I stood by the hotel entrance. Suddenly, my terminal seemed to receive a message.
“God’s Agent?” I murmured, then answered the call on my terminal.
“Moe God, where are you right now?” the God’s Agent inquired.
‘Moe God’ always felt a bit strange to hear, yet I answered truthfully. “I’m currently at a hotel just outside the God-Fallen Land.”
“You went inside?” the God’s Agent asked, her tone subtly stern.
“Yes, I did, but I got lost…” I lied smoothly. “I wandered for a while and saw absolutely nothing.”
“Lost?” A deep skepticism laced the God’s Agent’s voice. “It’s a wide, open expanse in there. How could you possibly get lost?” she countered.
“Can you really blame me?” I retorted, a hint of indignation in my voice.
‘While I hadn’t *actually* gotten lost, becoming directionally challenged after ascending to godhood was undeniably real.’ “Ever since you made me a god, I inexplicably can’t tell north from south anymore…”
A moment of silence stretched through the earpiece. “Alright, then. Don’t move from where you are. I’ll be there immediately.”
“You’re coming?” I asked, surprised.
“Is that a problem?”
“No, no, it’s fine! Absolutely!” I nodded eagerly.
‘I had witnessed the God’s Agent’s formidable prowess on the battlefield. With her as my bodyguard, what could I possibly fear?’
“Good. Wait for me for a moment; I’ll use fixed-point teleportation to get there.” the God’s Agent said from the other end of the line, then disconnected the terminal.
“Fixed-point teleportation?” I repeated, pondering the term.
“Fixed-point teleportation is one of the innate abilities,” Xilinka explained.
“So, the God’s Agent’s innate ability is fixed-point teleportation?” I inquired.
“Not necessarily. Fixed-point teleportation can be used not only to teleport oneself but others as well,” Xilinka clarified further.
“Then how exactly is fixed-point teleportation used?” I asked.
Xilinka continued, “Fixed-point teleportation can transport a target a considerable distance. However, it can only be used on one person at a time, and the caster requires at least several days to recover after each use.”
As we spoke, the God’s Agent arrived.
Yin, seeing the God’s Agent, broke into a wide, beaming smile. “Ah, Xi! Long time no see, little sister!”
Xi cast a sidelong glance at Yin. “Long time no see. As slovenly as ever, I see.”
Yin recoiled as if struck by a bullet. “D-don’t bring that up…”
Sad memories flooded his mind, and he felt so wronged he was on the verge of tears.
“It’s only because I go on missions at night, alright?” Yin exclaimed, looking at the God’s Agent with agitation. “It’s perfectly normal to be listless during the day, isn’t it?”
“What good does telling me do?” the God’s Agent replied, giving him another dismissive look.
“Back then, she simply said, ‘You truly are lazy.’ Who was it that ran off to secretly cry for half a day when they heard her say you were lazy? If you want to explain yourself, go explain it to her. Why are you telling me?”
Yin’s face was a picture of misery. “Oh, Xi!”
The God’s Agent acknowledged him. “What is it?”
“Do you remember when you first joined Lian’s guard?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Back then, you were so adorable, always calling out ‘Senior Yin, Senior Yin!’ But now…”
“What about me now?” the God’s Agent interrupted, her voice sharp. “I think the current me could easily break your legs.”
“And now… you’re still just as adorable!” Yin quickly amended, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow.
‘He dared not utter the words he’d originally intended — violent, unrefined, or uncute.’
I watched their interaction, a thought forming in my mind. ‘Perhaps this is what true friendship looks like: constant bickering, mutual threats, and ultimately, one side yielding.’
I had never experienced true friendship before this.
‘Indeed, I envied them deeply, and as I looked at Lavishly Karafar and the others around me, a question arose: Did they truly see me as a friend?’
The God’s Agent ignored Yin and turned her attention to me. “You’re probably aware of the general situation by now, aren’t you?”
I nodded. “They’ve told me most of it.”
The God’s Agent hummed in acknowledgment. “For the time being, I can stay by your side and protect you as much as possible.”
A cold glint entered her eyes as she spoke. “Ken and his group’s recent actions have been far too extreme.”
“What happened?” I asked, completely in the dark about these matters.
“Currently, Ken and his people are fiercely suppressing Tianqi’s supporters,” the God’s Agent replied, her brow furrowed.
“However, I didn’t expect them to resort to such deadly measures for something like this,” the God’s Agent continued.
“Now, the Divine Realm is gripped by fear, with everyone worried they might become the next target.”
I nodded. “And what about me?”
The God’s Agent nodded. “They haven’t given up, which is precisely why I’m here to protect you.”
