The Maid’s Predicament

Chapter 101,589 words14 min read

Xiang Qing: “Ah?”

‘Was she hearing things?’

Gu Wei took a step forward, instantly closing the distance between them until Xiang Qing could distinctly smell the faint perfume on her.

Reaching out, she firmly grasped Xiang Qing’s chin, forcing her to lift her head and meet her gaze.

Then, under Xiang Qing’s terrified gaze, Gu Wei slowly extended the tip of her tongue and deliberately licked her own moist lips.

It was a simple gesture, yet it exuded an ineffable sensuality.

“Just like this,” she purred, her voice laced with amusement.

“Perhaps… it will taste even better.”

“Come now, my little maid.”

“Don’t dawdle, I can’t wait.”

Xiang Qing’s mind utterly exploded.

‘Holy crap!’

‘What kind of twisted logic did this woman possess? Not brushing her teeth… would make it taste better?’

‘Were these even words a person should utter? Were these actions a person should commit?’

She had initially thought her excuse about not brushing her teeth was disgusting enough, but she never expected her opponent to be even more ruthless!

‘When the path of virtue rises a foot, the devil rises ten!’

Staring at Gu Wei’s beautiful face, which practically screamed, ‘Come feed me,’ Xiang Qing felt her worldview being repeatedly crushed and then remolded.

“Hurry up,” Gu Wei demanded, a hint of impatience coloring her tone as Xiang Qing remained motionless. “My patience is finite. If you don’t obey, you can get out of here right now.”

‘That trick again! Always using money to pressure her!’

Xiang Qing gritted her teeth in frustration, her inner self having already pummeled Gu Wei ten thousand times in her mind.

‘But…’

She glanced towards the door, then considered the balance in her bank account.

‘No, I can’t leave.’

‘Leaving would mean forfeiting those eight hundred thousand, and even worse, this madwoman would absolutely make good on her threat to ban her live stream channel!’

‘That was her livelihood!’

‘Calm down! Xiang Qing, you must calm down! Workers must have the spirit of a worker, and workers are superior people!’

‘…What a load of crap!’

In a flash of lightning, her survival instinct once again seized the upper hand.

Xiang Qing took a deep breath, forcing herself to conjure a stiff smile.

“CEO Gu, I’ll feed you, I’ll feed you, alright?”

She reassured herself inwardly as she spoke: ‘It’s just feeding water, isn’t it? As long as my posture is peculiar enough, it won’t harm me in the slightest!’

“However, I have a condition.”

“Oh?” Gu Wei raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised that Xiang Qing dared to make demands.

“I… I’ll have to stand while feeding you, and you’ll sit.”

Xiang Qing racked her brain, then began to spout nonsense. “And I need to stand a bit further away, pouring it down to you from above. This way… this way it has more of a sense of ritual!”

She gesticulated as she spoke.

“Think about it, I’ll be standing high up, and the water will descend from the heavens, falling into your mouth. This is called ‘Heaven-Sent Nectar’! What wonderful symbolism!”

‘She truly was a genius of logic!’

‘This way, with a vast distance separating them, even if she were Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, she wouldn’t be able to pull any tricks!’

‘Perfect!’

Xiang Qing mentally gave herself a thumbs-up.

However, upon hearing her brilliant plan, Gu Wei’s interest visibly plummeted.

She swept her gaze over Xiang Qing, her expression akin to looking at an idiot.

Gu Wei, of course, knew exactly what Xiang Qing was plotting.

What she wanted to see was Xiang Qing’s mortified compliance, that intense, tension-filled push-and-pull dynamic when they were in such close proximity.

Now, what good was this? One standing, one sitting, playing high-altitude feeding from a meter away?

‘What was the point then?’

“Forget it,” Gu Wei declared, instantly losing all interest. She waved a dismissive hand and slumped back into the sofa. “I’m no longer in the mood.”

Xiang Qing: “…”

‘You’ve got to be kidding me, officer, this is allowed?’

She felt as though she had punched a cotton ball, neither hitting solid ground nor getting anywhere, leaving her utterly frustrated.

Just as she was congratulating herself on having narrowly escaped, Gu Wei’s languid voice chimed in once more.

She lifted a slender finger, pointing towards the extravagantly ornate crystal chandelier suspended from the center of the ceiling.

“Since feeding water is uninteresting, let’s do something else instead.”

“Little maid, go and clean that lamp for me.”

Xiang Qing followed her gaze, and her heart sank.

The chandelier, by her estimation, hung at least four or five meters from the floor, its structure as intricate as a labyrinth, adorned with countless sparkling crystal pendants.

