On the second day of Saint Alesia’s resurrection, at 9:00 in the morning,
Eve called Mio and Shizuku to her room to discuss whether they should build a house from the original world.
Mio agreed, and so did Shizuku.
“Then I’ll go observe your house in the original world, inside and out. I’ll be back soon.”
“Be careful.”
“Thanks, Little Dark.”
“No problem. I’ll also check out PS4 games. I’ll take care of the TVs and electronics in this world too.”
“That’s great.”
“Then bring me the Date A Live light novels. Before I came to this world, they had released up to volume 21.”
“OK. And Mio, what do you want?”
“All the light novels of Aria the Scarlet Ammo and AA.”
“No problem. I’m heading off.”
“Take care.”
“Safe travels.”
“Alright.”
After speaking, Eve disappeared.
In the original world, Eve immediately arrived in a quiet corner.
“I’ll check their house first, then head to the bookstore.”
After that, Eve just arrived at the front of the Kamikoshi house when someone grabbed her shoulder from behind.
“Who?”
“Found you.”
Eve turned around and instantly showed hostility.
“This feeling… you’re a Grim Reaper!?”
“Yes. I originally came to investigate a case of two missing sisters, but I didn’t expect to run into you.”
“You mean the Kamikoshi sisters?”
“Exactly. Do you know them?”
“I’m not telling you…”
Suddenly, Eve couldn’t move.
(Can’t move!?)
“This is time freeze. If Shizuku’s disappearance is related to you, then I’ll have to eliminate you!”
Then the girl grabbed Eve’s head.
“I’m probably the only one in this world who can read other people’s memories. Not even my parents or uncle, nor anyone in Heaven or the Underworld knows I have this power.”
Then Anyue’s eyes started to glow, and she smiled.
“So that’s how it is.”
Eve suddenly could move again.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Thanks for taking care of those two sisters. Actually, I’ve been friends with them since we were little.”
“Really?”
“Really. I’m Anyue. Can you take me to that world? I miss them so much.”
“Alright, but you mustn’t tell anyone. That world was created specifically for those two sisters.”
“From your memories, I understand. You go handle the house and novels first. I’ll head home and tell my lazy dad I’m going to another world.”
“You’re a god of the Underworld. Is that really okay?”
“No worries. Besides, I’m only 414 years old in human terms. Way older than you guys.”
“Just asking—how do you know them?”
“Like I said, I’ve been friends with them since we were little. I came to this world out of boredom, and unexpectedly, some humans started playing with me. Even though I’m over 400, I have the mind and body of a 12-year-old. As a god, I’m quite lonely. They were basically my only real friends.”
“I’m the same—lonely. But Mio once saved my life.”
“Blame my rotten uncle for exterminating your family.”
“Now that you’ve found me, will you report me to your uncle?”
“Of course not. Everything I do is for Mio and Shizuku. I’m grateful to you.”
“For their sake, I’d stake my life.”
“Same here. I’ll head out now and be back soon to meet you here.”
“Got it.”
After they separated, Eve used magic to sneak into the house.
“Yep, still the same as ever.”
Eve checked every room upstairs and downstairs, then went into Shizuku’s room.
“Memorized the layout. Next up—novels.”
Eve summoned a big backpack and immediately went to a bookstore.
At the bookstore, Eve simply bought all the books Mio and Shizuku wanted, and for herself, she bought Sword Art Online novels and Kiss of Contract manga.
“With these, I can make lots of copies in that world for everyone to read.”
While Eve was still thinking of buying more, in the Sword Dance world, Mio and Alexander were soaking in a bath.
“Mio, how’s the role of Elf King feel?”
“Super nice!”
“Can I have it back?”
“Nope.”
“Just kidding. But this world is really beautiful now—I hope it stays that way forever.”
“I want to visit the Date A Live world.”
“You’re not Shido, and besides, you can’t go.”
“Just imagining it is fine. I want Nia Honjou.”
“Then I want Mio Takamiya.”
“I love Mio too, and all the Spirits.”
“Same here.”
“Wanna come with me to see Alesia later?”
“Sure, though the shepherd girl turned into a cat girl.”
“Little Dark said the sheep were too much…”
Suddenly, Mio remembered something.
“Alex, can your interdimensional gate be used again?”
