Face Reveal
If I had to put the current situation into words, I’d call it the second Mollru Face Reveal Controversy.
Calling it a “controversy” makes it sound like I did something wrong.
But I didn’t do anything wrong.
If I had to be guilty of something, it would be simply having this face.
Saying “All this fuss over just a face” wouldn’t be quite right either.
After all, I’ve benefited far more from my appearance than I’ve suffered because of it.
<Mollru, Explain Yourself>
Explain why you’re so pretty. ᄋᄋ
ᄋᄋ: Even posts like this are making it to the top now, huh? The world’s gone soft.
ᄋᄋ: Honestly, an explanation is necessary.
ᄂᄋᄋ: Can we move on from this whole “Mollru’s face” thing? Just explain it already.
This curiosity about my face has been there since the team dinner.
Back then, I managed to suppress the hype, but I always knew it would come up again someday.
And if you know something is going to happen, you should prepare for it.
I had made a plan—an admittedly rough one—but a plan nonetheless.
“Is this really going to work?”
“Yes, it’s working fine.”
I was currently having Si-young review my plan.
When I first brought up this thing as a countermeasure, she had helped me set it up with her technical knowledge.
I had asked just in case she knew about it, and sure enough, she did.
Now, like some kind of tech wizard, she was helping me fine-tune the settings.
With all this effort put in, it had better be effective.
No—it will be effective.
If it isn’t, I’ll make it work.
My gut was telling me this would work.
“Test stream is running fine… You should be good to go.”
With Si-young’s monitoring, I started the broadcast.
Mollru is live!
Big Announcement.
Si-young watched as Mollru’s stream began.
Sitting there with her gear on, she looked as composed as ever.
There was no nervousness or hesitation on her face—just pure, calm confidence.
Si-young thought to herself.
My boss, Ji-eun, is surprisingly mature and mentally strong for her age.
Just months ago, she had no connection to the world of online streaming.
And yet, in such a short time, she had risen to this level.
While the increasing paycheck was nice, Si-young wasn’t entirely happy about it.
She had worked with many streamers and knew this industry well.
She had seen many rise to fame as fast as Mollru did.
And she had also seen them fall.
Most of them collapsed under the weight of their own success.
Overwhelmed by expectations, they lost what made them unique and became just another average streamer.
Some even quit entirely, unable to handle the pressure.
That’s why she had been worried.
She feared that this rare and intriguing talent, Mollru, would follow the same path.
But she had just realized—her worries had been unnecessary.
“How about this, Editor?”
The plan Ji-eun had devised was something Si-young never could have imagined.
It was so unexpected that it made her previous concerns seem ridiculous.
“Hello, this is Mollru.”
As the stream started with the usual greeting, Si-young found herself wondering.
How far could she go?
How far would Mollru rise in this industry?
As she watched her casually chat with her viewers, she couldn’t help but be fascinated.
[CAM ON CAM ON CAM ON CAM ON]
[Is it true you’re finally revealing your face? I came here the moment I heard.]
[So you’ve decided to enlist in the military? Respect.]
[Mollru’s extreme method to silence public opinion…]
[Is it true you’re actually a 42-year-old seductive older woman?]
[Mollru feminist declaration ᄃᄃ;]
[It’s been five days since your last stream… I was freezing to death out here.]
[This is a rare one.]
As soon as the stream started, viewers flooded in.
A direct result of online communities marking the coordinates of any major streamer’s broadcast.
“Good morning, everyone.”
She casually greeted them while sipping something.
Her relaxed attitude contrasted sharply with the chaos in the chat.
[So what’s the big announcement?]
[What is it? WHAT IS IT?]
[It’s happening! Mollru’s signature suspense-building technique!]
[I need to leave soon—just tell me if it’s important or not!]
The stream’s title was designed to attract attention.
There was no way it wasn’t intentional.
On top of that, she had deliberately set the screen to a pitch-black background.
[Wait… is this an apology stream?]
If someone mistook this for a public apology, it wouldn’t be surprising.
[National Apology Broadcast]
[We sincerely apologize for the distress caused…]
[Considering what I’ve heard, she really does have a lot to apologize for.]
[? What did the host do?]
[I heard she forced Cheol-woo to drink.]
[WHAT?!]