‘This… was this even a human’s job?’

“What, unwilling?” Gu Wei tilted her head, observing her.

“Willing, willing! I’ll go right away!”

Xiang Qing immediately nodded profusely, bowing slightly, terrified that if she delayed even a second, this madwoman would conjure up an even more outlandish scheme.

‘Wiping a lamp was still better than mouth-to-mouth feeding!’

Resigned, she hurried to the storage room, retrieving a rag and cleaning solution.

Yet, a new problem arose.

The ceiling height of this luxurious mansion was simply preposterous; even with her short stature, she couldn’t reach the edge of the lamp, not even by jumping.

She scanned her surroundings, finally settling her gaze on a sturdy-looking European-style square stool in the corner of the living room.

Though the stool appeared quite valuable, she couldn’t afford to care about that now.

Xiang Qing laboriously dragged the stool beneath the chandelier, then found a piece of paper to cushion its surface before cautiously stepping onto it.

Ouch!”

The stool wobbled slightly, causing Xiang Qing to cry out in alarm and quickly steady herself by gripping her knees.

“Tsk, utterly useless.”

Unable to watch any longer, Gu Wei leisurely rose from the sofa and walked over to the stool.

“Steady yourself,” Gu Wei instructed, extending a hand to brace the stool’s legs. “I’ll hold it for you, but don’t expect me to pay for your medical bills if you fall.”

A warmth bloomed in Xiang Qing’s heart.

‘Oh, so this madwoman actually had a conscience?’

She steadied herself, rose onto her tiptoes, stretched out her arms, and began to painstakingly wipe down the crystal pendants.

She wiped with meticulous care, completely oblivious to the burning gaze fixed upon her from below.

Gu Wei claimed to be steadying the stool, yet her head was subtly tilted upwards, her posture perfectly positioned.

From her vantage point, the view was simply exquisite.

The hem of Xiang Qing’s pitifully short maid uniform skirt had, due to her tiptoeing, ridden up even further.

The rounded curves encased in black lace and her pair of straight, slender legs were revealed to her without reservation.

Even… that small patch of pure white fabric was faintly visible.

‘Tsk.’

‘How truly innocent.’

A playful smile curved on Gu Wei’s lips.

‘How could Xiang Qing not know what she was doing!’

‘Though she couldn’t see, she could certainly feel it!’

A cool draft continually brushed against her beneath her skirt, a subtle, almost imperceptible current of air.

The sensation was as if Gu Wei’s breath was practically fanning her backside!

‘Damn it!’

‘This perverted hooligan! This freak! This peeping tom!’

She wasn’t steadying the stool at all; she was shamelessly peeking up her skirt!

Xiang Qing’s face instantly flushed crimson, and her movements grew stiff.

‘Humiliation!’

‘This was an absolute disgrace!’

As a straight man in her heart, a true steel-straight man, to be gazed upon like this by a woman! The shame was a hundred times worse than being watched by tens of thousands while cross-dressing during a live stream!

All she wanted now was for this to end quickly, so she could rush into the bathroom and scrub herself clean ten or eight times over!

“To the right, there’s still a bit of dust there, not wiped clean.”

Gu Wei’s voice drifted up from below, low and laced with a languid amusement.

Xiang Qing gritted her teeth, stiffly shifting her body to extend the rag towards the right.

As she wiped, she clamped her legs tightly together, attempting to minimize any accidental exposure.

However, just as she shifted, her foot suddenly slipped!

“Ah!”

Xiang Qing lost her balance, her entire body tilting backward, on the verge of toppling from the stool!

In that critical moment, a pair of warm hands suddenly reached out from below, not to steady the stool, but to precisely and firmly grasp her smooth calf!

“I told you to stand steady,” Gu Wei admonished.

Gu Wei’s voice carried a note of reproach, yet her hands were anything but innocent.

Her palm was warm, pressing against Xiang Qing’s skin, even tracing the curve of her calf before giving it a gentle, deliberate squeeze.

Xiang Qing froze, her entire body rigid.

‘!!!!’

‘She touched my leg!’

‘She actually touched my leg!’

A jolt of tingling electricity instantly shot through her entire body from where she was touched, Xiang Qing’s mind buzzed, and she even forgot to breathe.

She could distinctly feel Gu Wei’s fingers still lightly caressing her leg.

The movement was laden with innuendo.

Immediately afterward, Gu Wei’s low, ambiguous voice, laced with amusement, resonated almost against her upper thigh.

“Your leg… it’s trembling.”