“What do you want to do?”
“To deal with Heaven in the original world.”
“Impossible. That gate was destroyed. Besides, it might not even work in your world.”
“Fine.”
“I’ll scrub your back.”
“Thanks, Saint King.”
“You’re the real Saint King.”
“Same difference. I have a piece of your soul.”
“Do you consider me a friend?”
“Of course. Anyone who wants to be friends is welcome.”
“You’re such a softie.”
“I am not! At most, I’m a schemer with a bad heart.”
Suddenly, the bathroom door opened and Mireya called out.
“Sorry to disturb, but something urgent has come up!”
“What is it?”
“The other four Spirit Kings are waiting for you in the conference room.”
Hearing this, Mio became calm.
“When did they arrive?”
“Understood. Where’s Shizuku?”
“Lady Shizuku took the others out for fun. Right now, only you and I are in the castle.”
Because Mio and Shizuku told everyone to just call them by name.
“Why didn’t you go?”
“I was outside, and Lady Shizuku told me via detector.”
“Then bring drinks and snacks to them. I’ll come soon.”
“Yes!”
After Mireya left, Mio sighed.
“Alex, what now? Little Dark’s not here.”
“It’s fine. Everyone already accepts you.”
“Okay, you come too.”
“Sure.”
Then the two dressed and went to the conference room.
Mio saw each of the four Kings holding a piece of paper.
Lorde greeted enthusiastically.
“Sorry to bother you.”
“No worries. But next time, let someone give notice first, so I can prepare some treats.”
“It’s alright. This time we wanted to discuss something. Eve already sent us a letter.”
Beval smiled.
“We also support your friend Eve’s ‘Sky City Project’.”
Isaria nodded too.
“This way, homeless people across nations will have places to live.”
Volcanic walked up to Mio.
“What are your thoughts on the Sky City Project?”
“I support it. My sister Shizuku would too. Also, I have something to talk about when Little Dark and Shizuku return. Before that, let’s all have fun together.”
One hour later, in the courtyard of Mio’s home in the original world…
“Anyue, are you really planning to go to that world?”
“Yes, to have some H-fun with them.”
“But they don’t seem especially into that sort of thing.”
“You haven’t known them long, so you can’t fully understand them. The person who hit and killed little Mio has already had their soul taken and been destroyed by me.”
“They probably won’t be happy if they hear that.”
“Of course not, so don’t snitch, okay?”
“Don’t worry. Let’s head out.”
Eve created a tunnel, and the two walked in—but behind them, a 16-year-old black-haired girl quietly followed.
Anyue and Eve stopped.
“Who’s there?”
They turned and saw a girl with a hairstyle very similar to Kurumi from Date A Live.
“Hello, I’m Mio’s adoptive younger sister. My name is Kamikoshi Rin Westcott.”
Anyue walked over and sniffed her.
“You look so much like Kurumi. Are you coming too?”
“Yes. I grew up in an orphanage anyway. My original name was Liliel Tanoe.”
Eve shook her head.
“You’re human. Your body can’t go, and I haven’t prepared anything for you.”
“Leave her to me.”
Anyue grabbed Rin’s hand, and Rin’s body briefly glowed.
“All set!”
“Anyue, what did you do to her?”
“Just turned her half-divine and gave her a bit of my energy. I’ve read your memories, so no worries.”
“Umm, thank you, Anyue-sis.”
“Just call me Anyue. Also, I’m 414 years old. You won’t age or die from now on, but you can still be killed.”
“Thanks! Sis is going to be so happy to see me.”
“There are some things you shouldn’t talk about, so I’ll let you know in advance.”
“Got it.”
A few minutes later, Eve finished explaining.
“I see. They became Spirit Kings. That’s amazing.”
“Of course. You could even be their loyal bodyguard or something.”
“Eve, let’s go.”
“Mhm.”
The three of them stepped out from the tunnel and found themselves on the rooftop of a castle.
“Eve, I sense multiple incredibly strong powers.”
“That must be Mireya and the others.”
“But the issue is, I’m sensing four similar powers.”
“Four?”
“Could they be the Spirit Kings?”
“Maybe. Let’s go check it out.”
The three went down a level. Mireya saw them and greeted them.
