Xi Xue’s Terrifying Strength (Part 1)

Chapter 76 • 831 words • 7 min read

Captain Xianglan stared blankly at the entire process, feeling her worldview fundamentally shift.

She was familiar with the respectful address vampires used for the Bloodkin, and she recognized their true appearance.

Thus, the instant Xi Xue materialized in her demonic form, Captain Xianglan knew she was one of the true Bloodkin.

It was no wonder, then, that Xi Xue’s parents were said to be important national figures, and her identity information kept strictly confidential.

In the ancient land of Huaxia, there was only one true Bloodkin family.

A family of three.

That family consisted of Xi Xue and her parents.

This demonstrated the extreme rarity of the true Bloodkin.

This was an incredibly difficult race to awaken into.

While Blood Elves and vampires were not uncommon in Huaxia, the true Bloodkin had comprised only one family in the last century within the nation.

Across the entire continent, the number of pure Bloodkin was minuscule.

Due to the unique nature of their abilities, they typically served as a nation’s ace combat power, making them a priority for cultivation and protection.

Logically, they should not appear in a small city like Dawnmoon, and their travels should always be accompanied by elite Blood Elves.

For Xi Xue to not only appear alone but also participate in the Ability College Entrance Exam was practically an act of blatant disregard for her own safety.

If something were to happen, who could bear the responsibility?

In this apocalypse plagued by fierce beasts, the awakening of such a powerful and rare race would be treasured by any nation.

Therefore, Xi Xue’s safety was paramount.

So when her four teammates slowly descended from the sky and landed in front of Xianglan, her body instinctively shifted—she wanted to check on their condition—but in the end, she held herself back.

She was worried that if she took her attention off things to inspect her teammates, the Bloodlust Sin King might seize the opportunity to strike at Xi Xue.

Xi Xue was still too young.

Although the innate bloodline suppression of the Bloodkin race was so overwhelming that even a King would have to submit initially, Xi Xue was, after all, only at Tier 5.

The vast gap in physical strength between them was like an insurmountable chasm.

There was no guarantee that the Bloodlust Sin King wouldn’t feign submission and wait for a chance to strike back.

Captain Xianglan knew very well that the Bloodlust Sin King before her was cunning and ruthless.

Not only had he devised a substitute to deceive her earlier, but he had also cruelly twisted off Captain Wind’s limbs and killed her four teammates.

Although Xi Xue had witnessed his brutality, she might not fully understand just how deceitful he truly was.

The Bloodlust Sin King’s overly subservient and fawning demeanor likely stemmed from his apprehension.

He feared Xi Xue’s parents, those two formidable Bloodkin King-level experts, might be lurking nearby.

Against either of them, he stood no chance of victory.

Thus, he dared not make any rash moves for the time being.

However, once he confirmed Xi Xue was truly alone, he would undoubtedly bare his fangs.

At that point, all of them would likely face certain death.

Therefore, two immediate tasks demanded their attention: first, to caution Xi Xue to be vigilant, and second, to keep the Bloodlust Sin King placated and fearful.

The Bloodlust Sin King had barely finished proclaiming his undying gratitude to the Blood Emperor when Captain Xianglan immediately dropped to one knee, speaking with urgency.

“Princess, the Bloodlust Sin King harbors a wolf’s ambition! You absolutely must not believe his deceitful words!”

“We six were entrusted by your parents to secretly ensure your personal safety.”

“Tonight, as usual, we were patrolling near your villa when we discovered the Bloodlust Sin King sneaking towards it, clearly intending harm. We intervened to stop him.”

“Yet, the Bloodlust Sin King proved insidious and treacherous, his methods utterly ruthless.”

“Not only did he gravely wound Captain Wind and me, but he also slaughtered four of our comrades. You heard him yourself, Princess!”

“He declared that after devouring me, he would proceed to the villa to devour you! What boundless ambition!”

“The fact that he now grovels before you surely means he harbors ill intentions.”

“He might be feigning weakness, merely waiting for an opportune moment to strike, Princess!”

“I implore you to immediately activate the teleportation jade, allowing the Blood Emperor and Blood Empress to descend and slay this ambitious, traitorous villain!”

Captain Xianglan delivered her entire speech in one breath, her convoluted phrasing requiring considerable effort from her battered body.

Fortunately, she managed to convey everything she intended.

She had successfully warned Xi Xue that the Bloodlust Sin King might harbor malicious intent, urging her to remain vigilant.

Simultaneously, she subtly intimated to the Bloodlust Sin King that Xi Xue possessed a spatial artifact, implying the Bloodkin’s dual monarchs could arrive at any moment, thereby deterring him from acting rashly.
