Eve’s Arrangement

Chapter 75 • 2,631 words • 22 min read

In the end, Eve did not untie the straps of the nightdress, but instead let them remain quietly buried in the deep valley.

The sensation from her hand told her that Su Ran’s skin seemed even more delicate than her own, which made Eve, a genuine young woman, feel a little jealous.

Before leaving, she had sensed a nascent power growing vigorously within Su Ran’s body, but she hadn’t expected that after the power matured, his body would undergo such a world-shattering change, presenting an unexpected surprise upon their reunion.

Eve stood by the young woman’s bed, a somewhat inexplicable meaning in her eyes. Looking at Su Ran’s exquisite and perfect sleeping face, a bitter smile appeared on her pretty face.

“If you use this method to win me over, when I decide to leave, will I come back?”

She had thought she could remain calm after hearing news of Su Ran, but her body’s subconscious actions told her directly what her heart had chosen.

“Alright, let me check your body first. I don’t have much time to spare.”

Eve’s tone, for once, carried a hint of coquettishness.

As she leaned forward, her silver-white hair cascaded down, seemingly isolating the entire world.

Only Su Ran’s sleeping, pretty face magnified in her eyes.

As her body drew nearer, the fragrance she could smell from the tip of her nose became clearer.

A rare flush appeared on Eve’s face, but she had no choice.

Only through skin-to-skin contact could she see the changes in Su Ran’s body clearly.

Her slightly cool forehead pressed forward, Su Ran’s skin still retaining a residual warmth that hadn’t faded.

The flawless cheeks, the small and adorable nose, the delicate features—all of it captivated Eve’s attention at every moment.

Eve endured her shyness, concentrating on examining Su Ran’s body.

Eve’s beautiful eyes opened wide in utter shock.

“Incredible, his superhuman talent is actually this high!”

Since Winnie didn’t know that a power was budding within Su Ran’s body, she had only given his body a cursory check on the surface to confirm if his physical condition was normal.

Eve’s examination was much more detailed.

Not only did she carefully check Su Ran’s physical condition, but she also searched thoroughly inside her body, trying to find traces of superhuman power.

However, Eve unexpectedly discovered that Su Ran, who originally had no superhuman talent, now had an unusually high affinity for magic essence.

No wonder Winnie had to set up a small magic formation to conceal her aura.

Even after walking in, she could sense magic essence continuously drilling into Su Ran’s body.

‘Not only has his body changed, but his superhuman talent has also appeared out of nowhere. What on earth did Su Ran go through!’

Upon learning this, waves stirred in Eve’s beautiful eyes.

She knew that although the possibility was small, it wasn’t impossible for magic to cause bodily changes.

But for a superhuman talent to appear from nothing was much more difficult than a physical change.

If it weren’t for the living example of Su Ran before her, she would have been more convinced if someone had told her it was impossible.

The change in superhuman talent happening to Su Ran was a good thing.

Eve forcibly suppressed her curiosity and lifted her forehead from Su Ran’s.

Sometimes, there was no need to investigate the reasons behind things.

Eve only needed to know that this was not a bad thing for Su Ran.

Eve’s jade-like finger gently caressed Su Ran’s pretty face, feeling the delicacy of a freshly peeled egg.

She whispered in front of her, “I was worried about what you would do in the future, being so beautiful. Now that you have a superhuman talent, I don’t have to worry about anyone having ideas about you. No wonder you asked me about superhumans before, so this was the reason.”

“Alright, now it’s time to check your body.”

Her jade-like finger reluctantly left Su Ran’s face.

Eve’s hand moved to the hem of the dress, gradually climbing up from the straight and slender thighs.

As her hand was swallowed by the hem of the dress, moving from the smooth thighs to the smooth, flat abdomen, Eve’s cold body also gradually grew hot.

‘Checking the body requires touching the abdomen.’

Eve secretly chided herself for miscalculating.

If she had known, she would have just pulled the straps of the nightdress open.

At least after opening it, it could still provide some cover, unlike now, where she was caught in a dilemma.

Because she had never thought that Winnie had only put a nightdress on Su Ran, and that it was completely bare underneath.

Even the hand she had just slipped in had to move with extreme care, for fear of touching something it shouldn’t.

After a period of rubbing through the cloth, Eve finally found the right position, her fair hand resting on the abdomen that was devoid of any fat.

Perhaps Eve’s hand was a bit cold.

