“It is nothing.”
Faced with his friend’s confusion, Su Mian simply shook his head and offered no further explanation; he had neither the time nor the mood for it.
That sweet aroma was stimulating his nerves every second, making every passing moment an absolute agony.
It was only because he was accustomed to enduring similar sensations that he managed to refrain from lunging forward the moment they met.
Su Mian took a deep breath, attempting to cool down his heating body.
After barely suppressing his restless instincts, he looked up at the man standing not far away and spoke with some difficulty.
“Thank you for yesterday, Officer. At that time… I think I was suffering from heatstroke. My head was spinning and my mind was a mess. I remember pushing you, didn’t I? I am truly sorry.”
“It is nothing.”
Jiang Xun waved his hand lightly and chuckled, seemingly unbothered by the incident.
Then, a look of curiosity crossed his face.
“By the way, I saw you two staring at the police van when I got out. Is something the matter? Oh, right. My name is Jiang. You can call me Officer Jiang. This is my ID. You can report anything to me at any time.”
The man pulled out a small black notebook and showed it to Qi Chuan to prove he was indeed a police officer.
Qi Chuan checked it, found no issues, and handed it back with an embarrassed expression.
“Actually, there is something…”
He instinctively glanced at Su Mian, but Su Mian could no longer hold back.
To avoid exposure, Su Mian pretended he had an urgent need to use the restroom, clutching his stomach with a pale face.
“You… you talk to the officer. I need to go to the bathroom first!”
He turned and left without giving Qi Chuan a chance to stop him.
Qi Chuan was left with no choice but to awkwardly explain his business.
As Jiang Xun listened, his peripheral vision remained on the back of the youth who had “fled” for the second time, and he raised an eyebrow.
After leaving the two of them, Su Mian searched for a while before finally finding a restroom.
However, the place had clearly been abandoned for a long time; weeds grew through the cracks in the floor and the door would not even open.
He had not actually come here to use the toilet.
He found a hidden corner and, after ensuring no one was around to see him, he crouched down and began to pant heavily.
If Qi Chuan were here now, he would have noticed that Su Mian’s eyes were an eerie shade of red, glowing faintly.
That clean-cut face was rapidly becoming monstrously beautiful and strange.
Su Mian clutched his chest, feeling his heart pounding at an abnormal rate of hundreds of beats per minute.
His blood felt as if it were boiling.
‘Quiet down!’
He gritted his teeth and pulled a round plastic object from his pocket.
He flipped the lid to reveal a mirror the size of his palm.
In the mirror, he saw that his face was now identical to the girl he had seen previously.
The only difference was that his hair was still short and black.
Upon closer inspection, however, many strands of silver were already appearing in the black hair.
The person in the mirror spoke first, chuckling behind her hand.
“Look at you. You look like a beggar who hasn’t eaten in ten days suddenly seeing a row of roasted sheep. I know what you want to ask. That man is definitely not normal.”
“So, his blood?”
“Maybe it is useful, maybe it isn’t. Who knows without trying?”
The other self spoke vaguely, and Su Mian felt a wave of internal struggle.
Then, he heard her seductive voice whispering in his ear.
“Do you want to attack a police officer? Wow! Mian Mian has finally grown up, actually considering such things.”
“Get lost!”
Su Mian felt irritable and increasingly miserable.
He had not expected this when he left the house.
Yesterday, in his dazed state, he simply thought the man smelled good, but today he realized the man was definitely not a normal human.
The aura of desire within his body was dozens of times stronger than that of an ordinary person.
His boiling vitality was something Su Mian had never seen before; it was hard to imagine a normal human possessing it.
Combined with the man’s status as a police officer, he had a hunch.
‘Is this guy some kind of official ability user?’
If he attacked such a person, he would be seeking his own death.
If the man were an ordinary person, Su Mian might have actually been unable to resist testing him, but the official status made him hesitate.
“No, I am a law-abiding citizen and a Triple-A student. I cannot do this.”
Su Mian muttered to himself, causing the girl in the mirror to roll her eyes.
“Then what do you plan to do? Once our appetite is sparked, it won’t just vanish. Can you endure it? Or will you give the body to me?”
“None of your business. I can handle it.”
Su Mian ignored her nonsense and took a deep breath as he stood up.
He suddenly realized his pants had become loose.
There was a strange, cold, and empty feeling between his legs.
Meanwhile, his loose shirt had become tight.
Looking down, his first sight was of two full mounds, their rounded shapes stretching the fabric to an exaggerated degree.
Because the material was thin, two specific points were faintly visible.
His—or rather, her—expression turned very ugly.
She rubbed her face hard to keep her composure.
Her predicament caused the other self to burst into laughter.
The girl in the mirror laughed until tears came.
“Hahaha! This is hilarious! If you walk out on the street like this, you will definitely be treated like a pervert! Hahaha!”
Su Mian did not respond.
With an expressionless face, she pulled up the pants that were nearly sliding down.
She closed the mirror and stuffed it back into her pocket.
But the girl did not exist solely in the mirror; she could still feel her pressing against her ear, whispering seductive words.
The voice tempted her, trying to lead her toward corruption and ruin.
The blood in her body boiled, creating an eerie bubbling sound like water reaching a boil.
This caused Su Mian’s eyes to turn even more crimson.
Her short hair had grown to her shoulders, and more than a third of it had turned silver.
She stood still as a statue for a long time.
Then, she pulled out her phone and sent a message to Qi Chuan.
She turned off the phone immediately.
In the next second, the monstrously beautiful figure turned and vanished from the area.