[Cheol-woo, though? That’s a bit much…]
[Do You Want to Drown in the Ocean?]
[Drum Can Behavior ᄃ]
Mollru coughed lightly, as if something had come to mind.
“A-Anyway, I’ve already apologized for that separately. This isn’t an apology stream.”
She hurriedly gave a short explanation.
The viewers who had seized the opportunity to tease her quickly moved on to the main topic.
<Mollru’s Apology Stream has donated 10,000 KRW!>
-There are 10,000 viewers here now. Just say what you need to say.
“Hmm, 10,000 viewers… I was going to wait for more, but I’ll just say it now.”
[10,000 isn’t enough for you anymore, huh?]
[Mollru Hiddink: I am still hungry.]
[Mollru: 10,000 is too few. They don’t even count as people.]
“A lot of people have been curious about my face. It happened during the last team dinner, and now again at the Switch party.”
As soon as Mollru brought up the topic of her face, the already fast-moving chat accelerated even further.
At first, most people didn’t believe that her beauty would be anything special.
They assumed other streamers were just being polite when they called her pretty.
But now, the situation had completely flipped.
At the Switch party, every streamer who mentioned Mollru had described her as stunningly beautiful.
With so many people giving consistent testimonies, the narrative that Mollru is an absolute top-tier beauty became an undeniable truth.
[How could we not be curious? Everyone says she’s ridiculously pretty.]
[The streamer I’ve been watching—who makes lame dad jokes and is obsessed with gaming—turns out to be an S-tier beauty? Yeah, I can’t ignore this.]
[Wait, what’s with “obsessed with gaming and lame dad jokes”?]
[That’s the most important part. Put it at the front.]
[Even a monk wouldn’t be able to resist being curious about this.]
Mollru let the chat simmer for a moment before speaking again.
“There’s been too much talk about my face, and I don’t think I can keep streaming like this. So, I’ve decided to take drastic measures.”
[What are you talking about?]
“I’m going to reveal my face, just as you all wanted.”
[HOLY—WE’RE IN HEAVEN.]
[What? I never thought she’d actually do it.]
[Now this is good streaming sense.]
[Following the trend, revealing her face is the right move.]
[We’ve waited so long for this…]
Most reactions were positive.
And why wouldn’t they be?
The reason all this chaos erupted in the first place was simple: FOMO.
Unlike other streamers, Mollru’s viewers didn’t know what she looked like.
No matter how long they had watched her streams, they were still missing a key piece of information.
Her audience was gripped by an overwhelming desire to finally see her face.
“Give me a moment. I’ll turn on the camera.”
The sound of things shuffling around could be heard in the background.
[It’s happening! IT’S HAPPENING!]
[Are we about to witness an ultra-top-tier beauty?]
[A face so stunning it could knock an actress out cold.]
“Don’t be too shocked…”
There was a hint of laughter in Mollru’s voice as she spoke.
The viewers, full of anticipation, eagerly waited.
Then, a woman’s face appeared on the screen.
But… it wasn’t what they expected.
“Ah, this is a bit embarrassing. I really wasn’t planning on revealing my face, but does this count as an ultra-beauty?”
[What the hell is this?]
[Wait, didn’t you say you were revealing your face?]
[Well… I mean, she is pretty, but…]
[We got scammed again. She never tells the truth.]
[Wait… was Mollru actually a foreigner?!]
On-screen, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman smiled brightly at the camera.
The only issue?
She was a 3D-rendered character.
[This is just a damn VTuber model.]
That’s right.
Instead of showing her real face, Mollru had used a 3D avatar to represent herself.
The sheer absurdity of this left the viewers in shock.
There was no way they were just going to sit back and accept this.
[THIS is a face reveal?!]
“Yes, is there a problem?”
[At the very least, shouldn’t the hair color match? Weren’t you supposed to have black hair?]
“Oh, I dyed it the other day.”
She nodded as she spoke.
And how did the viewers know she nodded?
Because the blonde avatar on-screen nodded in sync with her.
<GullibleFools has donated 30,000 KRW!>
-You only have yourself to blame for believing in Mollru. Me included.
The robotic voice of the donation alert summed up the collective feeling of the chat.

I was expecting a balaclava or a luchador mask. I wasn’t expecting a vtuber model. Lol