When it touched Su Ran’s abdomen, it made her let out an unconscious whimper in her sleep.

With a guilty conscience, Eve lightly bit her red lip and nervously glanced at Su Ran.

Seeing that she was still fast asleep, she confidently continued her examination of Su Ran’s body.

Through the contact of her palm, Eve transferred her magic essence into Su Ran’s body and let it circulate.

Eve had now grasped Su Ran’s physical condition.

From the results of her examination, her body was consistent with what Winnie had said.

No matter how one looked at it, she was female, even her genes had been rewritten to be female.

All of Su Ran’s bodily functions had become better than ever before.

Her previously immobile legs had returned to normal.

She could already be called a fully developed female, possessing all the functions a female should have.

A certain melancholy appeared in Eve’s eyes.

“If Lily were to find out, she would definitely call you her little girlfriend.”

The examination was over.

She removed the hand that was on the abdomen from under the nightdress.

The fragrance left on her hand from the physical contact made Eve unconsciously bring her hand to her nose and sniff lightly.

As a member of the royal family, Eve possessed all kinds of perfumes, but none had this scent that she found so… intoxicating!

‘Sweet!’

Eve’s red lips parted slightly, and she took a gentle taste.

Her beautiful eyes lit up.

She focused her gaze on the lips she hadn’t had time to savor properly just now.

So, with a gentle press of her hand, she saw healthy, white teeth revealed.

‘—It’s also sweet!’

A taste more mellow than the blood of a magical beast exploded in her mouth, making Eve unconsciously want to immerse herself in it and ask for more.

Eve’s gaze was fixed on Su Ran’s lips.

The small wings at her waist, sensing their master’s excitement, flapped incessantly.

Eve held the sleeping Su Ran’s pretty face and slowly… leaned down.

However, an ill-timed voice interrupted Eve’s action, bringing her back to her senses.

Winnie, outside the window, seeing that Eve had been inside for a while, couldn’t help but ask, “Your Highness? Are you done with the examination?”

Eve, who had come to her senses, couldn’t help but pat her own face, scolding herself for her poor self-control.

‘This kind of thing can’t be done while the other person is asleep. What if Su Ran has someone she likes in the future?’

So, Eve focused her gaze on the forehead she had just been close to.

“Let me just collect a little interest for the examination for now!”

Eve’s beautiful eyes, gentle as water, gazed at Su Ran as she left her own kiss mark on her forehead.

A light peck of her lips.

After Eve had done everything, she finally responded to Winnie outside the window.

“I’ve finished the examination. Winnie, you can come in.”

Hearing this, Winnie re-entered Su Ran’s room.

Seeing that Su Ran, sleeping on the bed, was still undisturbed, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

She had been a little worried that Her Highness would do something irrational.

Then, she asked, “What should we do, Your Highness? Should we bring her back to the vampire clan? The way she is now, she’ll be captured and studied by the Human Federation.”

If Su Ran were left in the Human Federation, once his former identity was exposed, he could easily be captured for research.

As she spoke, Winnie’s pink lips revealed her two small canine teeth.

She stepped forward.

“After the First Embrace, she can stay with the vampires.”

The First Embrace signified a new birth among the vampires, and the one who bestowed this new life could transform a person into a vampire, gaining the recognition of other vampires.

Winnie was the daughter of a prince.

Generally speaking, the object of a First Embrace would definitely be a human.

However, only she and Eve were present.

To prevent the royal bloodline from flowing outside, she took the initiative to step forward and solve this dilemma for Eve.

However, Winnie was stopped by Eve’s hand after taking only two steps.

She shook her head and said, “Winnie, there’s no need for that. And even if there were a First Embrace, it could only be done by me.”

Winnie’s pupils contracted.

The thing she had feared most had happened after all.

Eve turned and smiled at Winnie.

“Because she is the one I love! No matter what he becomes, inside is the soul named Su Ran. That is the essence of why we love her, and it will not change because of her external changes.”

“Your Highness, after the First Embrace, your relationship will be…”

Winnie hesitated, not saying the last two words, but Eve knew what she meant.

The First Embrace signified a new birth among the vampires, and the one who bestowed it was usually in the most intimate relationship with the recipient.

If another layer of relationship was added on top of this intimacy…

Winnie was no longer conflicted about Eve’s feelings for Su Ran.

Instead, the potentially complicated relationship between the two of them made her feel that her brain was starting to not be enough.

“So, that’s why I said there’s no need for a First Embrace.”

