She was loyal to Ya’er alone. How could she possibly feel desire for another woman? Such infidelity, such disloyalty—how was it any different from cheating?
‘I mustn’t touch her. I’ve already seen, but I remain faithful; I have not cheated.’
Yixiya retracted her hand as if pricked by a needle.
“You lewd, brazen hussy, just wait to be cast aside by my Ya’er. I will tell her everything.” She spat the words with venom.
‘Cast me aside?’
‘Excellent!’
Joy surged through her amidst the despair. Though she had been seen, an unexpected benefit had arisen. If this truly worked out, then being seen wasn’t such a loss after all.
Yu Lian felt happiness arrive with startling suddenness.
Yixiya grabbed the lifted hem of the skirt, preparing to pull it back down. However, just then, a figure appeared, silently approaching her from behind.
“Miss Yixiya, what exactly are you doing?”
Bai Lingyi asked with a smiling, narrowed gaze. Yet, her smile held no warmth, chilling anyone who saw it to the bone.
Yixiya’s body stiffened instinctively. When she realized the newcomer wasn’t Bai Muya, she relaxed.
“Oh, it’s Lingyi.”
“Miss Yixiya, you still haven’t properly answered my question.”
“Uh, don’t you have eyes? I’m helping Ya’er verify whether this person is loyal. You know my personality—I can’t stand certain women who appear pure on the surface but are secretly filthy, approaching Ya’er.”
Yixiya lied without a blush or a racing heart.
However, this lie was riddled with holes to Bai Lingyi. She didn’t expose Yixiya, maintaining her gentle smile as she said, “There’s no need to trouble Miss Yixiya with this. Our Second Young Miss has always been an excellent judge of character; anyone she favors will certainly be beyond reproach.”
With that, she took Yixiya’s wrist, apologized for the intrusion, and pulled her from Yu Lian’s lap, setting her gently on the ground.
Yu Lian reopened her eyes to see Bai Lingyi, as gentle as an elder sister, carefully arranging her skirt. There was none of Yixiya’s frivolous, trouble-stirring mockery in her eyes; instead, she radiated a tenderness like an angel on earth.
‘Oh, she’s such a gentle elder sister!’
Yu Lian finally realized there was a normal person among the three of them.
“This is truly vexing. How should we deal with these chains? They weren’t here before I left, so why did they suddenly appear upon my return?”
Bai Lingyi’s gaze subtly drifted towards Yixiya, who stood nearby as if nothing had happened, her words clearly implying something.
Yixiya crossed her arms over her chest, showing no guilt, as if she hadn’t been the one who had locked Yu Lian’s limbs.
“This… um, what was your name again? I don’t think I ever asked you.”
“Yu Lian.”
“Yu Lian. A rather pitiful name, but very pleasant. Do you wish to be freed from these chains?”
Yu Lian nodded. She certainly didn’t have a peculiar fetish for being chained.
“Miss Yixiya, could you hand over the keys?”
Bai Lingyi asked Yixiya, extending her hand.
Yixiya turned her head away. “I don’t have them.”
“You don’t?” Bai Lingyi inquired again.
“I didn’t chain her!”
“Alright, alright, you didn’t chain her. Don’t get agitated, I understand.” Bai Lingyi waved her hand dismissively.
Yu Lian: “?”
‘Is it really okay for you two to be so polite? Did I chain myself, then?’
She reconsidered, then felt a sense of relief. Miss Yixiya was the Eldest Young Miss of the Yi family, while Bai Lingyi was merely the housekeeper of the Bai family. She certainly wouldn’t dare to challenge the Eldest Young Miss of the Yi family.
Even if she understood, she would feign ignorance. Coupled with the entry token, Yu Lian realized the Yi and Bai families must have a good relationship. Naturally, Bai Lingyi wouldn’t dare overly question Miss Yixiya, unless she were the Second Young Miss herself.
“It’s good that you understand,” Yixiya huffed.
Bai Lingyi bent down to pick up the token that had been pressing against Yu Lian’s chest. She said nothing, quietly returning it to Yixiya’s hand. Then, she turned back, gripping the chain around Yu Lian’s right leg.
Her hand slowly traced the chain down to Yu Lian’s ankle, causing Yu Lian’s right leg to instinctively tense.
“Don’t be nervous, Miss Yu Lian,” Bai Lingyi soothed softly. “I won’t do anything to you.”
Yu Lian realized she had been overly sensitive just now. Her face flushed with embarrassment, and she mumbled nothing in response.
Bai Lingyi’s fingers grazed the junction of the chain and ankle, thinking inwardly, ‘Miss Yu Lian’s skin is so smooth and delicate, even more so than the finest jade or silk…’
‘Even our own Second Young Miss is far from her equal.’
She cast aside the thought, grasping the chain with both hands. “Miss Yu Lian, if it hurts later, please tell me immediately.”
‘Hurts?’
Yu Lian was puzzled about what she intended to do. Was she going to break the chains with her bare hands? That seemed impossible.
However, the next sight made her jaw drop.
Bai Lingyi’s seemingly delicate, slender hands suddenly erupted with terrifying power. No veins bulged on her jade-like fingers, yet the chain in her grip twisted with a crack-crack, eventually breaking under the immense pressure.
‘She really is an immortal!’
Such superhuman methods could not be achieved by ordinary people. Even martial artists who trained their bodies daily couldn’t snap chains with their bare hands, could they?
Yu Lian was utterly terrified.
It was her first time being so close to an immortal, and her first time witnessing someone with immortal abilities.
Bai Lingyi saw Yu Lian’s astonished expression, yet no sign of pain. Reassured, she continued to break the remaining chains. Soon, all the chains were shattered, and Yu Lian regained her freedom.
“There, Miss Yu Lian. You weren’t too frightened, were you?”
Yu Lian numbly shook her head.
She hadn’t been frightened, but she was utterly stunned.
Bai Lingyi smiled gently. To Yu Lian, it was like the warm, inviting smile of an elder sister from next door, making her instinctively want to draw closer. Her smile was comforting, filling Yu Lian’s heart with warmth.
Bai Lingyi walked to the side and picked up the broken scissors lying on the ground. Seeing their sorry state, she pondered, ‘What exactly did Miss Yixiya try to cut with these scissors?’
“Miss Yixiya, it’s getting late. You should go back and rest.”
Bai Lingyi carefully put away the scissors, then gently pushed the unwilling Yixiya from behind, leading her out of the room.
Yu Lian slowly raised her hand, her gaze vacant.
‘No, I barked like a dog for you, and you’ve seen my body. Now, fulfill your promise! If you just leave like this, won’t I have suffered a huge loss?’