“Lady Eve, are these your friends?”
“Yes. One of them is the Holy King’s adoptive sister.”
“Hello, Mireya.”
“You too. But how did you know my name?”
“My adoptive sister showed me your picture before.”
“Mireya, are the other Kings downstairs?”
“Yes.”
“Then you go rest for now.”
“Understood!”
“Anyue, Rin, wait in my room for a bit.”
“Okay.”
“Got it.”
Eve took them to the room, then hurried off downstairs herself.
There, she saw Mio and Shizuku playing a card game with the four Spirit Kings.
“I’m back.”
Shizuku looked up.
“Little Anyue!”
Eve walked over and peeked.
“Three Kingdoms Kill, huh? That’s what you’re playing?”
Lorde grinned.
“I won! Alexander said to wait for you, but you were too slow, so he gave us this to play.”
Beval nodded.
“The rules are simple. I plan to introduce this to most humans.”
Mio held up a card and said:
“Beval, this is an official deck. The text is in Chinese. In my country—the Kamikoshi-Westcott Federation—we’ll have schools teaching it in the future.”
Back in the original world, Mio was fluent in five languages: Chinese, Japanese, English, American English, and German. She often used dictionaries to read in libraries.
“Are there other games?”
“Tons. More than I can count.”
“Really!? Then hurry and bring them out!”
Beval looked thrilled.
“Human technology is lacking, though.”
“Then what do we do?”
Eve smiled.
“Leave it to me.”
She snapped her fingers and produced six PSPs. Then she taught everyone how to play. The six Kings started playing Warriors Orochi.
“Little Mio, Little Shizuku, come to my room for a bit. Two of your old friends are waiting for you.”
“Did you just say ‘you’ politely?”
In the room, Mio and Shizuku’s eyes widened.
“Anyue? Rin!?”
Anyue rushed over and hugged them both.
“I missed you two so much! All thanks to Eve’s help.”
“Big sis!”
“It’s been months, and you haven’t changed a bit.”
“Even though your appearances changed, you two are still the same inside.”
Anyue clung to the two of them adorably. Shizuku patted her head.
“Let go, Anyue.”
“Okay.”
After letting go, Anyue smiled sweetly. Rin smiled too.
“Now that we’re all together, let’s go eat somewhere nice.”
“Sure! Let’s go, Little Anyue!”
“Okay. Also, let’s expand the house and add a few more rooms.”
“A few rooms, not items.”
Rin muttered with a sigh.
Soon, the castle expanded by 15 meters, but cracks appeared in some parts.
“Oh no… should we just rebuild?”
“Yeah, why not? There are some useless spots we could redo. We don’t even need guards anyway.”
Eve suddenly remembered something.
“Hey, it’s fine to let Mireya and the others stay in Alesia for a bit, but the other Spirit Kings are still here.”
“Yeah. Originally, this was all part of the Sky City plan anyway.”
“Alright then.”
Later, Mio, Shizuku, and Eve arrived at the meeting room. The Spirit Kings were still deep into gaming and seemed fully absorbed.
Mio called out:
“Well? Having fun?”
All the Spirit Kings agreed they were having a great time. Volcanic gently put down the PSP and walked over to Mio.
“It’s super fun. But how about we get to the main topic now?”
“Sure.”
The other Kings also put down their PSPs and sat in their chairs. Eve copied Shizuku’s document into four copies and handed them out.
The paper contained a detailed city plan for Sky City.
Isaria spoke up:
“Alexander, want to go to the Land of Ice sometime?”
“Land of Ice?”
Isaria looked confused. Alexander used to go there often—how could he forget?
“You forgot?”
“Yeah… human brains aren’t as good as my original body.”
“True enough. Human brain, after all.”
At that moment, a bunch of white paper pieces fell from the ceiling. A cute girl’s voice came from them.
Then the paper turned into a person. Mio and Shizuku immediately recognized her.
(Demon Lord’s daughter, Nibecol!)
“Who’s that?”
Isaria asked.
“Me? I’m Nibecol, nickname Nibeko. I’m Mio’s adorable daughter.”
Eve smiled.
(Thanks to Anyue’s power-up, I managed to go to the Date A Live world and duplicate a Spirit Crystal. Now Mio has a guardian.)