Eve saw through Winnie’s hidden thoughts.

Seeing her head fuming, she secretly laughed in her heart.

“Then what is Your Highness’s plan?”

Hearing that there was no need for a First Embrace, Winnie instantly calmed down, wanting to know what solution Eve had.

“Su Ran mentioned to me last year that the orphanage director who took the best care of him had passed away from cancer. He wasn’t close with the other people in the orphanage.”

A diary appeared in Eve’s hand.

“And the name I filled in on the insurance policy was Su Ran. Now it really has to be changed.”

Looking at Su Ran’s exquisite, pretty face, Eve said with a smile, “Hello there, Xiao Ran!”

After hearing Eve’s words, Winnie got a general idea of Her Highness’s plan and asked, “The people at the hospital, do you need me to arrange for them to return to the vampire clan?”

After saving Eve, who had almost been hit by a car, Su Ran had been admitted to a secret vampire stronghold disguised as a private hospital.

The personnel of this stronghold were loyal only to the royal family.

Even Winnie needed Eve’s order to mobilize them.

After all, the car accident also involved Eve.

To avoid any accidents, it was better to bring Su Ran to a vampire stronghold for an examination.

‘Since Her Highness the Princess wants to forge a new identity for Su Ran, it’s possible that the attending doctor who treated Su Ran at the private hospital will be investigated in the future.’

Winnie had extremely high confidence in the secrecy of the secret stronghold because the humans who had worked in the royal palace for generations, even before the Queen implemented the policy of equality, had all received the grace of the royal family.

And most importantly, their entire families now lived in the royal palace.

Winnie naturally didn’t have to worry about the issue of loyalty.

“There’s no need. As long as they are not exposed, they are Xiao Ran’s best witnesses. Even if they are exposed in the future, the hospital has also treated other patients. They can’t just kill everyone with one blow. And don’t you also need a place to stay?”

Eve rejected Winnie’s suggestion, letting the people at the stronghold continue to act as witnesses for Su Ran.

Eve’s plan was actually not difficult.

Su Ran had been housebound for so long due to his leg problems.

The outside world’s impression of him was still from over two years ago.

During this period, only she, a dead person, had had contact with him.

Then, Eve only needed to fabricate a lie to give Su Ran a brand new identity.

“Month X, Day Y, Sunny. So the one who saved me was actually a girl! The doctor told me that the magic essence the other party had inadvertently absorbed had all gathered in her legs, which was why she couldn’t move.”

“Month X, Day Y, Sunny. This is the second day since the girl saved me. She was very surprised, because even after learning that she possessed a superhuman talent, she had thought she didn’t have one.”

“But I couldn’t answer this question, so I turned and asked her why she had pretended to be a boy. She told me that the orphanage director had told her it was safer to work outside as a boy, and that it wouldn’t be too late to change back after she came of age.”

“Month X, Day Y, Rainy. I asked Su Ran why she didn’t go to a superhuman school to study. That way, she could receive a better education instead of letting the magic essence stagnate in her legs, making her unable to move. She said she had missed the best time for learning and would rather give the limited resources to others. She could slowly control the magic essence to leave her legs. I could only respect her choice.”

“Month X, Day Y, Overcast. Lily would never have guessed that the little boy I said I had to take care of was actually little sister Su Ran. She’s not yet of age, so for simplicity’s sake, I could only write Su Ran’s name for now.”

Eve wrote down every single detail.

Looking at the diary filled with entries from the past two years, apart from a few truly useful ones, the rest were meaningless daily routines.

After experiencing this kind of meaningless daily text recording, she curled her red lips and couldn’t help but complain, “What kind of proper person writes a diary!”

Eve found a place in her house to put all her diaries.

Eve watched as Su Ran’s long eyelashes slowly fluttered, a sign that she was about to wake up.

Her body’s natural attraction to magic essence also gradually subsided.

It seemed that the earlier phenomenon was just a rebound from being suppressed for too long.

This made Eve breathe a slight sigh of relief.

If Su Ran had maintained a high attraction to magic essence, then the lie she had fabricated would not have been so easy to believe.

Because for high-Sequence superhumans, this kind of unusual magic essence flow would easily be noticed if they paid attention.

Eve reacted quickly, setting up a magic formation to conceal the aura.

Otherwise, Su Ran’s special nature would have been exposed to others.

I have enjoyed this translated novel a lot.

However, from the past 3 chapters, the quality of the translation is very very poor.
